As others have noted in their reviews, Ken and Jeff are constantly working to keep up this lovely family resort. It is clean and landscaped beautifully, and the rooms are just right! With a sitting area in our two bedroom, we enjoyed the recliner and couch as we watched movies in the evening. In our full kitchen, we stocked the refrigerator from the local Publix and made our breakfast and lunch, which we packed for the beach. Many guests chose to grill out as we saw when we would load up to go to a local restaurant for dinner, but we preferred eating out! On our first night at Hurricane Hanks restaurant down the road, we met up with a resident who offered us more ideas for restaurants for dinner. There's nothing like walking right out onto the beach to spend a morning watching the waves, seeing dolphins frolic, observing osprey catching their breakfast, and swimming in the water among schools of fish. Many of the guests knew each other from yearly vacations, and we have already made our reservation for next year! Anna Maria Island is quiet and family friendly. White Sands Resort offers shuffleboard and corn hole right next to the pool, but the best show is the sunset. The beach was beautiful, with calm, warm water and soft, powdery sand. Even when the resort became very busy over Labor Day weekend, it still maintained a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere. The staff was truly the highlight of our experience. A huge thank you to Braxton, Albin, Joel, Dragen, Izzy, Alyssa, Elaine, Josh, Katie, Eddie, Briana, Shannon, Jessica, Eden, Hailey, Rafael, Robert, and Garrett for being so friendly, helpful, and attentive. They genuinely made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Dining & Spa: We enjoyed the service at Tate's and Caretta, especially Eddie, Briana, and Katie. We also loved exploring local restaurants, with Clear Sky Café, Cesare at the Beach, and Columbia being some of our favorites. Robert at Cesare and Columbia was especially fantastic. The spa was another highlight, particularly the prenatal massage experience with Shannon and the couples massages we enjoyed with Jessica. The staff was wonderful and the spa was relaxing and intimate. There were, however, some disappointing aspects. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and there were several issues with the room, including the refrigerator placement, small safe, and shower door. We also felt the beach umbrellas should be included rather than an additional charge. Our biggest frustration was with the front desk and check-out process, particularly how some of our concerns and billing issues were initially handled. It took far too long to get everything sorted out, which was frustrating, especially at the end of an otherwise enjoyable stay. That said, I spoke directly with the General Manager about our experience, and I really appreciated how quickly he responded to my complaint and stepped in to help address the overall issue. His willingness to listen and make things right made a significant difference. Despite the areas that need improvement, we truly enjoyed our stay and are grateful we chose Sandpearl for such a special milestone. The resort has a beautiful setting and an incredible number of genuinely wonderful employees. With some improvements to housekeeping, front-desk communication, and overall service recovery, I believe Sandpearl has everything it needs to be an exceptional resort. This is probably the best hotel I have stayed at in Clearwater Beach so far and it would be very hard to go anywhere else.

At one point, we were told their system had been hacked and that we should not accept emails from them for a period of time. Then, shortly before our trip, we received what they described as an "app," which appeared incomplete and contained little to no useful information. Taken together, the communication issues raised concerns early on. The day before our cross-country flight, we received a call from Charles, who identified himself as the head sales manager and said he was "the boss" when asked about a supervisor. He informed us that the Pelican House was no longer available due to a reported bedbug issue. Regardless of the reason, the timing left us with virtually no ability to make alternative plans. The replacement options offered were, in our view, not comparable. We specifically chose this property for a quiet, intimate beachfront experience with access to amenities like kayaks, canoes, and bikes. The suggested alternatives were larger, more traditional resort-style properties without the same privacy, beach access, or features we had planned around. While these were described as "nicer," the focus was on things like interior finishes rather than the experience we had intentionally booked. What made this especially difficult is that just the day before, we had conversations with staff where we shared that this trip was for our 20th anniversary during a period of repeated family tragedies. At that time, the tone was empathetic and understanding. However, once the cancellation was communicated, that empathy disappeared. The interaction shifted to a rigid, take-it-or-leave-it approach with no meaningful acknowledgment of the impact. We were given two options: accept a replacement that did not meet our needs or take a refund at the last minute--leaving us with non-refundable flights, a car rental, and no place to stay. There was no effort to provide a comparable solution or to help mitigate the disruption. After the call, I attempted to reach Charles again, but did not receive a return call. My wife later received an automated refund email. When I contacted Susan, the house manager, to confirm what had happened, the response was brief and, in our view, lacked empathy--stating only that they "couldn't risk it" because of bedbugs. From our perspective, this experience was deeply disruptive and disappointing. It left us with significant unexpected costs, no accommodations, and a milestone anniversary trip that had been planned for months effectively undone at the last minute.

Beachside they have lots of shared toys, chairs, Paddleboards and shell/shark tooth hunting scoops. Be sure to bring water shoes, diving masks & snorkels as the hurricane has uncovered lots of large rocks and debris making it more of a beach entry reef dive than a swimming beach. The abundance of fish varieties is astounding! Small children & seniors, due to a steep drop off and rocks, may find the pool more enjoyable which also comes with many toys available. Location, location, location and a love for historic Florida experiences drives the price. But the first shark tooth you find walking along the beach, as you marvel at the colors of sunset, you'll feel all that tension leave your body and understand why people keep coming back time after time to Manasota Beach Club. Hoping that is just a not quite finished with the remodeling oversight. The breakfast and dinner buffets were awesome. Missed the sweet potato honey cinnamon bake but were told that is a holiday item on the buffet. And the last time we did the buffet was Christmas Day. The stuffed flounder, prime rib, peel and eat shrimp and the flatbreads were delicious!

My only gripes are that there's no pool towel swapping, you have to wash your own in the guest laundry room, and the bathroom being way too small. I heard there are talks of potential remodeling and think bathroom size should definitely be an area of discussion.

The checkin desk is open until 6pm, and the person there was very friendly and gave useful area information when we arrived. The hotel requires a 25yo guest to check-in, helping to ensure this is a quiet and clean place. Inside the room there is coffee, coffee maker, fridge, kitchenette, flat screen TV with lots of free channels, free Wifi. The main bed is queen, and there is a sofa bed that is good for children. (Heavier person won't enjoy sleeping in the sofa bed.)
