He wasnt looking where he was going while facing uphill and ran right into her. The sharp back edge of his board cut her wide up open and left a deep bruise. It ruined our whole trip to michigan. Afterwards he refused to get snow patrol and was more interested in continuing his training session rather than helping my wife who was on the ground crying and in immense pain. He left and I had to help her myself even though she couldnt put any weight on her right leg. Hey patella tendon might be torn and she may never be able to snowboard again. I THINK THESE MORONS SAW SHES BLACK AND TREATED HER LIKE SHE SHOULDNT BE THERE. 2 days later and I cant get Boyne highlands to call me back or send me their insurance they have for their instructors. AVOID THIS PLACE COMPLETELY IF YOU THINK THE BOYNE MANAGEMENT WILL TAKE CARE OF THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSE YOU.

First, the room: The Bear Den was a cozy, clean, and comforting piece of up north. The room is decorated with tasteful log and bear decor and the bathroom has a beautiful stone shower. This room is offset from the main bed and breakfast house, so you have to walk outside to get to it and have privacy from the rest of the bed and breakfast. There is a spot to park your car right next to your room and you are located right behind the wine tasting room. The outdoor hot tub (yes, you read that right!!) is right outside the Bear Den door. We visited during the fall, so this was a great time to enjoy the hot tub overlooking the fall colors! Second, a bit on the service: it was excellent! When you arrive, you are met by the couple who manages the B&B. They are very friendly and accommodating! They offer made-to-order breakfast each morning. You fill out a paper the night before with your order (lots of options!) and what time you would like it ready. Then you simply arrive to the main house dining area at that time, and your food is promptly brought out to you! They have coffee and juices and water at your disposal. And just off the dining area is a large wrap-around deck, which would be perfect for summer weather! Also within the main B&B area are various other rooms, a library at your disposal, and an indoor hot tub, sauna, and exercise equipment (bike and free weights). To add an extra perk onto this already fantastic stay, the B&B is also home to a vineyard, so included in our stay was a complimentary wine tasting of the wines made from that vineyard. This was an absolutely amazing stay made great by the room, the accommodations, the location, the crisp fall air, and the wonderful service! Definitely would go back and recommend to anyone!!!

The number of breakfast options decrease when there are less guests. It is available 7 a.m - 10 a.m. The room was extremely clean and spacious but the space was not well designed. There was not a desk or table which is a big drawback for me. The shower is small. A larger person would find it difficult to use. The ironing board was horrible. It was a small one to use on the sink coulter with a leg that would stay up. It kept falling. All staff were very friendly.

We appreciated the outlets on the bedside lamps. However, we struggled a little getting the temperature right without having the A/C blowing so loudly. It was hard to hear the TV or sleep with how loud the system was. The walk-in shower and shampoo products were nice. The staff was lovely. I would recommend staying here, but still found it pricey for $848.96 for 2 nights. I could stay in a place in NYC for that amount! Marriott, please be fair on pricing.

I wasn't able to book online said something about an issue so I was close by and drove in to get a room. Great experience to check in but I was a little early and the room wasn't available. Totally fine, the gentleman said check in is at 3 and we will have a room ready for you then. Perfect, came back 10 minutes after 3 and went to check in and was advised the room wasn't going to be ready for another 1.5 to 2 hours. Get it, not really a problem but need to run a meeting and had kids that we thought could hit the pool, while we wait, asked and the guy said he would ask to make sure all good. Came back after speaking to the manager and told me I couldn't do that. Which is frustrating as the room wasn't ready and it's not like I'm way early for the check in I was there when I was told to be and got the room wasn't available. It's not the level of service I traditionally get when I come to a Marriott hotel. Went up the street to a Hampton hotel checked in with a breeze and as this lady said, people are canceling because of the smoke, so not a problem to get me in. Crazy .5 miles a different brand and an insanely different experience.

Our check-in was swift, and we were given a tour of the downstairs which had an amazing bar with a roaring fire, and free snacks and waters. It also had a small gym, and a game room containing a billiards table. Once we finally got to the room we were so shocked. The room was massive and absolutely breath taking. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the sheets were super soft. The highlight was the outdoor patio. We got a room on the first floor. The patio came enclosed with heaters so that you can go out and look out at the lake and not freeze. During Christmas they put a Christmas tree on each patio. Very romantic and festive. Service is, by far, the number one thing about this place. The hotels beauty is obvious, but it only goes so far if the service isn't there. We loved every minute of our stay. The bartender in the evening was the best. We sat there for hours and just chatted. He was very personable, and fun to talk to. We also wanted to use the jacuzzi, so the front desk employee went, and opened it up for us even though it was freezing outside. They also let us stay 20 minutes past the hours of operation without question. There were many more things we didn't do like snow shoeing on the lake, but they offer many things for kids, families, or outdoor enthusiasts. Overall, this was probably one of the best vacations we have had. From the service to Amenities they checked every box. If you are looking for romance, or even a family get away then this place is a must. We also took advantage of the wineries in the area. They are still open in the winter. I wish I would of snapped more photos for all to see, but I was wanted to live in the moment and not technology. This place has won many awards as a top wine hotel in the country. Just make sure you call way in advance for reservations. They book up extremely early. We booked a year in advance.

The location is fabulous, set in the beautiful historic Bay View Association with that classic Northern Michigan charm and classic views. The inn has a wonderful string of history, and you can tell the new owners are pouring everything they have into it. Unfortunately, the bar drinks, menu items, and especially the service just don't deliver at a level that matches the setting or the prices. We've seen this pattern over multiple seasons. It's tough to attract and retain great seasonal staff in the area (a real challenge for many spots up here), but at this point the execution falls short of what the property deserves. Hoping the team can turn it around--we'd love to be raving fans of this local landmark.

Very accommodating, helpful, friendly and quick to respond to our needs. It is close to grocery and shops. I will stay there again if available. We were in Cabin Four. It has a large screened in porch with a large dining table and chairs as well as two rocking chairs. I don't think you would be disappointed choosing Reeds on the River!
