What a wonderful location to stay for a beach getaway. The rooms are spacious and clean. You have drawers, night tables and a closet for storage. The rooms come with beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels. The bathroom is large and the water pressure was great. Housekeeping is scheduled if you want it and you can make the arrangements. If you want to change your towel there are designated times to set out your towels or you can also switch them at the office. There is a nicely sized fridge and microwave available in the room for use. You can grab water bottles from the office if you get thirsty. We did not need a golf cart but the office is able to support you in getting a golf cart and they pull carts for you to borrow to take the beach. You are able to borrow bikes as well during the designated hours. The beach entrance is right across the street and on the other side of the street you walk right into Siesta Village. The trip was a treat and I am looking forward to returning. read more

Booked this through expedia and they don't tell you where your room will be so ask before it's booked. Well we requested a change because being near their bar and lounge with the music is not an ideal place to stay if you're looking to sleep in and relax. They were good in switching our room but not until the next day. The room they switched us to was closer to the pool which was a better location but the room was definitely smaller and not remodeled like the other room we had. The room didn't have enough light for their main light wasn't working, the bathroom door needs to be replaced, and the bed was not comfortable. But it is what it is, we weren't going to let it ruin our good time. And don't plan to sleep in because you hear everything and everyone, even with eat plugs. From upstairs and next door neighbors to the cleaning the lawn it was noisy. Also not sure what is going on with the plumbing but the water had a foul smell to it. Like pond or lake water, but I know Hurricane Ian messed up a lot of places in Siesta Key, so not sure if it's related. Even the beach had a smell to it. We went to Lido Beach the next day and that one was a better beach over all. The pool was nice, but the hot tub wasn't heating properly and wasn't working well. read more

It was different. We stayed in room 122 . Room was clean and remodeled. Bed was comfortable. Beach chairs are also provided. They provide you with a space heater for the room since when were there it was cold at night. Also room has a a/c unit in window and a dehumidifie. There are only glasses and coffee mugs in room, no plates, bowls or silverware in the kitchen area. The most important thing to room 122 is the gate to the pool area is right there and every time that gate is slammed closed the noise and the rattling is like a garbage truck in your room picking up the garbage. So beware of this room for noise. Will we return, no we won't but it was worth a visit. read more

The check balance was not accurate, as my bank statement reflected I was cheated. The manager was supposed to call me 5 days ago, but didn't. There was a constant flow of water across my sidewalk, that went under my car on their property. It smelled like urine, and feces, yet their employees walked through this sewage for 3 days. This is a Health Code Violation. The rooms are a dive. This is not a resort, just an inviting name to get your attention. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE. I bet they will somehow hide my review. I can't say enough about this resort. My daughters and I stayed for a week and there was absolutely nothing we needed. The room was very clean, they provided beach chairs, carts, free water, free laundry, etc. The pool was very relaxing. Right across the street is the gorgeous beach. The Village is around the corner with an abundance of restaurants and shopping. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The tiki bar offers drinks and live entertainment daily. This resort is very poorly managed. They mixed up our room reservation but had nothing available for us to switch so we had to stay put. Housekeeping services were non-existent. Practically had to beg for clean towels, additional soap products and coffee. Room was never cleaned our entire 5-day stay and baskets were full particularly with food. There is very very limited parking on site because people park there to go to beach. Our first day, we drove around for 30 minutes trying to find a spot. So you walk to everything and we happened to be there the end of July with temps in the mid-90's and heat indexes well over 100. We were locked out of our room on our last night and waited 30 minutes in that heat for Maintenance to reset the keypad because the office's phone went to voicemail. Finally had to walk over. The only positive is the grounds are well maintained, including the pool. read more

DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 118!!!!!!!!!!!! The smell in here is so fucking nasty. We have sprayed all types of sprays and this room is just nasty as fuck. We complained to the office but they are at full capacity!!! The faux tile they put down are like stickers my grandfather came in and tripped over a few of them. And let me not start on the A/C. We have it at 68 and the temp in the room is 75 and won't go below that!!! The room itself is hot but you go where the bathroom is and it's like walking into a freezer. It feels amazing over there. The bunk bed is a nice touch but they way they built it in smh!!!! Now my aunt which is 5 doors down her room is sooooo nice and clean, no smell, no faulty tiles, just nice. The resort itself is really nice. The pool is amazing and perfect for kids and adults. Day 2: Saturday morning the smell came back and Lee helped out had them come and refresh the room or whatever. We left to the beach came back and smell was ok. We left again for dinner came back like 3 hours later and now I'm currently sitting outside my room because the smell is so unbearable. Honestly all I want to do is throw up. Now come to find out room 119 is having a little of the same issue just not as nasty as our room. I've been sitting outside for about 30 minutes now and still nothing. I'm honestly over this shit. I'm so pissed off at this place. And of course they can't switch us rooms because they are full to capacity. Small and crazy fucking update. They put this air purifier in our room Friday around 9pm and now Saturday 9:45pm we actually take a look at the machine and we realize it says you shouldn't have in the room when it's occupied so we look it up and read the dangers of this shit and it says that no living organism should be around while this machine is on. We slept in this room with our kids and I'm 4 months pregnant. This is fucking stupid and ridiculous. read more

Broken towel rack in the bathroom. Broken cabinet door under sink in bathroom.. broken floor in cabinet in bathroom. Little flying moths coming in somehow daily. We did complain but they didn't have another room. They do not freshen your room daily not every other day either. I had to put out my trash. They do replace towels only if you put them in a basket outside your room & believe me, you needed new towels daily because they didn't dry. Our review is one star... We will never return read more

I liked the convenient location of this hotel. It was clean, and had cool amenities like free bikes and the pool/jacuzzi. They also had a tiki bar! My only complaint was the water, it never got warm enough no matter how long the faucet was turned all the way on hot which made showers kinda bothersome. The room had so many bugs running through it. The blinds were not blinds - me being by the pool you can see everything into the room I checked. The other rooms had wooden blinds that worked. The workers in the morning at 8 am were so loud drilling or blowing every day right by my door. I never got to actually rest.The family over the weekend was so loud and has glass liquor bottles in the pool. They pulled out a giant speaker made for a club and turned it up all the way. I cut my foot on glass was the best part about that day. They took over the pool and it was miserable to try and enjoy or relax. The pool was so cloudy and gross after that. The staff didn't do anything to stop the family. Get the pool cleaned up. The family went right back to the party after they left. This was a family of over 30 people plus kids in a small pool. NONE of them had wrist bands on. I stay here a lot and it is always hit or miss. This was probably the worst. The room was just dirty and disgusting that was extremely disappointing since we paid more thinking we get a better space. We got shoved in a corner. This was not as advertised. It was dirty, grimy, the windows didn't close all the way and the outlets were fire hazards. Although the location was good I would never recommend this place to anyone. We found rat poop and ACTUAL RATS LIVING IN THE CABINETS. We were mortified. We didn't leave because we found them the last night we were there and left at 4 am to head to the airport anyway. I heard from the locals that they have been renovating this Resort. We were first given a room by the Office. I wasn't impressed with this room. After seeing the pool area, we asked for a suite by the pool. We were staying 3 nights and were told we would have to stay 4 nights+ to rent a suite, not sure why. We opt to pay the extra day, even though we only stayed 3 nights. We had 103B. It seems the rooms were freshly painted. When first entering it's a bit blah. All cream walls, white couch, white bedding. Nothing on the walls. The only color came from the red microwave and coffee maker. I'm assuming they are still renovating. The bed was comfortable and a king! The TVs are large screen! The con is the bathroom. Though very large, It came with a spa tub (which does not work). You have to climb into the spa tub to use the shower. There is no shower curtain and the water does get the floor wet. Very dangerous. We used most of our towels just to line the tile floor. The hairdryer did not work, and the toilet paper was on the sink (holder was broken). The rooms were very clean. We had the air handler right in the hallway by the bedroom door. The a/c is extremely cold but LOUD. We could not turn off the A/C by the thermostat. We would not want this room again. This resort does not give housecleaning services. No one will come make up your bed or sweep the sand from the tile floors. I've never been to a resort that did not provide this. They do tell you to put your towels in a basket that's in the room and put the basket outside. New towels will be provided. With the resort fees and taxes we paid $150.00 per night and housecleaning services should be provided. I wish they would rethink this. I have friends already asking where we stayed and I know the tub and no housecleaning services will be a problem. I'm praying they are still renovating because this place is totally worth it, once the few issues are worked out. read more

