Ordered the fish & shrimp tacos. They we're made well and the flavor of the meat did not outshine the taco with all its fixings. Given this, the combination and play of flavors were very subtle which is far different than the Cali-Mex cuisine I'm used to. The hibiscus iced tea had perfect sweetness. For a place with such rave reviews, I expected the food to really impress. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. I got the fish tacos and my first impression was the very skimpy amount of pineapple salsa they gave me. The lime wedge they included is a must to bring out the flavor of the tacos. I've definitely had better fish tacos. These were average at best. My husband got the Mexican street corn, which he said was good. He also got the carnitas tacos and while the meat was good, the taco left something to be desired. Just the meat, cabbage and some salsa was not very exciting. Definitely not the best food on the Spit, but I'll probably give it another try next year. If you're only here in Homer for a day, I'd recommend trying something else instead. Note: there is just one table next to the trailer, but there are plenty of picnic tables overlooking the marina to sit at. read more

What a great find on the Homer Spit. This food wagon is loaded with great selection of tacos, stews, soups, and other daily specials. We have had the Carnitias, El Pastor, Fish Tacos, and Hibiscus tea on two separate occasion and walked away with complete satisfaction of what we just ate. They have daily specials and also use locally sourced vegetables and food. Their concept is FRESH, HEALTHY, and VERY Tasty food. The taco orders have two large tacos loaded with lettuces, and other yummies. The only weak spot is the pricing ($10+) and the wait time. Regardless of these weak spots, we have managed to come back and plan on a few more trips here! read more

Stopped by after a boating tour for some fish tacos. Ended up getting the Yaki-Noodles which were amazing! They asked spice level and we said spicy so these really had a kick to them but the sauce was so good. Fish tacos were good too. Really liked the char on then and the pineapple salsa was yummy. Also had a hibiscus iced tea which really helped cut the spice on the noodles. Would highly recommend this place to anyone on the Homer Spit! read more

After a long morning of running around bird watching, I had a huge craving for tacos. The Tickled Pear delivered in spades. I had one each of the fish and chicken mole tacos and they were amazing. Fresh, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with love. They also have a lovely patio where you can watch the float planes come and go at Beluga Lake. Don't miss this one! read more

I really want to give this place 2.5 stars. It's a very clean and fresh space that is located on the water and well decorated. Service was lovely. Food was mediocre. We had the fish tacos and they were without flavor. We had much better tacos at Swell Taco on the spit. read more

These gals catered our family vacation for 10 days for 26 people & did an exemplary job. They were especially good at managing our different dietary restrictions & the food was exceptional. We stopped here for lunch and got the fish tacos and the street corn. The street corn is SO GOOD!! Must try!

Never had anything bad from here. Birria tacos were excellent along with the Yakisoba. The carne asada tacos are also amazing.
