I stayed at Music Road Hotel and Convention Center this week (6/7-12/2026) for a conference. My supervisor booked all our rooms under his name but I will leave a review since I had my own room. We I arrived the clerks at the front desk were very friendly, respectful, and very accommodating. When I walked into the room, at first glance it was clean. But if you looked closely, when house keeping vacuums they miss along the wall. They would replace the towels and take the trash but that's as far as it would go. But overall, it was good. read more

Beautiful View, but there were some comfort and amenity gaps. We booked a king suite with a jacuzzi tub and a river view. The view was truly beautiful--we could see the river and the fog covered mountains, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. The price of the room initially enticed us, and in that sense it was probably worth what we paid. However, we were looking forward to using the jacuzzi tub, but after it took nearly an hour to fill, the excitement wore off and we ended up not enjoying it as much as expected. The room temperature was another challenge. The room has a wall AC unit, which we kept set at 66 degrees in February. When the unit cycled off, the room quickly became warm. Since the unit is located in the main room, no cool air reached the bathroom, and it stayed uncomfortably warm. The hallways throughout the hotel were also extremely warm. According to the hotel description, the room was supposed to include a coffeemaker, microwave, and mini refrigerator, but none of these were present. We were also surprised to find that there was no hair dryer provided. The mattress was also a concern--it sagged quite a bit and felt a little lumpy. That said, we still managed to sleep okay. On a positive note, the breakfast was pretty good, and the view from the room really was lovely. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean Overall, the stay had some nice aspects, but the lack of advertised amenities, temperature issues, and slow-filling jacuzzi took away from the experience. read more

Christine was very friendly and welcoming upon check-in. Our river side view room was on the 5th floor and the view is beautiful! Our room was spotless! Very nice rocking chairs on the balcony with no spiders or webs getting all over you. We love the outdoor and indoor pool hours also. That will keep our daughter busy! Breakfast was pretty good also! We stayed at the Music Road Resort Hotel for the second time. When we arrived, to be honest, we were worried. There were hardly any cars in the lot, no line for check-in, and the VERY nice pool was almost empty. Compared to our last visit, it was a ghost town. When it comes to hotels, these are never good signs. Our fears were misplaced. Our room was excellent, everyone got a good nights sleep, the complementary breakfast was nice (typical serve yourself, but they had not one, but TWO of the obligatory waffle makers). And for my life giving coffee, WHOLE MILK! Whole milk is a rarity when traveling these days. The interior is a bit dated, as others have mentioned, but I don't go around looking for peeling paint on a door. No bugs. So far, every staff member has been pleasant. I wish the room we were in had carpet, but I understand the maintenance plus of hard floors. Would we stay here again??? Absolutely! We are staying one more night so all of this is subject to change... read more

Negatives: A little dated with some spot repairs obvious. Strong smell of chlorine in the halls, even on 6th floor. Breakfast was on pace with low end hotels. Positives: clean. Family friendly. Breakfast was more in line with a much lower-class hotel. Guest service was really bad as they run off skeleton crew and no one available to assist. We have stayed three times at this location and will be the last. Rooms are nothing special and as i said, guest service is bad to nonexistent. Could lead to an unsafe environment. read more

Great place to stay. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfy and the largest bathrooms and best lighting to do hair and makeup in any hotel where we've stayed. The breakfast bar received an okay rating from the family members that tried it. The only downsides were guests talking loudly in the hallway and room doors slamming late at night (not the hotel's fault) and the parking area on backside of hotel wasn't well lit. Bonus: it's located only a couple of blocks off the parkway. read more

Would have got 4 stars, until I had the experience with the most arrogant, rude, Manger in the conference center who made it clear that she was a Manager. Some colleagues and friends stepped initiative a banquet room off the hall for some privacy and she stormed in and told us to get out. We had not intruded on anyone working nor did we interfere with the set tables for the event scheduled for the evening which it just so happens we would be attending. As someone with years of management experience and some of it in the hospitality industry. I would fire this so called manager and make her apologize to the people she interacted with. What a shame such a nice property would let this one woman ruin the guest experience of so many people. But I am sure nothing will be done, as long as we pay the bill. read more

Music Road Resort Hotel is one of my favorite spots in Pigeon Forge. I always stay in the older part, for the antique decor is so elegant to me. The sheets are always so fresh and clean as snow. I sleep well when I'm there. I also like the fact that the floors are hard and not carpeted. The pool area is very nice, this location is very convenient to all the places you would want to go visit. read more