There's an opportunity to provide customer service training to the staff. The switch over to new water heaters, left us with two separate cold showers. Even after running the shower for 10 minutes prior to getting in, which was suggested by the staff. And a 10 minute visit by maintenance. The temperature of the water never changed from icy cold. That being said, no one asked if we wanted to change rooms, comp part of a bill, or request if there was anything else we needed. The staff didn't seem to want to assist and didn't go out of the way to make our stay welcome- case in point no iron in our room, no one answering the office phone, and a walk down to the office to carry an ironing board up to our room. The other gripe is the $39/day resort fee. That seems unreasonable with the amenities that were available (we didn't use the bikes, cooler or pool). Even large hotels like MGM Grand in Vegas have a resort fee, but it is $18/day versus the $39/day. Also, maybe a sound machine in the room would be a nice touch as the location of the room we had was across from live music playing until midnight. read more

Keurig coffee pot nice touch but no cups to put coffee in. Bathroom door doesn't close which doesn't bother me but my gal's not happy about it. Great place for friends and family..That place was at Fever Pitch. The employees with the Great peoples made it happen..I'm coming back.

We came across a great deal on Orbitz.com for 3 king rooms for $70 each, and that was a steal for being so close to the beach. We wanted something last minute and this was ideal for our group. Everyone got their own rooms and they were all fairly clean and decent for the price. One of the rooms had a problem with the air conditioning - Room 215...somehow that room would not get cold at all. If you get this room, try to change it if you can. Wi-fi was decent at times, make sure to call the front lobby for the code before you can connect. You might find the connection not strong in the rooms, so you might be reconnecting a couple times while surfing the web. Our room had a lighting problem, we couldn't use it...the light fixture was broken or something. There are lots of good channels to watch tv, but you should be at the beach not watching tv right? The greatest part of this hotel was the proximity to the beach, and we were able to check in prior to 3pm. The front desk receptionist was sweet enough to direct us to the beach. There is also so-so coffee and free pastries available in the front lobby and plenty of free maps to everything cutesy and touristy in the area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, got plenty of sun, and will be back for another visit whenever we are in town. Perfect getaway location for beachgoers. read more

We enjoyed our January vacation here very much! We have been coming to Siesta Key since we were both kids (1970s). He stayed at Palm Bay. I stayed at The Anchorage. For spring break or summer, I prefer Crescent Beach accommodations (beach front). The walk to the beach from SBR is not far. But to get to the water is another good walk (in sand). Little kids or elderly might have a tough time. You must bring your own beach chairs. However, if you love pool life, night life and being able to walk to the restaurants, clubs and grocery, this place is awesome!!! The resort is old school beauty! It's clean and has awesome beds. We will come back. For the price, this place is great. Don't expect the Hyatt for what you pay. I posted a map of the complex. I didn't see it on their website, so this is helpful in choosing a room. We were in #126, in my opinion, the best room location. Large patio area right by your door and just steps to the pool. Only negative is management needs more security. Everyday there were non-guests coming in to use the pool, teenagers during the day and loud partiers at night. One night they climbed the fence and kept us up. I give this place 3 stars based on our room, room location, closeness to the village,cleanliness and the pretty landscaping. For the price, it was a great value. But like I said, don't expect the Hyatt for this price. If management would check on pool patrons better, I would give them 4 stars! read more

I strongly do not recommend this hotel to families. Pros: great location, spacious room. I'd like to start with the positive. Cons: You're on your own at night, completely unstaffed. Stayed for a Monday night and this is a party hotel, apparently. A group of other guests were throwing a party at the pool until 4am, yelling, shrieking, blasting music, and smoking pot (I don't mind the last part personally, but if you do, maybe skip this hotel). They had trouble finding their room and tried more than a few wrong doors at 4am. When I called the hotel number at 1am I got a polite response from someone elsewhere, and when I was supposed to be transferred to property management it just hung up. So I just had hours of lying awake that I paid for. One of the main reasons to choose a hotel over Airbnb is that you should have staff you can trust so you can get a decent night of sleep. I also have no idea what this hotel's liability looks like when there's absolutely trashed people drinking in the pool until dawn with no hotel oversight. When they drown, do you get sued? Like I said, great location and I would like to call out that the day staff were great--friendly and helpful. When it came to being able to sleep, this hotel did fail on the primary purpose of a hotel, though. read more

