I would say every seat in here is a good seat with a great view of the race track. I sat down in the lower stands and could see the whole race track. They have late model racing of course. The winner for tonight's race was Ross White. One unusual race car I saw here was the Classic race car. I have never seen the cars race. They put on a good show. He truly made this place so special, and every time we came back, personally came up and shook our hands and thanked us for coming back. The last day, my wife even came out and rode with us, and he went up to her and shook her hand and welcomed her back, even though it was her first time racing with us, when she usually sat in the car to watch the baby. Steven, is truly a special individual, who you can tell truly loves his job. I would come back over and over again, as long as he was here, because he truly made the experience at this racetrack so awesome. On the second day, we brought our son, Austin, who is autistic and Steven was so nice and gentle with him, and helped us make him comfortable enough to where he was able to actually ride the go karts with me. Not only didn't bring me as a father to tears, it brought my wife to tears as well because it was the first time my son actually did something outside of his comfort zone, and Steven made it truly enjoyable for all of us. He did not look at us differently, because we had a special-needs kid, but instead gave us so much care and graciousness and made us felt like we were friends of his. I cannot wait to come back here the next time, and hopefully Steven will be here because he truly made this trip want to remember

His cousin was a race car driver and relatives and family friends made up the pit crew. That gave us unlimited access to the pit area. Dirt track racing has become a little bit more civilized since the old days. I've seen literally hundreds of fights in the pits! The competition between race car teams was personal and rough and for real! I saw the local great racing stars up close such as Mike Duvall, Freddie Smith, and Bill Blanton and Stick Elliot. These local racing stars are long gone but the memories of them linger. Cherokee Speedway still packs the fans in! Dirt Track racing is becoming a thing of the past and many tracks have permanently closed down.

You cannot beat the Friday night dirt track racing at Carolina Speedway! My son and I have been…read morecoming to Carolina Speedway for the past few years and I'd highly recommend this track to any racing fan! This dirt track has similar racing to the dirt tracks you might have seen other areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. You will find this track very well managed and operated. Things that stand out for me include: - There is plenty of free parking and it's easy to get in and out. - Tickets are not that expensive (~$20) and kids 11 and under get in free! - There is plenty of seating and you are not tightly packed in. Bring your blanket, cooler, and spread out! - The Concession Stand and "Sugar Shack" both have great food at good prices. I've found the food at this track to be the best of many of the other tracks in the area! - The prayer and invocation at the start of the race is authentic and caring. - The announcing is on point, informative, and loud enough to hear. - You feel safe as there are many friendly fans. You also see friendly police officers stationed nearby in case there is ever an issue. Paramedics are also staffed to handle any issues on the track. - About an hour into racing they have an event called "Kids Meeting Time" where the kids in attendance are asked to gather near the concession stand. They then get free candy thrown out from the track mascots: Mudwagon the Dragon or Captain Carolina. My son loves this!!! - The track is well maintained, safe for drivers and fans, and seems great to race on. - And, most importantly, the racing is excellent, fast paced, and exciting! We enjoy all the divisions and there always seem to be a lot of cars in each division. I've referred to Carolina Speedway as a "gem" in Gaston County and every time I come out with my family we have a blast!!!

I had fun…read more There wasn't many cautions as it seems they have experienced race car drivers and the track is built is always great for racing. The race track officials seem to know what they are doing. It has great facilities. I had no problems parking and getting in and out of. Bathrooms have water and soap to wash your hands. Concession stands didn't have long lines and had a great selection and had reasonable prices. You can see the racetrack from any seat in the house with a great view. Anyway, I called the racetrack and they said it would be ok for me to camp out here overnight. However, when I woke up, I was couldn't get out because they had the entrance gate locked. So, I had to call the race director/ owner to remind him that they said I could stay over. It took about an hour for someone to come and let me out. But, I enjoyed coming here anyway.

Muddy Creek is a big track with big jumps and a big reputation. the track is closed for the winter months, I cannot wait to see whats in store for spring! Sam, owner of victory sports, always plans the Indoor races during the cold. I've been watching their website and checking dates on my schedule for their Winter Indoor Series.. Fourteen race dates this winter! Victory-sports really goes the extra mile taking care of their racers and fans!
