I just attended the mattered of West Side Story. Excellent! What an amazing production…read more The theatre is located in Milburn, NJ. There are several parking lots and a nearby train station plus a public bus which make this playhouse accessible via a variety of transportation. (The nearest lots fill up fast, so plan your arrival time.) The parking fee is $12 if you use any of the theatre's lots. There was (as is expected) a long entry line. More staff is needed to move the line along more quickly. The elderly and those with mobility challenges were allowed to bypass the long line and gain immediate entry. The lobby sells snacks and drinks that can be purchased before the show or during intermission. There are ushers to help you find your seats and a very friendly young man helped me at the souvenir counter. The lighting and acoustics appeared modern in my limited opinion. The feel of the auditorium was that of the traditional theatre setting with the rich burgundy drapery and snug plush seats. There is an odd pitch to the floor which makes walking to orchestra seating a little awkward because of the slant. So keep this in mind if you are a little shaky on your feet. I have a delightful experience here and I hope to return for future productions.

Security- April 16, 2026 was an unusually hot sweltering day. Specifically, it was like 90°. There was an extremely long line entering the theatre. Understandably, everyone must go through security. There were a large number of elderly people. I think there needs to be a separate line for people who need assistance. A few of these people were let in ahead of some people, then it just stopped. MPAC (Morristown) has excellent security for people entering the theater. The Papermill should look at their protocol. The first half of "1776" was a little too drawn out and chaotic. Of course, it was politicians arguing. However, I think somehow more singing would've made it more enjoyable. All the actors did have the pipes for wonderful singing. Anyway, the second half of the show was much more enjoyable. The staging and costumes were great for that time period. I understand in July 2026, the Papermill Playhouse will be going under a full renovation. Looking forward to the upcoming season and new renovations.

The dining room is modern and decorated with trees and lighten that create a cozy eating atmosphere. The service was phenomenal. We were a group of 20 and our orders were taken quickly and served accurately. The food was very well prepared and presented elegantly. I especially enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. The French Toast bites were a delightful surprise. People seemed to enjoy shishito peppers, I'll take their word as I am not a fan of peppers. My Willow Burger was a taste sensation. It was pilled high with the topping of onion, avocado, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce and a tangy chipotle sauce. Yum. Worth the trip even if you are not attending the theatre.

I was with a party of six and at 11AM, we were all in a breakfast mood. We tried and all liked the Brioche French Toast, the Mushroom Thyme omelet and the Shakshuka. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with lemon curd and blueberries just didn't hang together. (Only four dishes for six people because two of us ordered the omelet and two the French toast). Overall the food was very good and the portions generous. Beverages were fine. The service was a bit spotty, possibly because we had two waiters who seemed to be tripping over each other. It shouldn't take three requests to get a glass of water. But overall, a place I'd try again.

From our very first conversation, Vic was easy to work with, offered helpful advice, and made the entire planning process simple and stress-free. Communication was clear, decisions were easy, and we felt completely supported throughout. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The appetizers were delicious and beautifully presented, dinner was excellent, and the desserts were fantastic -- and the warm chocolate chip cookies are a MUST. Our guests are still talking about them! The staff was friendly, professional, and personable all evening. Service felt attentive without ever being intrusive, and everything ran smoothly. The décor and atmosphere are upscale, modern, and fun, with a youthful energy that made the night feel festive and special. We are so grateful for such a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend Moonshine for any celebration.

It's such an incredible place - with an almost overwhelming amount of Magnatiles lol - to activate children's creativity and imagination. The Magnatiles are helpfully sorted by color and shape in wooden bins. Kids can complete builds and challenges, and collect tokens to trade in for prizes. There were some pretty impressive structures in progress there. In addition to the main Magnatiles room, there is also a separate playroom with different activity stations and play/exploration areas, suited to younger kids. The recommended age range is 4-12, but my under-3 toddler had a great time as we play with Magnatiles at home and he loves them. He also spent some time in the playroom with the wooden train tracks and checking out various things to do. The admission charge for adults is slightly cheaper than the child pricing. A couple of parents - way more skilled and inventive than I - were building some pretty grand castles and towers as they waited while their kids played. The space is bright and clean, and the staff are very nice. For parents who don't wish to be "in the trenches" with their kids, there is a small cafe area with chairs and tables where they can hang out.
