I think one of her greatest traits is that she really listens to you and is open minded about different types of movement, which makes for a great partner in all things movement/fitness related. I was referred to her by a friend when I had a hip injury and June was crucial to figuring out the movement pattern causing it and fixing it. I also often ask June to troubleshoot my form for other types of workouts and she is always happy to do so.

Loyalty means absolutely nothing to her. I will not miss the unsolicited, derogatory comments about the lives of other trainers and clients, nor will I miss her endless complaints about her boyfriend...now husband. I have witnessed a parade of trainers leave her current and past studios over the years. Perhaps they grew as tired of her passive-aggressive behavior as I did.

To begin, a physician colleague and friend of mine recommended Pilates exercises to help with my migraine headache symptoms, since traditional migraine medications had become ineffective for me. I called several local studios, but was immediately impressed by the prompt pleasant response from individuals at The Pilates Studio of Beverly Hills. They were friendly, and went the extra mile to accommodate my crazy schedule. I soon discovered that Pilates movements and exercises were much more difficult than I had expected. I was truly amazed however at how much better I felt after each session. In a short time my migraine symptoms improved significantly, allowing me to stop several expensive and dangerous medications. Also, I am now seeing many adverse effects from my being on my feet and doing surgery for many years being progressively relieved and reversed. Well, Amber is totally different and in the best way possible! Sure she will ask me how I am and we will chat a little but she won't let me stop what I'm doing, nope... I guess she doesn't care that I'm going to make salmon for dinner? ;) I've only been working out with her for about 2 weeks at this point (twice a week), and I can ALREADY FEEL & SEE a difference... Not only am I starting to see a bit more definition, but my confidence is heightening! One side effect that has really thrown me off guard though: MY CRAZY INTENSE APPETITE!!! While typically I can eat enough for a family of five, thanks to intense hour-long sessions with Amber, I now can eat enough for a family of 12 and even a little more for the family's pet dog! That being said, it's very important to fuel your hungry muscles with high quality sustenance, especially after such intense workouts. People might think Pilates is for "sissies" and is just another form of boring-ass yoga, but if you take Pilates with Amber, you'll be singing another tune... Amber was able to explain and demonstrate each of the movements, as well as help my inflexible, gigantic body perform exercises/movements that I would have never thought possible. I can see myself becoming stronger every week They have a diverse selection of classes. Each are about 50 minutes long. I started with 9 foundation classes before enrolling in the more advanced classes - which really helped me improve my form & learn the moves. There is no pressure to overexert yourself but more of a focus to acknowledge where you are & help you gain strength over time. Which as a semi slender couch potato with a previous car injury I truly appreciate this outlook. Overall, I've noticed my body has improved & so have my stress levels. About the studio itself: everything is new & well maintained. I appreciate the commitment to non toxic hand sani & cleaning products. The location is perfectly nestled in the Culver Art District & it is nice area to walk around after class. You barely hear the outside traffic (if there is any). It is a peaceful atmosphere. Parking is easy to find on the streets. There's a few bus stops not too far away as well.
