Heirloom is a well-run establishment. When you see every employee completing tasks with every movement and the owner bussing tables plus talking with patrons, this is a service-oriented business. For my wife's birthday, the service was indeed excellent. The atmosphere is Southern chic. I caution you, don't try a Saturday Evening reservation by calling Friday night. Call early in the week to ensure a Saturday feast. Heirloom sources as much of its ingredients as possible from local farmers and fishermen. It was Happy Hour so I asked what was the "bar bourbon"? Our waitress, Candice, knew exactly what I meant and told me, Evan Williams. An Old Fashion made with Evan Williams for 8 bucks, Yes Ma'am to that. My wife enjoyed a glass of crisp pinot grigio with her meal. Candice service was impeccable the entire experience. We started with Crispy Mushrooms appetizer - awesome. Our entrees were very generous portions. My wife ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, two large cakes with crispy squash fritters and succotash for the sides, old bay remoulade on the side for the crab cakes. Nothing but crab with very little binder. She loved the entire meal. I enjoyed the Honey Glazed Bone-In Pork Chop with bbq beans and potato salad for sides. The beans needed work, but the potato salad was excellent with big chucks of potato. The pork chop was star though. A huge two-bone affair grilled to perfection. I had to cut it in half and take one half home it was so large. Magnificent. We finished celebrating her birthday by sharing the S'mores Tart for dessert. Graham cracker crust with chocolate ganache layered on top, crowned with sea salt. A toasted marshmallow cream on the side with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. She was delighted. It was not overwhelming sweet. Fabulous with two cups of decaf coffee to finish. My wife enjoyed the whole experience and definitely wants to come back. She believes Heirloom was the best dining delight we've had in Virginia Beach. I certainly agree.

Heirloom is one of the 757s shining gems of restaurants. You get a fine dining style meal and…read moreservice, but in a mostly casual setting. The servers and staff are observant and focused on small details that really set Heirloom apart. I especially love the part of the dining room filled with lush hanging plants. We visit several times a year and are always impressed by the quality. We always order the She Crab soup and a Wedge Salad as appetizers to share. They are both so good, I'd probably request them as my last meal! The She Crab soup is absolute perfection, creamy and full of lump crab. I will not order She Crab soup anywhere else after trying theirs. The wedge has pickled onions, candied bacon, blue cheese and some kind of marinated or pickled tomato. Paired all together to make the perfect bite. We have tried a lot of the menu, it does rotate around seasonally, but there are some items that are consistent. The burger was absolutely decadent but not overwhelming. I usually order the "secret", not so secret Shrimp dinner that's not on the menu anymore. You get 6 of their amazing fried shrimp, a magical dipping sauce (cant' describe it!), and 2 sides. (see what's their seasonal sides!) Heirloom will remain one of our favorite places in the 757 to celebrate special occasions!

But I didn't come for the cuteness of the pups, we came for the food lol. I have the chicken tacos and the fry flight. My son had the poodle dog with grilled onions and peppers with cheese sauce. He said it was very good wish I'd gotten him two. The guys who helped us were really nice guy's. The service was a bit of a wait, when we first came they told us it would be a 30 minute wait because the kitchen was a little backed up. Would come back to try some other things, the fry's were pretty good. I didn't really care for the chicken tacos. They were kinda just thrown together. But overall I'd come again.

When I arrived I walked to the back, and it was a cute setup for all our little furry friends to have fun, but for adults and kids to. There were lawn chairs, picnic tables, games, a side for leashed and unleashed dogs, and even a little wet area for the pups. It was also a bar/restaurant where you could eat inside or outside. The dogs aren't allowed in the inside part of the restaurant. The restaurant has hot dogs, sausages, Mac n cheese, burgers, tacos, and etc. The meals are reasonably priced. The hot dogs are thick, so your not getting a wimpy hot dog, it's meaty!! Lol. It might have been too much meat for me almost. You definitely get your money's worth!! The Mac n cheese was pretty good and cheesy, and the portion was great for the price. The fries we ok also. The area is really a vibe. It's chill and everyone is doing their own thing. They even have pup cups!! The dogs all seemed to be having a good time. When you walk in the smell of dogs hits you, but I don't have a dog so maybe that's why it's so strong. If you have a dog you probably won't even notice. Once I got used to that, it was fine. I think this is a fun little place to come wether you have a dog or not. Beer and alcohol are also served. The cocktails seem fun. My friend liked her spicy mango drink. The staff was also friendly! So yeah, check them out!!!!

