    Baja wings

Stopped here for dinner with my fiancé. We did have to wait for a table but not long. They had a long list of wings so I went with the Baja Wings with a side of ranch. They were plump and juicy but I found the breading mix to be a bit spicy. The ladies next to us had ordered the spinach dip which looked delicious. The menu has a big variety of options and I'd love to try a burger or burrito on our next visit.

First night in Homer and the Alibi was recommended by folks at the Salty Dawg... they we're right. Nice place, staff was great and he suggested the special.. I'm not usually a salmon fan, but these tacos were absolutely delicious! Some type of habanero marinade.. Definitely brought some heat, but still very tasty. I'd come back again!

    Halibut burrito Asian wings

Two words: halibut burrito. DUDE. That was so good. The burrito was a perfect portion, perfectly wrapped and all of the ingredients inside tasted fresh, amazing halibut as well! Would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting town looking to have a different spin on a halibut dinner. Be sure to ask for their house made hot sauce as well, it's seriously good. Overall, The Alibi provides great food, great service, and great drinks in a nice little space. Loved it!

Great local spot- a local recommended this as their favorite regular bar, so it was a must. Finding something to eat after 8:30 pm is difficult enough in Homer so knowing the Alibi is open later on Friday and Saturday nights with live music is awesome. It's definitely a neighborhood feel. Everyone knows everyone else and knows who the tourists are. Halibut cakes were the special and we asked about it, the bartender replied, "if there is a special up there you should order it." So we did. I was there for the peanut butter and jelly chicken wings! Period. The wings were crisp and tossed with just the right amount of sweetness. House made peanut butter and locally sourced jelly is spot on!! Local beer on tap just adds the niche of this neighborhood favorite. If you don't know or have a question every person there will have an opinion.

Hands-down the best food we've had in Alaska; and maybe the best street tacos ever!…read more We have been living in Alaska for a couple of years now, and Swell Taco in Homer is officially our favorite spot. The location is beautiful, featuring a very cute outdoor setup right on the ocean with amazing views. Even though they were busy with a long line, the service was outstanding, kind, warm, and engaging. They were incredibly thorough, and our order came out exactly right. I also noticed that everything coming out to other tables looked consistently spot-on, with everyone around us loving their food. As someone who eats gluten-free, the fact that 80% of their menu is GF was phenomenal, and it actually tastes incredible! Their corn tortillas are genuinely the best I have had anywhere. Their flavor combinations are extremely well thought out and expertly executed. We tried the fried rockfish, the halibut cheek, and the Carne Asada. The fish-based tacos were lovely, as the texture was perfect. The flavor profile on the Carne Asada was actually my favorite of the three, but the meat itself was just a little too tough for my full appreciation. Still, the seasonings on all three tacos were absolute perfection. Do not skip the coconut limeade! It was such a treat: perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and very well done. Swell Taco is a must-visit in Homer. We will be dreaming about these tacos until our next trip!

The Bulgagi was unique and put a Korean spin on a taco but was a little heavy on the sauce. The fish taco was out of this world good. The best fish taco I've ever eaten. We got some noodles just to try another dish but they weren't that impressive-- why get noodles when you can have le burg or fish taco?? We were just visiting but my family lives in Homer and visits Le burg regularly. They said hours can be difficult and they're not always open. There are also only two picnic tables between Le truck and a BBQ truck that they seem to share so not a lot of seating but it's a food truck-- what do you expect. If you're in homer and looking for a lunch spot make sure to check out Le truck. Update: two years later we spent three days trying to go back but they were never open! Finally they opened for lunch at 1:40 right before the farmer's market opened on Wednesday. It seems like they are only open when farmer's market is open. That's very frustrating. Food was still good but losing points/stars for bad hours and never being open!!