I will start with the positives, the location was GREAT for both the beach and shops/restaurants. And the amenities were also awesome beach Wagon and chairs for use in each room. For reference beach umbrella was not provided. The room was big and as described and the staff was friendly however duct tape on the vinyl floor planks that were buckling as well as duct tape on a small hole on the ceiling. And the second AC unit had a visibly gap in between the drywall and unit letting inside light in. When checking our room before check out a tube of lotion from previous guest was found near nightstand so clearly the room was not cleaned thoroughly. read more

OK.....so there are Villas.....and there are hotels.......I give 5 stars to villas sometimes and I give 5 stars to SKBR.....mostly because of the great staff....seriously, staff can be nice and thats great, but these staff members were kind, funny, happy, helpful and went out of their way. Mario, Walter, and Lee....made our stay great and we're thankful! The location is perfect, the rooms were clean and generous in size. We had 3 rooms, one with a little kitchen and eating area, the second a room with two beds and little fridge, and the third a living room area, with pull out couch and little fridge. There were 6 adults and 4 children. We were able to serve ourselves cereal, toast and fruit for breakfast and made sandwiches for our beach time....location is perfect for wonderful restaurants for dinner. The walk to the beach is easy and made easier still with the wagons SKBR provides for guests. In the room are two beach chairs and a shoulder cooler to use! NICE! The pool area is great! Water is clean, great 3ft shallow are for kids to play safely....water spouts for extra fun and lots of shaded area. Parking was plentiful (parking pass clearly displayed). But we can stay anywhere....we're blessed.....but we will choose to stay here again when family comes to visit and we want to beach it a few days in a row....because of the staff! The only negative (and it's a little one)....actually a suggestion...is the bathroom tub is not great...it's a spa tub (very clean but still in general spa tubs have too many areas that are hard to clean and yucky).....there are scratches and hard use visual wear and tear areas that should be resurfaced at the least....but a new shower tub area would make a better choice. read more

I have no idea how they can name this place a resort. It was filthy and extremely outdated and falling apart. The shower had mold, the carpet and tile were filthy, there was a huge crease in the carpet that not only looked horrible but is also a trip hazard, the walls had a different shade of paint blotched where they apparently attempted to do touch up, the doors didn't look like they have been painted and thirty years or clean for that matter, there were tiny ants everywhere and some strange flying bugs in the bathroom every day that we had to kill and we have no idea where they were coming from, the curtains and sheets had stains, the furniture is extremely old and scratched and chipped it looks like came from a dump. Do yourselves a favor and pass this place right by. The owners and manager of this place should be ashamed. read more

I am fortunate to have a Florida-dwelling gal pal that has the foresight to think, "I sure would like to stay at the beach all weekend and not have to worry about driving home. I think I'll get a hotel for me and my gals." This was the situation this past weekend.* Not a fancy hotel by any means, the rooms are old, there are some tiles missing on the bathroom floor, and it smells of the beach. But hey, that can be a good thing when you are looking for cheap and near the beach for the night. Pretty clean, where you can get rooms with kitchenettes for cheap (gotta stash that leftover beer somewhere to keep it cold for the next day) and shower up before heading out for the evening. The most critical attribute: Across the street from the beach. Score. *On a situation-related note, we did bring along our own Mike "the situation" whateverhislastnamewas from the Jersey Shore and throw a few fist pumps into the air as we got ready. When we arrived, we discovered that the property was under construction. Our first room had been partially renovated but not all was complete - no towel rack, phone/clock, lamp. We also discovered we had no connection to hot water and had to take ice colder showers night one. The sink also didn't drain. The next morning, we were moved to another room. There was zero resort feel due to the foot traffic and power tool noise/equipment. This is unacceptable for a room with 1 bed, with no ocean view - for over $300/night.