I had high expectations, and somehow they still exceeded them. They're the highest rated seafood restaurant in the Virginia Beach area on Yelp, and for good reason. There was even a small wait on a Wednesday night, which honestly told me everything I needed to know before we even sat down. Our server, Jenny, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and always seemed to show up right when we needed something. The head chef also stopped by our table and was incredibly kind and genuinely invested in making sure everyone was enjoying their meal. That level of hospitality really made the experience feel special. The meal started with a complimentary amuse-bouche of roasted golden beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, and balsamic. It was a classy little bite that got the evening off to a great start. Then came the sweet potato biscuits with apricot jam...listen, I could've eaten an entire basket of those and been perfectly happy. For my entrée, I ordered the crab cakes with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. These are the kind of crab cakes people are looking for. They were packed with lump crab, full of flavor, and had virtually no filler. Every bite was delicious. From start to finish, everything was on point. Great food, genuine hospitality, and a team that clearly cares about what they're serving. It took me over a decade to make it back, but I can promise it won't be another ten years before my next visit. Highly recommend.

The service was top notch from the moment we walked in the door until we stepped outside. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and even double checked to be sure what I ordered was gluten free. I ordered the Twisted Salmon Oscar (from the menu; Baked Atlantic salmon smothered in asparagus, lump crab meat, and dill-lime hollandaise sauce). It was sooooo good. I don't usually eat much but I ate way too much today! Larry enjoyed the Fresh seafood Combination with blackened flounder (from the menu; Fresh catch, sea scallops, and lump crab cake: broiled, fried, or blackened). He also ordered the Fried Eastern Shore Oysters (from the menu: Perfectly breaded, flash fried crispy, and served with our barrier island sauce) as an appetizer and said both were delicious. all of the food came out so quick and were perfectly cooked. While we waited we enjoyed drinks from the bar and they even brought out a small bit of poke, even making sure it was gluten free for me! And lets not forget desert. I enjoyed the creme brulee and Larry enjoyed the key lime pie. We probably shouldn't have had desert but how could we say no! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Perfect for a date night. We will most definitely be back!

We had some martinis and had the bacon wrapped dates. Bobby the bartender was awesome. Poured great drinks but we also enjoyed watching the show. He has great skills and is very good at his job. We also got to meet the owner and Kelly the manager. Everyone was so nice. The bacon wrapped dates were delicious. My friend made a reservation for next week for his anniversary. I can't wait to hear about his experience.

I must say I'm torn between giving this restaurant four or five stars since I can't give them 4.5…read moreStars I'll go ahead and give them a solid 5 stars. While we did have a few bumps during our dining experience last night overall far as the ambience the service and the decor hands down Top Notch so a five stars it is! We were meeting others here for dinner last night so it was a party of six and we sat in the back area of the restaurant beautiful from front to end. Our waitress Chloe was amazing super helpful when asked for suggestions super patient as well as attentive throughout the night love her. The manager Kelly was super nice as well. My husband ordered the strip and fries and he loved it everything was cooked to Perfection for him. He ordered a Crown Royal and Sprite but it first came out as Crown Royal and Coke but our waitress quickly apologized and turn that back around and my husband had the Crown and Sprite while he wasn't a fan even though this is just one spirit with the mixer he said it wasn't good enough for another. He just stuck with his water for the rest of the night. Now on to me we started out with the Rockfish bites and calamari not a fan of calamari so I'll pass on that but it seemed to be a hit at the table I did finish up a few bites and they were very very good they also brought out complimentary bread I believe one was just a Italian and the other one was a honey oat or just Oat I had that with the butter as well as the olive oil very good I can eat the bread over and over again Lord forgive me nevertheless on to the drinks... I had the lavender drop martini and a margarita both 10 out of 10 if you like sweet go for the lavender drop if you like something strong Margarita it is and this is the first time I've ordered a margarita and it came out in a tall glass and I was a fan of it so kudos to JG for that... On to my meal I ordered the beef tenderloin and asked for a crabcake to be added and I chose the fresh green beans as my side. My meal came out first I could already tell the beef tenderloin was not cooked to my desire of medium well from what I know now someone else at the table had ordered a medium steak so I may have gotten her plate but I let Chloe know and Chloe was able to take that back and get it fixed it came back out still not to my liking however I did begin eating the crab cake and the green beans and they were divine... The third attempt Kelly the manager brought out my tenderloin and it was good at that point it was so good I couldn't stop eating so like I said even though with some bumps in the road throughout our dining experience last night still worthy of five stars super excited to return... I'm interested in trying the happy hour with the different martinis as well as small plates that are at a good price. Solid restaurant Beautiful Highly suggest you check it out if you are into chophouses. Have fun and enjoy life :)
