The Trooper warehouse has a huge selection, with many beautiful things. Dave came out to measure and make the template and did an excellent job. He came out early and got things done so they could start on things. Henry was the project manager, and he was very quick and responsive when it was time to move on the project. I found the slab I fell in love with in March, put down a deposit, and they held it for me without a storage fee until December. Henry spent quite a bit of time with me in rearranging the template, found another stone that matched what I had, as we needed another piece to finish everything, and was very patient with my inexperience in knowing anything about picking out edges of counters. (Who knew what pencil edge was?!) The Georgia crew delivered things a week later. The 3 guys that installed things were excellent. They were very careful, and it was quite interesting to watch the process. They did no damage to anything in the house, installed the granite very carefully, and also installed my sink. I would highly recommend them. They knew this stone was very special and treated it as such.

First off, the people at the Tile Gallerie were friendly when we went to the shop. They had a…read morefairly good selection of tile to look at, but seemed a bit apprehensive to show products (in books) that they didn't have in stock. My wife and I ordered some tile for our powder room and the price for the tile was reasonable. However, the price for the demo and install was completely inflated. We have a small powder room (5' x 5'), and I prepared it by removing the toilet, sink, vanity, and all other objects, which greatly simplified the demo. For the install, we only wanted them to put in the time and grout. No caulking, no toilet reinstall, no vanity, no trim work. In short, it was a simple demo and install job. The problem came when I saw the invoice and realized they charged us for four hours of work for the demo, when they only spent two hours working. They also charged us for "trash removal" when all they did was dump it into our own garbage bin. For the install, it was a simple, one person project, yet they charged us their full rate for a much larger, more complicated install. I've written to them to complain about these price overages. My hope is that this was just an honest mistake and there billing was not adjusted accordingly. For now, however, I would still recommend you shop at Tile Gallerie, but I strongly recommend you do not use them for demo or install.

My GC originally hired Tile Studio for a rebuild of our kitchen after a flood. I chose a large…read moretravertine and was initially happy with the floor. A year later, I started seeing cracking in the tiles and grout. I called, no response. I continued to call for over a year, and finally, they responded. They came out and looked and said they would repair tile and grout under warranty. They fixed the tile, but not the grout. The grout they did put in around the new tiles was a much lighter color, but they assured me that it was only because it was new, and it would age to the proper color. I later found out they had based the replacement grout on the receptionist remembering that I had wanted a floor from the studio display. While I had chosen the tile from the display, I had not chosen the same grout, as it was far too light for a kitchen floor. A couple of years later, grout still cracked, more tiles cracked. I had them come out again, and they said they would replace them and fix the grout. There was no mention of a charge, nor was an estimate given, oral or written. They came out and Frank repaired the tiles. He was careful and talented, and the only reason I would give any stars. He had me help choose the grout, and the new grout around the new tiles is almost perfect. Then came the bill. I was told that since the cracking was due to joist movement, it wasn't their problem, so they had to charge me. $2600. For about 12 tiles. I understand if there is a problem and a company needs to charge for repairs. But, the proper procedure is to give an estimate. If I had been given an estimate, I would have fully understood that I was not under any warranty. I would have then been free to hire someone else for the repairs. TL/DR: Shoddy work + over a year of waiting for a reply + wrong color grout + bill when none discussed + no communication = unhappy customer And, the grout is still the wrong color.

He was able to get us on his calendar in a great time frame for the two day project and assisted us with choosing the best color grout. Him and his assistant were very careful to put down protective mats/cloths to keep our house clean during the project, including our garage where the tile was cut. When the job was completed, there was no extra clean up work for us to do. We are VERY happy with the work Mike did. The tiling is well done, grout turned out great and it really makes a statement in our kitchen. We look forward to using Rossi Tile in the future again, and definitely recommend.

If you don't find just what you are looking for in Phila, MSI also has a (I assume larger) facility in Edison NJ. MSI is the supplier of stone for many of the stone fabricators in and around Philadelphia, so you might as well go here first for the best selection. You can use their web page to look through actual photos of most of the slabs they have in stock, and the photos are clearer than most of the similar photo websites that other stone providers have. I am an actual customer, who has visited 5 other large stone suppliers, and this place is the best I've found.

We have to agree. I went to other places that did not have the selection MSI has. Not only that, but the sales people were warm and friendly and very helpful and informative. The only thing they couldn't do was give us a quote for the price of the stone slabs we liked, so we could tell if we were within our budget or not. Your fabricator is the one who gives you the price for the slabs. Our customer service representative at MSI made sure she/they got our fabricator the information they needed in a timely fashion. We worked with Melissa, who was absolutely amazing!! We felt she had our backs for holding the slabs we chose for us while we got our pricing and made our final decision. We came back to see our selections, and she was able to have someone move the slabs o be able to see all three slabs we were choosing, so there would be no surprises when they arrived at our fabricator. All in all, even though the drive was almost 4 hours each way, it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I would highly recommend MSI Surfaces in Hatboro PA to anyone interested in selecting natural stone or quartz. Someone came to the house to see if we could use the current base and decided we needed only stone work done. We also used Nick for fence post removal and he was responsive and priced reasonable. The team quickly removed the unnecessary cinder blocks and elevated the base for the stone (important to us since we need drainage). They even put grass seed down and cleaned up the yard. The shed itself was easy for delivery (we didn't have to be home). It looks great in the yard and is very well made!
