The drinks are a good bang for your buck! Strong and delicious. Food was good but nothing amazing. We split the calamari, burger, artichoke hearts, fries, and tuna poke. The calamari and tuna were my favorite. The artichoke was my least favorite. I would say this is more of an after dinner drinks place. At the beginning of the night, our first round of food came out pretty quickly but as it got more crowded, our second round of food took about 30 minutes from when we ordered to come out. They have live music every night and it can get loud. You can sit at the other side of the restaurant if you want to have a conversation.

This is a great spot to dress up or dress down. They have a wide variety of different food genres from wings to miso cod! The tapas were perfectly portioned and were each plated wonderfully. The cocktails are also adorable, which would make this a great date night spot. The live music was interesting but was still very entertaining; however, I wish it was turned down just a bit. The service was wonderful and very friendly! They were happy to give recommendations as well, overall a lovely experience.

I'm really excited to have this establishment in my neck of the woods. Got there when they opened and in no time all the tables were packed. It's obviously a local favorite and after trying some of their dishes, I understand why. We were a party of four and we started off with some drinks. Two got the Mezcal Old Fashion, one got a Devils Backbone lager and I got the French Martini. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and for whatever reason I didn't take a picture of my Martini and it was the prettiest drink of all. It was a little on the sweet side but still delicious. My daughter has become a regular there and our server recognized her and welcomed her back. She was very friendly and helpful. She continuously checked on us and even offered to make recommendations. Three of the four of us are vegetarians and I was pleasantly surprised to see more than usual choices. I shared several small plates with my daughter and everything was delicious. We got their smoked collard greens (first time for me), their fried artichoke hearts and their baguette served with dipping oil and Parmesan cheese. My husband got their calamari which is served with two different dipping sauces and a side of fries. He said that it was perfect. My daughter-in-law got their vegetarian chicken sandwich in bbq sauce and fries and she loved it. Overall we had a pleasant experience and can see my husband and I becoming regulars. We are already planning our return visit. The vibe is very relaxed and cozy.

Found exactly what I was looking for at The Roads Bistro! Really awesome live music and food. I've really been into jazz/R&B lately and happened to get invited here tonight for my friend's daughter's show. The ambiance is relaxing. I got the ahi tuna. It was yummy! They had some good fries, great portion. I loved the pot stickers in Thai chili sauce. Staff were nice. I'm so glad I just happened to get invited to this place. So excited to see some more live music here, yay!

We stopped into the Roads Bistro for a night cap and the entire experience was amazing. We were lucky to get a seat on their couch and had a direct view of the live band playing, This is a great place for date nights! The cocktails were amazing and the food looked great. It was very busy on a Friday evening but that didn't deter the service, everyone was very friendly and the music and atmosphere was very inviting. I definitely want to return to try their food!

Great atmosphere and warm and cozy decor. If you are looking for a great date night spot I highly recommend The Roads Bistro. Go in expecting small plates and a wide selection of drink options. Service is great and I will be back for sure.

We came here with kids. Loved it, it was a nice adult date night, but no kids menu in sight. Understandable.

A chill vibe. The bartender was nice, and served our group right away. There's plenty of seating and live music on certain nights. They have a simple menu, but I didn't try any food. My friends got a few shots and we were on our way. In and out! Check them out!!

Would this be appropriate to bring a toddler for dinner? I don't mean like kids running around the restaurant, I get that's a no as it's a nicer spot. But a nicer family dinner?

yes, if well behaved. i don't recall a children's menu, though.

