Any home renovation can be challenging and filled with anxiety. Richard Lewis, was our consultant for our bathroom renovation. I can not say enough good about him. He was patient, kind, understood our needs and our budget, and gave us all the time we needed to make our decisions. He had suggestions but was not pushy. He thought of details we would need to address but I hadn't realized. Then our work was scheduled to begin before we anticipated. He was so helpful making sure we had all the materials at home in time. He coordinated us picking up pieces for our floor, from the same lot, from another location when we wanted extra just in case. Then our contractor ran out of wall tile. I still don't know why. Perhaps I had mismeasured. We needed 7 more discontinued pieces to finish the job, in hand over the weekend. Richard saved the day, and our bathroom. He called several other locations for us. It is now complete and gorgeous! We couldn't be happier. Micah, the store manager, was also very helpful. He also helped us when we came to pick up tiles and extra grout, another case of "in case we run out." Return time for our extra pieces. Micah took care of it all. We got our refund for the unused material. No business wants to make refunds but you need to over buy in this kind of renovation. They took it back graciously. Great Customer Service Recovery! I had a less than savory experience with the materials purchased, the customer service was great. Several cases of stone that purchased was broken and they quickly ordered replacement product for me. The second shipment was also half broken. They allowed me to keep the broken bits from my first shipment and the 2nd which proved to be acceptable as I had a lot of cuts to make. Thanks guys! read more

Went to the store during the afternoon of 4-16. Stayed about 1/2 hour. One employee said hello as she ran by us to go into the back - she was clearly busy with a customer call. One employee was having a discussion with a sales rep. Not sure about the other employee. I guess they were too busy to assist a customer walking around with a 12 x 12 inch tile. Rebecca gave poor advice on the construction of our shower. She ignored my drawings of the floor plan of the and shower pan (which were accurate). Rebecca has been self absorbed in her marriage and her family and doesn't listen to the customer. Expensive product that is okay. I had better luck in he old days buying my materials on Washington Ave in Philadelphia. Old Italian guys who knew their stuff. This shop is fluff with poor service and knowledge. read more

After visiting over a dozen tile stores in Bucks, Hunterdon and Montgomery counties...I finally found my bathroom tile at The Tile Shop. By far the nicest and tidiest store; easy to view samples, many design vignettes that mimick real bathrooms and kitchens. Top notch, non-pushy customer service; Megan was an essential cog in my decision making. She knows the trade and offered professional advice and lifted the drudgery of tile shopping. They offer very affordable selection that is beautiful (about $4-$7 per sq foot) and they have an enormous selection of designer and high end lines. Something for everyone...funky to traditional. Beautiful showroom and I'm sure beautiful tiles if you pick right. IUnfortunately I had a bad experience. 1. Grout: Asked Asst Manager advice on what grout to use and with great authority since he used to tile, told me a grout color so I had my contractor get it and it is WAY too light. Not at all the color in the sample he showed me. Thankfully my contractor has some stain he can use to make it darker. 2. Backsplash TIle: I picked a backsplash recycle glass tile due to the sample board in the showroom. My contractor gets them home and they are totally different. I take them back to return them and the same Asst Manager who gave me the terrible advice on the grout and he tries to argue with me that they are the same until I make him go get the sample board and then finally agrees that yes they do look different. Went and ordered a much nicer tile and better quality recycled glass tile at Avalon Flooring, 3. Travertine Threshold: I the only remaining travertine threshold they have and when my contractor installs it it snaps ins half because of the giant hole in it. I had not seen it because they had filled it with "fill" that was so well disguised that you would never know if you were a novice like me. I can't praise the Tile Shop enough, especially the manager, Amer. I am a designer and met Amer when a last minute message from an online tile vendor indicated that my tile (one of 4 coordinating tiles) was no longer available. I needed something very specific and he found it and sent it to my client without missing a beat. I have since used them for several client projects and for the backsplash in my own kitchen. They are very accommodating The store is enormous, has many, many options for stone, ceramics and porcelain. The have numerous vignettes set up all around the perimeter of the store and it makes it so easy to explain ideas to my clients or to be inspired myself. They stock tiles that compete price-wise with Home Depot and they have high end glass and stone that compete with vendors like Walker Zanger, etc. at a lower price. With all due respect to the previous reviewer, most travertine sold anywhere comes with some amount of fill. If not, the holes are so sharp you would cut your toes when you walked on it. Your experienced contractor could have identified that problem you missed and the TileShop would have been only too happy to take it back. I have never encountered any vendor with a better return policy. I also had a similar situation with a recycled glass tile there. I ordered one that on the board look like opalescent blue green small subway shaped mosaics. When they came in they appeared to be sort of taupe colored, no blue or green anywhere. He explained that they come packaged with a protective film that covers the color. What you see when you take them from the box is the tile back. When they are installed, the film is removed and voila, the tile appears just as it does on the display. Those tiles should probably have a note to that effect inside the box. It seems the assistant manager was not experienced enough to know this. Finally, grout color choice is very subjective. I encourage my clients to go in a certain way color-wise, but it is not the only answer. It seems surprising that a color would be so off from a sample. They don't always have everything I want at the price I need for a client project, but they come pretty darn close. I will say that I always go to them first, though. read more

We have not received the tile yet so as for the quality of delivery I can not speak but the process of ordering for and entire house was great. We are builders who are currently building our own home and trying the Tile Shop for the first time, if delivery and product are half as good as Felix customer service we will be back! read more

Had a wonderful experience with The Tile Shop in Montgomeryville. I completely gutted my Hall Bathroom and Master Bathroom. Amanda D. was our salesperson and she was OUTSTANDING!! She was so very helpful. We made a few changes to the size and design of our Master Bathroom which required lots of extra special tiles. Both Amanda and store manager Felix were great in finding all the additional tiles needed. Most times they were able to get them for me in just a few days!! Wow! I was not looking forward to getting tile for 2 bathroom walls and one floor. We were lucky enough to be assisted by BETH from The Tile Shop. Couldn't believe how much she knew, how many tips she gave us, and just her general knowledge of the products and her customer service. So far my experience at The Tile Shop has been excellent. Our salesman, Geoff was polite, professional and very patient. The store has a wide selection of tiles and the store is very organized with groupings of natural tile to porcelain so it's very easy to shop. They also have many tiles up on the walls and floors so you can see the different looks you are striving to get by seeing multiple tiles together rather than just one tile. Everyone in the store tries to add their insight and experience. We are just starting our project so I will update later about the finished bathroom but our service here so far has been outstanding and we plan to do another bathroom and fireplace using this place. Our tile was delivered exactly when promised with everything accounted for and I found Geoff and the other salespeople to be patient, personable and honest with their suggestions. We brought our contractor with us the last time we were there and he too is going to recommend The Tile Shop after personally seeing their selection. Apparently they are fairly new to our area so if you haven't heard about them yet, definitely give this place a try. read more
