We checked in for our wedding night. A special treat at such a luxury hotel before our low key honeymoon. The front desk staff including Hannah, Ed and one other lovely young curly haired brunette with braces were wonderful at check in. Made us feel so welcome. Sadly, our dinner experience in the drawing room was absolutely horrendous. Andrew was so incredibly rude and defensive when we said we didn't think he was communicating with us about our order. He got very angry and snotty. We asked to speak to the hotel manager and he must have realized he was in trouble. He told us the hotel didn't have a manager at night. We questioned that because any luxury hotel always has a manager on duty. He lied again and we ate our cold fries and burnt hamburger. (The lobster BLT was good but the fried green tomatoes were lacking on it.) We went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager privately. We didn't want to cause a scene or upset other guests by complaining. She graciously brought us to a different area and very empathetically heard us out. She was so supportive and apologized profusely. She asked if the restaurant tried to make it right and we told her Andrew basically refused to hear us out. Hannah immediately did WAY more than enough to make it right with a meal refund and some gracious extras. She made it right and then 10x more. Hannah went above and beyond for us. The other front desk staff were so apologetic on behalf of the restaurant too. They were totally amazing. Even it maintenance man and valet heard about our situation and tried to make it right. Except for the dining staff everything was perfect.

Lovely hotel in a great location! Right near the former fairgrounds, all the most interesting restaurants and bars, and the Sunsphere. Front desk staff is very welcoming. The Drawing Room restaurant staff and food were also great, and the cocktail list is wonderful.

Driving north I chose this for it being pet friendly. Pictures looked nice so we took a chance on our road trip. Wow we were so elated with this hotel. Every detail was amazing and beautiful. Reminded me of The Edition brand of hotels. The food was top notch and actually got room service. (So many hotels stopped) The bathroom was beautiful and shower was huge and had ridiculously wonderful water pressure. Shower was a hot after driving five hours and arriving late at night. Employees very sweet and loved on our puppies and gave them treats, which they loved. Rooms were 5 star. Don't hesitate to stay here! Surprised someone would be so bougie as to complain about the hotel not turning your sheets down. Sounds like a bitter person because this hotel was impressive and I have stayed at quite a few 5 star hotels and am very critical. We are actually planning on coming back just to stay here and explore Knoxville!

    Valentine's Day romantic turndown

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Valentine's Day weekend and loved it!! He got us the romantic turndown for our room and took me by complete surprise! Upon arriving to our room the area had a romantic feeling with the lights turned down and then I saw the roses on the bed, the matching robes and slippers, and also champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! It was amazing! Everyone there was super helpful and nice too, especially the people working the valet. We've talked about making this our valentines tradition so I can't wait to come back next year!

Great Room - comfy bed - well appointed bathroom.

What a great boutique hotel. I didn't have the time to try out the restaurant... but the service was outstanding. I stayed here at the insistence of one of my colleagues who has had numerous business trips to Knoxville. I'm glad I did! The room was well appointed - the bathroom was large with a great walk in shower and premium shampoo, etc. The staff were top notch - a real example for the hotel and hospitality industry. As a business traveler, you really appreciate this sort of experience.

Incident Report - Drury Hotels Knoxville West…read more I have stayed at this location since before the 2019/20 remodel, both personally and on behalf of numerous clients. Until now, I have always received excellent service. However, during my most recent stay, I experienced unacceptable treatment by a staff member. Stay Dates: * September 9-11, 2025 - No issues, hospitable stay. * September 16-18, 2025 - Incident occurred. Incident Details: * Date/Time: September 17, 2025, approx. 10:08 p.m. - 11:04 p.m. * Location: Pool/Patio Area & Front Desk * Employee Involved: Adam Bradley At approximately 10:08 p.m., I attempted to re-enter the patio area via the pool access door, but my key card failed. At 10:13 p.m., I went to the front desk for assistance. Adam made eye contact but did not greet or acknowledge me. When I requested access, he refused, citing pool policy, despite my explaining I only needed to retrieve personal items. He threw down his paperwork and angrily escorted me to the door. His demeanor was aggressive and made me uncomfortable. When I stated I did not want an escort, he replied that he "didn't care." After I retrieved my phone, Adam began swinging his arms violently in my direction, coming close enough that I felt the movement of air. While I was on speakerphone with my husband, Adam shouted at me, waved his arms again, brushed past me nearly knocking me down, and then said: "Now I'm gonna have to have this cleaned. I hate cleaning behind you people." I told him to stop, left the area, and was followed by Adam, who asked for my room number. I returned to my room and immediately called the police. Officer McLeod and Cadet Goode arrived at 11:04 p.m. Follow-Up: * September 18, 2025, 9:15 a.m. - Filed follow-up report with police. * Reported incident to hotel manager Tristan, including Adam's "cleaning" comment. Tristan appeared concerned. * Observed maintenance staff cleaning the pool that morning; they confirmed it was a "rush ticket" from the prior night. Conclusion:This behavior is wholly inconsistent with the standards I have come to expect from Drury Hotels. It was hostile, discriminatory, and threatening. I believe Adam's conduct goes far beyond a need for training and warrants prosecution. Charges have been filed.

The shops were all very unique and a huge variety of food options. We also walked around on Gay street which was similar.' The ally between Market Square has beautiful murals by different artists. I would highly recommend walking through. However as a woman I would only walk through during day time hours preferably with someone else. The ally has these small holes which many homeless individuals were in. The one thing that was concerning on multiple levels was the huge populations of individuals that were without a home. Homelessness is not a new challenge to cities, however it appeared that an inordinate amount of them have significant mental health challenges. Appeared to be in an altered state, walking around talking to themselves loudly. This was concerning on a humanitarian level but also a safety. I want to be very clear, nothing happened and we were safe. We did buy several meals to give.

On the wall across from the elevators on the first floor were helpful handwritten postings such as: Favorite local restaurants; Favorite local bars; Favorite local attractions; Local things to know; Local shopping and retail; Things to know (breakfast is from 6:30am-10:30am) I thought this was pretty creative as well as very informative. Room was clean. Bed slept great. No noise (that I was aware of) during the night, so I got a great nights rest. Breakfast was served the next morning in the lobby. It was nothing to write home about, so I just had some coffee. Checkout the next morning was a breeze and we were once again on the road to Milwaukee. Was pleased with this place so we stayed here again on our trip back a week later.
