I brought my dog in today to get her nails trimmed, since she's a larger breed and it's impossible to get her to let me do it on my own. I was pretty nervous since she had a bad experience with my previous vet, she left terrified and they were trying to have me sedate her before they would work on her again. I'm against that since I've never had an issue with her and don't want to sedate her unnecessarily. Needless to say, I went in with the expectation that this was going to be a hassle but it was actually a really positive experience. Rue did amazing, she was so happy to get attention from both the owner and her daughter - after the feedback I got from Banfield I was actually shocked at how well she did. Dawn couldn't have been more knowledgeable and her daughter, Gina, was so great with my dog while she was grinding down her nails. They were so kind and sweet to both me and my pup, will 100% be coming back! read more

Honestly, i'd give this place no stars if I could. Dude, what a joke. I spoke to Dawn on the phone to inquire about getting my pup groomed. To be completely transparent, my dog has to be sedated to get groomed because she's a rescue dog and get high anxiety because she was abused. Prescribed medication from her vet for the sedation, when Dawn was told this she had a know it all attitude and you should "never" do that to a dog. Dawn was so rude. She accused me of allowing "inappropriate behavior" for my dog that is difficult because she is very timid. If you have a rescue animal, find someone better. Do not waste your time, they belittle people. I say they, but I mean Dawn. I'm glad I found a better groomer that is willing to work with my dogs instead of being like Dawn, and try to tell me what I'm doing wrong as a dog owner. It must be nice to be Dawn, she has ALL the answers. While I'm not discounting that she has a dog background, she should stay in her lane when it comes to medical things. As she is not a veterinarian. Highly disappointed with this whole company because Dawn was such a rude person. Do better, it's 2021. read more

This is my dog Zoe 4th visit to Top Dawgz and let's just say she will not be back at Petco lol. I can't get over the fact that she smells like fresh blueberries from her blueberry facial. I know really fancy for a dog lol. Her coat is super white, breath smells good and her hair is cut to perfection. Not only is she groomed well I just feel like they care for the health of your dog. They are very good with time management. Zoe is in at 9 out by 11ish. Every time I go I learn something new to keep my fur baby in her healthiest condition. I think it's family owned which is also a plus for me. So if your looking for a professional, pet loving groomer this is the place to take your fur baby. Hope this review helps! I have taken my Newfoundland here a number of times since I am all for helping out local businesses. I've always been charged the same amount ($110) and also leave a tip every time. Today, I was unable to take my own dog but instead of cancelling his appointment, I asked my mom to pick him up once I received a call that he was ready. Not knowing how much I usually pay, she went ahead and paid $150 she was charged. When I called to ask why, I was told that they were short 1 employee and that my dog was being difficult...but it seems really unfair to be charged an extra $40 without being warned beforehand. Grooming for your pooch is perfect here. They will hand blow dry your dog which is important. My dog loves it there - also very important. She is so comfortable she has fallen asleep while being groomed. It is obvious they are gentle and know what they are doing. My pomeranian turns out perfectly coiffed every time. Great, friendly people who make sure your baby is well cared for and comfortable. My (big) dog is fresh, clean, and was not anxious when we left. Nails were ground down perfectly and had his paw hair trimmed perfectly. The facility was clean and not chaotic like you will often see at the big box stores. They partner with a mobile groomer who is equally great with your dog. I used him last in 2016 or so for my previous dog who could not comfortably make the car trip. They also groom cats! read more

I can only speak about the nail trimming/grinding service since my babies dont get groomed but the ladies here are always nice and take in my dogs right away. My dogs hate getting there nails done and it takes two sometimes three groomers to calm them down and I really appreciate that extra attention. They've also given me advice which shows me that they really do care about the wellbeing of dogs. read more

These ladies did a great job with my pups, a poodle mix and a Yorkie. They cut to the specifications I asked and were very reasonable in price. $100 for both. Had an appointment at 11:15 for my blue heeler mix, got there about 15 min earlier. My dog growls at other dogs and I mentioned that he came from a shelter and was automatically told by I'm guessing the owner (the older lady) that he's been with us long enough to not do that, and I mentioned that we're taking him for training & she commented "that's good for you." How do you know if the trama my dog went through by getting beaten by other dogs is going to make him less aggressive in a year? Didn't realize this lady was a dog trainer as well. I didn't think much of it and we were told we would get called once Noah was done that a couple of dogs are before him. 2 hrs passed and my husband and I went in to get an update and the older lady said "we haven't called you yet" and it would be a couple more hours. We ended up going back to the car until I decided that she was being super rude with us, and I went in to get my dog. Then they tried telling me "do you know the process of grooming?" And "we can work around your schedules if you need us to" which is why it was at 11:15 to begin with. And I said that's fine just give me my dog. They continued to try to tell me about grooming and I said "okay that's fine just give me my dog" and one of the ladies told me to "calm down" I didn't respond after that, I got my dog and left. I have never gone to a groomers place where they've taken that long. I've gotten more done on my dog, and have gotten him out of there within 2 hrs. The time wasn't even an issue in the end for me I was more angry at the customer service. I have never met such rude people in my life. To the older lady that works there, learn some customer service skills. And to the younger lady who told me to calm down, never tell someone to calm down when they've respectfully asked you multiple times to just get their dog. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! read more

I really wanted to love this place, as we are new to the area and a neighbor raved about them. Truth is, they may be a great groomer but I'll never know due to their treatment of my dog and their rude response to my correction. We arrived to our appointment and my dog was barking. There was, by the way, a loose small dog on the counter. My dog was not aggressive but was annoying - I realize that. She asked to please pick him up as soon as they were done if he was going to be barking - totally makes sense. One employee says, "Glad I'm not hung over!" Okay, not ideal but fine. It wasn't until they began lecturing me on how I was a bad owner, coupled with pulling aggressively on my dog's leash that I asked them to please be gentle. That is when I was told that I shouldn't own this breed and that I was the problem. No question- I left. If that's the response and treatment owner/dog get - no thanks! read more