Not much to really complain about This was a nice hotel. The only issue we had was the elevators. They were slow and the key cards wouldn't open the stairway door so we could use the stairs. Aside from that this hotel had a nice indoor and outdoor pool setup. The breakfast was great. On site parking which everyone wants. Plenty of space in the two queen bed deluxe room. Although I question the beds being true queen beds. I would definitely go back! read more

Absolutely awful experience with this hotel. I was at the outdoor pool swimming with my kids when a family came outside and set up a radio out there and turned it up extremely loud, blasting their music across the pool. I asked a guy to turn it down, and he did but as soon as I walked away, he turned it up even more. I went to the front desk to complain to the manager on duty, and she told me that she was the only person working right now and would come deal with it as soon as she could. About 20 minutes ago by and she didn't come out, so I went to go ask the guy to turn it down again. This dude exploded and started cursing me out, hollering at me about how he didn't care and dropping numerous f-bombs and physically threatening me right there in front of his family and mine. So, okay, we decided it was best to leave because apparently this guy was mentally unstable and we didn't know what could happen. We got our things, got the kids out of the pool and went back to the front desk to explain what happened. Again, she says that she couldn't leave the front desk and would get to it when she could because she had to manage the rest of the property too. I told her that I felt like when guests are being threatened with violence by other guests, it might be time to do something about it, but that didn't seem to make a difference. Her coworker finally came back and she went out to the pool to go check on things, but came back and told me that there was no music playing so she didn't see any issues. We described the person and even looked at the security cameras, but she continued to tell us that there was nothing she could do about it and advised us to go to a pool at sister property nearby since we didn't feel safe with those people out there. I would strongly recommend staying away from this hotel - if you have an issue such as being threatened with violence by other guests, they will do nothing to help. We paid good money to stay at a nice place, and when my family's safety was threatened, they told us to leave and let the other people stay. read more

First of all, it's more of just a nice hotel and not a resort. The rooms are larger than average compared to like hotels. Common areas are very large and well-kept also. Due to Covid restrictions there was not breakfast nor any complementary coffee in the lobby, something we have gotten used to. Convenient area, restaurants very close, several to choose from. Also the main drag through the area is very close that gives other options with activities and shopping. read more

We came here to stay based on the reviews and felt it would be a good fit for us. However, the room we were booked we found roaches, after the 3 one found we asked for another room. They were great about moving us, the issue we had was the hotel was really not as nice as I thought it would be (Chew marks on headboard, small tv, barely any water pressure at all in the shower, pool table was missing balls and as mentioned "roaches".) Then, finally to top off our stay we had to spring forward an hour for daylight savings time and asked for a late checkout and was denied that, so not happy with this and will not be back... read more

Booked suite and a double. Upon reservation was told I could get them near each other. Requested rooms be near each other and the person booking made a note and told me yes. Called prior to ensure this was the case and was told yes rooms will be near each other. Got to check in on Monday July 1st 2024, told by front desk rooms were not near each other. No apology. Ask to see a manger at 5 pm that same day and told there was no manager on duty but there would be five the next day. At breakfast, it ends at 10 am. They locked people out on the deck. The staff refused to open the deck door to let you through the building. Bathrooms near pool full of disgusting poop all the time. Still that way 3 days later. Received a mast letter under the door for smoke complaints even though we were the ones that did the complaining and don't smoke. Breakfast is gross and is the same thing every day with no variety. Staff were rude the entire time. Upon check out tried to get a reasonable accommodation for the issues of rooms not being near each other. Ask to speak to manager. Manager came out at 8 on July 5th and said "what's your problem". Didn't introduce herself and never apologized. Repeated the policy several times. Would it admit her staff had lied not once but three times about the room. Told me she would lose her job if she helped me. This hotel is run by the rudest people. They get your reservation wrong. They have forgotten who the customer is and who actually pays their paychecks. Stay anywhere else but this chain of horribly run hotels. I would have left a nicer review if at least one of the staff said sorry and how may I help you. Staff needs trained on conflict resolution, empowered to help the customers, and how to clean more timely. I told them I would give them a bad review and the manager that says said "I figured as much and I don't care". That's right they don't care about the guest here as long as they stay booked with travelers who are unaware of what they are about to experience. read more

