Wow this place is legit!! I know good Mexican. We lived in California for 3 years and the have great Mexican food. This place baffles me how good their Mexican food is. It's authentic and fairly priced. Their BURGERS are also amazing. Fresh made patties daily and they are big burgers in a big bun with tons of fries and all the fixings. Be carefully with the jalapeño burger because it's literally covered in freshly sliced jalapeño that puts even the best fire mouth to shame. Do yourself a favor and eat here. A lot of food! Not very visually appealing. Tasted ok. Car service was friendly. Not sure it was worth the money.

We were driving through and saw the rave reviews. We must say it was extremely average, or worse. For example, the mushroom burger cheese was not real cheese, but some sort of paste or squeeze on. The bottom buns melted from the grease of the meat (as you hold it it disintegrates). The entire meat burger was hot as if they microwaved the entire sandwich, including lettuce and tomato, before sending it out. They apparently forgot to salt the fries, as they were so bland. Maybe that's their style lol. I suppose the people raving about the burgers don't get out much or the lack of competition drives the business. We're just not into warm lettuce and tomato on a burger. Best. Tacos hands down on whole peninsula. Worth the drive. Never been sick, never been disappointed. Hamburgers are the Bomb. After years of driving past this little red bus, I finally gave it a try after my brother told me that he has been eating there every day since he moved to AP. I wish I would have tried it a long time ago! Oh my goodness, it is SO good! I love the shredded beef Chimichanga, my brother opts for the pork. Fried mushrooms are amazing! I've been working here in Anchor Point for a few months now and I eat here at least 2 times a month. They honestly have the best mushroom swiss burger on the Kenai peninsula. Fresh handmade 1/2lb. patty and all the fixings. Their other food is also great. Good tacos and burritos. If you've never stopped in you'll be glad you did. Nice people and delicious food. Easily the best food on the Kenai Peninsula, and IMO, the entire state. We eat here at least once a month, for many years. It's always excellent, fresh, great portion, great prices, great people and service. I do not eat tacos in any other restaurant in Alaska. The best burgers! The best Cordon Blue! The best Reubens! The Chicken Bacon Burrito is phenomenal! The Nachos are enough for two, and the jalapenos are freshly sliced, not from a jar! I can't say enough about the excellence here. Everything, every time! Excellent Mexican food! We love Ramiro's. One of the few places in Alaska to get shredded beef! Mom and dad get shredded beef and shredded chicken burritos, and the kids can get kid's burger meals. Homemade salsa and sour cream is included. Very reasonable rates, excellent food, and friendly staff. It's to go, or eat in your car, but well worth it! We drive from Sterling to get their food. This roadside attraction is a shockingly fantastic looking place with a restaurant built around an old school bus (Not to be mistaken for the blue bus dinner no comparison). However don't be offset by this because this place is better than impressive. I am a snob when it comes to food and service and this place is the bee's knees. Let's start with the service, first you walk up to a drive thru type window to place your order and when it opens there is the smiling face of the owner who is always super nice and has a wonderful attitude. This small town restaurant is a huge hit with a lot of my friends and family and after eating there I know why. The owner who's name I will be memorizing soon as I plan to become a regular knows her local patrons quite well, she can recognize one of my friends simply by hearing his voice when he calls to place a order (Yes Billy I know what you want). This to me is what makes a great restaurant great, personalizing your regulars experiences is part of what keeps them coming back for more the other part is the food and now on to the food, this place has a verity of menu items not all I've had the opportunity to try "yet" but I have one secret love, it's the perfect ruben sandwich and the perfect ruben is no easy task, just the proper toasting of the bread is crucial to correctly pulling off the ruben there are many more steps involved but let's just say she knows them all. I'm a trucker and dining out is a way of life on the road so I consider myself to be a expert. I had only had a perfect ruben 2 times in the almost 16 years I've spent trucking, but yesterday I had my 3rd. Wow how can a restaurant who seems to primarily specialize in Mexican food make a perfect ruben you must be thinking? Well when you only allow for perfection, perfection is what happens (standing ovation to the nice smiling lady in the window). The food is worth every penny (which isn't many because prices vs. portions are right on target at this place, hungry trucker approved!) I wish they had a sit down dining area as I believe it would be packed all day. Coffee and breakfast at Ramaro's this would surely be the social capital of the Kenai Peninsula, that sounds great to me! Bravo nice smiling lady in the window you have impressed yet another person in what I'm sure is your ever expanding list of happy, full, and satisfied hungry truckers and regular Joes and Janes as well. So if your driving thru Anchor Point Alaska and you don't stop to try some food from this wonderful place that is your loss. But I promise if you do you'll stop every time you come thru.
