You can leave and they call you when it's time to be tested. You can show up 10-15 minutes later and that's ok. Based on all of that I would give them a 5 rating. However, when you arrive there are 5-6 employees each with a different task, and no one greets you or acknowledges you at all. You have to be assertive and speak up or else you'll be waiting forever while other customers speak up and get helped. My biggest issue is that although they wear gloves, they don't change them!! A couple employees will squirt sanitizer on their gloves now and then but the lady who did my test did not. Before that she was helping others and handling paperwork and other object including the phone. WTF?? It COVID and they're not taking precautions they should. Otherwise good and pretty much the only easy choice available.

I knew that I would not be able to get in with my normal doctor and was dreading sitting in the Urgent Care with all the hacking, sniffling, wheezing, germy people. I was thrilled to be able to see anyone when I got the appointment to see Colleen. I was even more impressed at how down to earth she was and she actually listened to my complaints and asked questions to adequately diagnose the problem. What I think impressed me the most was that she explained everything to me and kind of educated me as well. She was good medicine on a day that I really needed it. She sent me on my way with a Rx and assurance that it was a dreaded ol' sinus infection and not the flu. Although the staff are still the same snotty and bitchy (excuse me but no other word fits) as when I see my primary doctor here, Colleen's time with me and the warmth and care she provided made me forget about the front desk staff. I would have no hesitation to go back next time I'm in need, in fact she may be one of my first choices from now on! Thank you!!!

At 9:07, we received a call that the caregiver called off. Said they were trying to find a replacement, but an hour and a half later, they still had no confirmed help for us. As we were going to drive to our destination and running out of time to leave we had to cancel our trip, lost the hotel fees, and wasted money for tickets to two shows. Disappointed does not even begin to describe how we feel right now.

Just my two cents…read more.... I had a very close family member stay at Balboa for 90 days earlier this year. Did she get 90 days sober yes and some good counseling yes, although the staff nor their website is entirely truthful. That alone is not OK with me, don't B.S. people. When you first call in you talk to intake counselor/sales person was very nice, although she leads you to believe she has a lot more interaction with the girls than she really does. I was under the impression she saw them every week, not so in my family member's case. Then there are the "counselors' - aka recovering addicts themselves. That alone is not a bad thing but they really need more time sober and serious training. The case manager my relative had was a joke, total complete control freak that treated the family as the enemy. They seem to forget this is very stressful for the family as well. They also tell you that there will be pilates, trips to the museum, and other activities to help them have fun in a normal life setting. What they don't tell you is that the reality is you fork over additional funds for their activities which don't usually end up happening instead they get a crappy bike cruiser. Not quite what they show on their website. I don't have a problem with this not being summer camp they are there to get sober not have "fun" my problem is that they should just be honest and not make it out to be something it is not. Expect your friend or family member to be hounded constantly about how they need to stay there and do sober living in that area. We all didn't ship our family members off for good, we sent them to get better. I don't know what there agenda is here but again some honesty upfront would have been appreciated. We were in a major time crunch and didn't have long to choose a facility, although I really would have liked some honest reviews ahead of time to know exactly what the deal was. If your relative is older than 25 you may consider choosing another program just for that reason alone, the older gals end up being the baby sitters for the young pups. Please do your homework before signing up your family member. Ask EVERY question you can imagine and get everything in writing.

One of the things that amazed me the most, in addition to all of the group therapy, individual therapy, AA meetings, is that they also do a lot of fun things, showing the clients how to have fun completely sober!!! Another part of the program that was extremely beneficial was the Family workshop, consisting of 3 very informative and intense days!! I highly recommend Balboa Horizons inpatient program to anyone in need!! Just an update: my loved one has over 1 yr clean and sober now and we owe a big part of it to Balboa, eternally grateful to them!!!!!

Arrived 20 mins early for the 10am event, but was left waiting in my car for the valet for 15 mins. Inside was packed like sardines with no seating left (since I was literally stuck waiting for someone to park my car). Nice array of b'fast refreshments, if you could make your way through. Raffle items were exceptional. If it wasn't over-booked, maybe chances might've been better for winning. Staff and guests were constantly squeezing in front of me which was exhausting. Speaking portion concluded at 12:10 with live demo's were after that. Since I arrived at 9:40 and stood there for aprox 2.5 hours, I bolted. I'm sure I'l leave a better review for actual services, the founder & her daughter seemed very nice and genuinely passionate.

After she evaluated my skin she applied a numbing cream and performed the service. It was actually really relaxing and didn't hurt at all. Afterwards she sent me home with products and instructions that I followed to a T! She called to check in with me a few times and her follow up was really caring and professional. It has only been 5 days and I can already tell that the skin on my face is firmer, the texture is so much better and it actually looks brighter! I don't know if that was supposed to be an expected result but I'm super happy! I will definitely have more treatments done. Pam said that I should do at least 3 treatments to see optimal results. This was an affordable service and I got a real bang for my buck! I will definitely rebook with Pam.
