Messy sandwiches are kind of a theme here and is by no means a condemnation! Elote was the seasonal side offering and it was delicious with a huge dollop of mayo sauce and even more finely grated cojita! It was a pretty hefty serving and I should have just had that for lunch! Service was good for a busy late lunch. This is always a solid option in the plaza district.

I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. You can't go wrong by dining at The Press.

I've been here twice and each time leaves me looking forward to my next visit. Adriana was our server last time and did an amazing job. Quick to keep our coffees topped off and full of information about the food items I was considering. I had the Big Boi Burrito, and it was very filling and yummy. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.

I've eaten here and ordered room service several times, but after my experience last night, I won't be returning. The issue was being charged $11 for each order of white rice without that ever being mentioned when I placed the order. If I had known white rice was $11 each, I never would have ordered it. I attempted to address the issue with the manager on duty, but the response I received was simply, "That's how much it costs." Rather than acknowledging the concern or discussing the lack of disclosure, the matter was dismissed. Just a really disappointing experience from a restaurant that's part of an otherwise great hotel.

He was very pleased with both. As a bonus I got a cheesecake because we were celebrating my birthday and they gave us each a shot. I appreciate that they gave me a non-alcoholic shot since I don't drink alcohol. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was great but it comes with a corresponding price tag. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes, most definitely. I will say though that if you don't care for seafood there are options for you, but you likely won't appreciate this place nearly as much as someone who does.

One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.