The servers and staff are observant and focused on small details that really set Heirloom apart. I especially love the part of the dining room filled with lush hanging plants. We visit several times a year and are always impressed by the quality. We always order the She Crab soup and a Wedge Salad as appetizers to share. They are both so good, I'd probably request them as my last meal! The She Crab soup is absolute perfection, creamy and full of lump crab. I will not order She Crab soup anywhere else after trying theirs. The wedge has pickled onions, candied bacon, blue cheese and some kind of marinated or pickled tomato. Paired all together to make the perfect bite. We have tried a lot of the menu, it does rotate around seasonally, but there are some items that are consistent. The burger was absolutely decadent but not overwhelming. I usually order the "secret", not so secret Shrimp dinner that's not on the menu anymore. You get 6 of their amazing fried shrimp, a magical dipping sauce (cant' describe it!), and 2 sides. (see what's their seasonal sides!) Heirloom will remain one of our favorite places in the 757 to celebrate special occasions!

The service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The cocktails were well-made and perfectly balanced. We enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the Old Fashioned, the dirty Hendrick's martini (shaken with a twist), and the Painkiller. Our favorite dishes were the fried shrimp, pork belly buns, and fish tacos. The corn ice cream was unique and delicious--it reminded me of Corn Flakes cereal. We definitely recommend this spot and can't wait to come back the next time we're in town!

The bartender was very sweet and provided us with menus right away. Since I had a "Dine-In Only Bottle" available as a member, I ordered a bottle Cabernet Sauvignon, which is my absolute favorite. We also decided on the House-Made Meatballs (another favorite), the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, which is a "featured" item, and the Classic Cheeseburger. While we waited, we chatted with others at the bar and since we all wanted to sample the Wine of the Month, the Blanc de Noirs, our bartender was able to provide us with a tasting, which we enjoyed. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive but everything tasted amazing, as always. The House-Made Meatballs never miss and the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini were amazing! From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and made for a wonderful dining experience. I decided to try several items from the **Seasonal Chef Recommendations** menu, and every course was excellent. I started with the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, followed by the Shanghai Braised Short Ribs, which were incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I finished the meal with the S'mores dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending. During my wine tasting, I discovered the Vin Velouté. It was so good that I couldn't leave without taking a bottle home! I was also thrilled to learn that the Watermelon Paloma wine has returned--and even better, it's now a permanent addition to the wine lineup instead of just a seasonal favorite. That was exciting news! This visit truly reminded me why I've enjoyed coming to Cooper's Hawk over the years. Great food, outstanding service, an enjoyable wine tasting, and a wonderful overall experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We returned a second time and super busy on a Tuesday same time-why? Fish and Chips Thursday (1/2 price). Not too long of a wait though -1/2 hour and went fast as we had a drink at the Bar. We tried a couple of appetizers-goat cheese dip and fire cracker shrimp-both tasty. The Bacon stuffed Gouda burger was ordered on both visits -Ground Chuck/Proper Tavern Burger and it was that good! Fish and Chips were also ordered both visits-perfectly battered Haddock living up to the Tavern billing. The Tavern Monte Cristo is one to try. Battered and fried sandwich is never a bad idea-we loved it! We had a mix of draft beers (import)-they had Carlsberg (Danish) which isn't easy to find as well we had a Scottish Ale. Overall, an ample import draft list. Service was super engaged and upbeat from beginning to end on both visits. They are a Futbol Tavern and they mentioned they do get quite busy and have an even more of a fun atmosphere during the season-too bad we only visit during the Futbol off season-summer. We saw banners for Oktoberfest celebrations. Specials Monday-Thursday including Whiskey, wine and Wellington! Also, have a couple of sister locations in Hampton and Fredericksburg. Most definitely has been added to our must stops when visiting the Beach!

I ordered the corned beef and cabbage... man it's going to be hard to try other things on the menu because this was actually perfect. Well, one thing I would LOVE to see is some gravy on the mashed potatoes or even on the side. The potatoes taste great themselves but something in this dish is lacking diverse flavor I feel like that would have brought everything together to make it 10/10. I will still get it again though! Beware for all of my savory people... the cabbage is cooked to have a sweeter taste idk if I loved that but I added a little salt and it was fine. Carrots and mustard were great additions. Needless to say, I rarely ever finish my entire place and I stuffed myself full of corned beef to make sure I got every left bit. Can't wait to come back and try the fish and chips next!