While parked at the Music Road Resort for a 3 night stay, the Catalytic Converter was cut off of my car during the first night. I spent 2 days out of 3 from our vacation dealing with all of the fallout. I don't blame the hotel necessarily, but I do feel they could have been a little more supportive during the ordeal. When I first realized it had happened, I went to the hotel front desk. Their on call manager told me he would look into it on the security footage and call me back. Later that day he called me back and simply said that I need to call the police. I told him my Insurance company had already processed the claim and didn't need a police report but again he said that I needed to call the police now. So I spent the 2nd half of that day talking to the police and giving a statement even though the policeman himself said that they rarely are able to catch anyone from security cameras. The manager told me that they would reach out to me the next day. I never heard back from the manager until 2 days later when it was time to check out and asked to speak with him. The first manager, Angel, was off putting and basically said "sorry for your luck that sucks". I had no expectations of them paying part of the insurance claim, but thought that since I spent literally 2/3 of my vacation dealing with an issue that happened because of a lack of reliable security on their part that they might comp us a night or two to come back during a slow time since we only live an hour away. Angel went to the back and brought back the main manager, John Hogt. He was adamant about saying that if the hotel did "Anything" for me, then that would mean they are assuming liability for the accident and that goes against their policies. For a hotel room that we paid well over $200 per night for I expected better customer service. There's hundreds of places to stay in Pigeon Forge. I've stayed in plenty of hotels there and never had my car burglarized. Ha I told the manager, Jon Hogt, that I was on the fence about our hotel stay. Had my car not been burglarized to the tune of about $2000, we would have had a nice time. Even though Mr. Hogt and the hotel were not directly responsible for the theft, they had an opportunity to help make the stay of their guest better and have us as return guests to make future money from us. I told him politely that if the hotel maintains their stance and basically says "tough luck" then I'd have no other choice than to post an honest review of the hotel and let customers know that their car and their valuables are not safe here. They'd be much better finding a bigger chain that knows how to treat their customers. Jon told me that I should go ahead and write the review as he is the person who is in charge of responding to online reviews for the hotel and that he looked forward to reading my review. This hotel treated me and my family like we were a burden because someone sawed a $2000 part off my car in the middle of their parking lot. I will never stay at this hotel again and I will adamantly advise everyone to stay literally anywhere else when you visit the Pigeon Forge area. Holiday Inn would never leave their guests hanging like this in the same situation. read more

Nice hotel and decently priced. Our room with two queen size beds was very large with two sinks in the bathroom. I like that it has wood floors with area rugs. It seems cleaner that way. The complimentary breakfast is sufficient though we had to bring our own Splenda. It's conveniently located to the Parkway, attractions and dining. The tub is pretty high so for an older person, it may be hard to get up into it. The mattress could probably use replacing. I was leaning to the side. My only other complaint, and it's relatively minor, is that they do not make the bed each day and they did not replenish our shampoo and conditioner one of the three nights. The updated rooms have hardwood floors. Who doesn't love hardwood? No more germ, soiled infested carpet. This hotel is right off the parkway and very conveniently located. Plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor pool. The family suite included a kitchenette. Buffet breakfast included eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, fruit, juice, cinnamon rolls and other delectables. Oh the cinnamon rolls! They are made fresh with cream cheese icing and so tasty. Downside is housekeeping did not sweep my room at all during my 5 night stay. Just imagine stepping on crumbs with bare feet on hardwood, thee worst! Overall, I would recommend this hotel. read more

The hotel is pretty old. The rooms definitely could use an update. Carpets are pretty old and stained throughout room and hotel. The tub is pretty stained and gross. Old decor throughout doesn't help either. Just needs updated. Bed wasn't too uncomfortable. Pretty decent. They are older however. Every room has a little balcony which is nice but the lawn furniture they have is really old and cracked/broken. There is one elevator which at times you can wait quite a bit for. Annoying with little kids & during a pandemic where you don't want to ride with other people. The best part has been the pool area. Our kids love it. The indoor pool is open 24 hrs and my older child has loved hanging out with other kids till midnight! The outdoor pool is open till 11. The pool area is very well kept, lots of towels, social distancing wasn't an issue since it's bigger. The slide is great for any age. Even my 2 year old was going down! The hotels location is awesome too. Very central to lots of things. The Skyliner Diner right beside hotel is awesome! Another reason I can't give 4-5 star is our view is of a cemetery on the 6th floor! Lol kinda weird but that isn't the hotels fault really. It's just not the best views. We just spent 5 nights at this hotel and loved it. Our room had double sinks and a bathroom with tons of space. our room was extra spacious and had a balcony. Breakfast every morning included everything buffet style from fresh eggs to cereal and waffles to biscuits and gravy. There is an indoor pool and a large outdoor pool that had fountains, a slide and a lazy river with depths of 3-4 feet and lots of seating. We never got into the game /arcade room. The pools are super clean and fresh towels arrived every day. If we went back to Pigeon Forge, we would definitely stay here again !! read more

