Our first Uniworld experience was in 2018, and there simply are not enough stars to rate this wonderful experience. From the moment we paid for our cruise package (DanubeCruise) until we arrived at the Munich airport for our flight home, everything was about as close to perfect as humanly possible. We needed to do nothing except pack, and get ourselves to our home airport, and Uniworld sent us all kinds of booklets ranging from what to expect on a Uniworld cruise, information about our destinations, everything we needed to know. and the cruise, tours, food ....everything was far above the 5 stars permitted. My how things have changed. Someone else here already mentioned the inability to reach an actual human being to whom one could pose questions or concerns. The entire booking process which had been so perfect in the past, is, as the previous traveler said, a total disaster. In our case, they double billed our credit card, causing us to exceed the credit limit on that card....for the first time in 50 years! We actually received notice from two of the major 3 credit bureaus that our credit rating had dropped dramatically....over 75 points! And it took Uniworld and their accountants and bank over two weeks to correct the double billing, and the credit bureaus tell us that it will take a minimum of 30 days to restore our rating. And we have not even received an actual apology from Uniworld....only, "we are happy to hear that the double billing was removed." No mention of any upgrade or complimentary tour to try to make up for the three weeks of hell they just put us through. So, while I hope the actual cruise and touring experience are on par with our wonderful trip on the Maria Theresa in 2018, we are already very disappointed. Yes, Covid has wreaked havoc with a lot of businesses throughout the world, but Uniworld's business is to make people happy, not subject them to anxiety.