There were a few things we liked about the hotel, but the bad overrides the good. We liked the pool, but it was closed for two out of the three days we stayed. I don't hold it against them because things happen and we could see they were working on it. The staff did offer the use of the inn facilities. The breakfast was okay. What we didn't like: the place was not clean. I had to call to have the carpet cleaned. There was smashed food in it. This is something that should have been noticed upon check out cleaning. The couch was dirty. The door to the hotel room was peeling. The sinks in the bathroom are nice, but too high for children. I don't think we will stay here again. read more

Really awful experience from this "resort." Terrible customer service- being hung up on, told multiple times that our room would be ready in and hour. Six hours later we were finally told our room was ready and had to wait in a thirty minute line. Embarrassing. The front desk ladies were rude and insincere- in addition to not knowing how the hotel functions and giving misleading information. Pool was not clean. Absolutely no Covid precautions. read more

For the most part, the hotel was great -- nice/clean room, friendly staff, large room, and even a good variety for breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not sleep at all. Our room was on the ground floor and people walked up and down the hallway nonstop. We could hear EVERY WORD and this continued until well after midnight each night along with slamming doors and the ice machine. The walls were paper thin. My other complaint is about how loud the people were I honestly couldn't believe how inconsiderate and just overall rude some people can be. I even called the front desk about the noise the first night and was told that there was convention staying within the hotel and that their meeting had just let out and it should shortly quiet down, IT DID NOT! DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Some of the hotel workers are nice but the others have no customer service. The only one that is nice is a girl named "Carol". But all of the other ones had absolutely not customer service. The housekeeping also was yelling back and forth to each other down the hallway very early in the morning. Also, we originally left a review on Expedia and gave them 3 stars. The next morning at 8:00 am the hotel manager was calling our phones, and banging on our door. They were complaining about the review and they were also asking how they could make our stay better. It didn't make it any better that they were calling us this early in the morning. The hotel was not clean at all, it has dust everywhere, bugs everywhere, ants everywhere, our phone was broken, and our mini fridge broke half way through our stay. We had to get an extra cot/bed that was $10 dollars a night it had almost no sheets on it and when we asked for some sheets and we were told "No". Lastly, the maintenance crew always closed the pool earlier than the normal closing time. This is overall the worst hotel I've been to, DON'T STAY HERE! read more

This place had good and bad but the bad far outweighs the good. First and foremost the staff. Rude, unprofessional and will go out of their way to make you feel like you're an annoyance not a guest. This place has a major management issue. Secondly, the room itself. Spacious and great riverside view. The beds. Supposedly queen size but if so it's the smallest queen bed I've ever seen. Also, the mattress was so broken down the sides were slanting so badly that you slid off the edge. The A/C had two modes. Arctic blast or sauna. The shower and bathroom area. While spacious the hot water temperature was so hot if someone isn't careful they will quite literally get scalded and likely end up in the ER with burns. I wish that was an exaggeration. The breakfast was just subpar. I'd just skip it altogether. The one bright spot was the pools. Nice size and the outdoor pool is heated. (Sort of). This hotel is in need of some serious upgrades in both physical appearance inside and outside as well as a staff overhaul. I'd recommend starting over with staff who at least pretend to care about the stay of their guests. Carol, I'm looking at you. You may want a new profession. One where dealing with people on a daily basis isn't involved. There are plenty of other places on the parkway to stay. I'd recommend any of those instead of here. So close to all the excitement of Pigeon Forge, such a great view of the river and the main drag. The staff was great, everything was clean-even the pool area which was straightened up regularly and well stocked.
