Excellent service, professional install team, clear and responsive communication--and an incredibly fast turnaround. What more could you ask for? I'm someone who really agonizes over choosing vendors, and after getting quotes from 3-4 turf companies, I ultimately went with Jeff. From our very first interaction to the moment his team wrapped up the install, the entire experience was seamless and genuinely outstanding. A few highlights worth sharing: * Honest, straightforward guidance. Unlike other vendors who relied on pushy sales tactics, fear-based upsells, or "premium" add-ons to inflate pricing, Jeff was direct and transparent in his recommendations. No pressure, just honest advice. His quote was also the most affordable out of the 4. * Extremely responsive. Jeff was always available via text--even early mornings and late evenings--which made it easy to get questions answered quickly during a busy workday. * Impeccable attention to detail. His crew went above and beyond. They left our landscaping, driveway, and even the street cleaner than when they arrived--sprayed down plants, wiped fences, and removed every trace of debris. Truly impressive. * Lightning-fast install. Other companies quoted 3-4 days. Jeff and his ~10-person crew completed the entire job in under 12 hours. * Hands-on ownership. Jeff was on-site throughout the install to ensure everything was done right. I really appreciated working with the same person from quote to completion. I can't recommend Turf Guy enough. He was always available to answer questions, responded to texts promptly, and provided clear, detailed explanations along with helpful suggestions. Jeff arrived early for both the estimate and installation, and he and his crew worked efficiently, completing the job exactly within the estimated timeframe. We were previously hesitant to install turf since our patio had troubles with flooding/drainage, but the turf has held up so far! I could not wait to write this review for Jeff and his crew as they were simply amazing. First some background- I initially hired a company, Turf Bros in Canoga Park, who was incompetent and deceitful in their practices (see my Yelp review for details). Basically, their work was horrendous and they would not refund my money despite not delivering all the materials, as per their own contract. So I fired them but was left with turf, some materials, and no one to install. Enter Jeff and his crew. Jeff and his wife came out on a Sunday to measure, when they could have been doing anything else. Work on the project started nine days later, on 8/5/25, and commenced on 8/8/25. From the beginning to the end, you can tell they knew how to do things right. First of all, on Tuesday 8/5/25, a crew of 10 people showed up, along with Jeff, who was always present for a period of time everyday to monitor progress and answer any questions I had. The first day, they did so much more than that previous, sub-par company did in five days! Jeff's team was amazing and their work was super streamlined for maximum efficiency. My yard was quite complex (see photos), but his crew was simply amazing in grading, compacting, and doing whatever it took to make it look nice. All my concerns, even minute ones such as wanting flat drain covers, were addressed. Jeff was always updating me via text or face to face about progress and what to expect. They finished this past Friday, and the work is top notch!! I really cannot recommend The Turf Guy enough and have thanked Jeff endlessly for coming to my rescue!
I have been looking to get turf for a while. I got 5 quotes from reputable companies. The turf guy gave me the best price and also gave me the high quality thick plush turf I was looking for. Communication was great through the process. He showed up on time and was the first step in turning my yard around. The guys worked hard and finished this in a few hours. I'm very glad I took the leap and booked them. My yard looks SO much better. Thank you guys again.
Jeff and his team just completed my turf and putting green and I have nothing but good things to say. Jeff is sweet and easy going... he cares about doing the job well and making sure you're happy. I had The Turf Guy Artificial Turf install artificial turf to create a private mini dog park in my driveway, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I got four different estimates, and the others were either outrageously priced or pushed unnecessary work--like tearing up my perfectly good concrete driveway. Jeff stood out immediately. He took the time to explain my options, didn't oversell, and offered a fair, reasonable price. Jeff and his team showed up, did exactly what they said they would do, and completed the entire job in one day. The work looks great, functions perfectly for my dog, and was done professionally from start to finish. If you're looking for honest guidance, fair pricing, and quality artificial turf installation especially if you have pets, I highly recommend Jeff and The Turf Guy.
Jeff and his team were incredible all around and if I could give them more stars I would. After multiple bids with highly rated installers I chose him because I liked his grass samples better and he was reasonably priced. But that alone doesn't make a standout experience worthy of this 5 star rating. For quick context I've worked with at least three dozen contractors over the years for various projects. I've also had experience with a previous turf company when we do the front yard during the pandemic. And I have NEVER had a better experience during the actual service. His team was courteous, clean, professional, started and finished on time, and all the other things you look for. They moved all our garden boxes, disassembled our trampoline and put it back together. The work product was fantastic as you can see by the pictures. But what really made them stand apart was their attention to detail and their work ethic. Everyone on the job was genuinely happy to be there and actively looking for the next thing to do. Near the end of the day I started putting back our patio furniture as they were cleaning up and they stuck around to help me get everything in order. When they were finally done there wasn't a trace that they'd been there other than our beautiful new backyard. Not only wouldn't I hesitate to use them again, I wouldn't choose to work with anyone else. read more

Jeff responded quickly to my initial request and came out the next day to give us an estimate. We planned to shop around but it just felt like a good fit after talking to Jeff and his wife, so things moved quickly from there. Jeff and his team were here in the morning and done in the afternoon, and they even fixed a step on our deck for us. This all led to a great backyard that we were playing soccer on the next day. Jeff and his team were very professional during the whole process and we appreciated all the clear communication. We have been having issues with our backyard and making it a great space for our toddler, dog and rest of the family. As you can see in the before pictures it was not in the best of shape and with a second child on the way we were looking ahead. I reached out to get quotes on the turf install and Jeff was one of the people who arrived on time, was open about the issues we believed we had and did not seem to be adding fluff to the estimate to make more profit on his end. We spoke about the project and he was very helpful from the beginning, even though I was unsure we were going to commit. After answering all of our questions and calming our anxiety as well as working with us and our budget we decided to move forward. We agreed on a start date and he gave me a timeline which we needed to meet so the house would not be in disarray during the event. Not only did Jeff and his team meet the deadline but they exceeded our expectations and we will definitely reach out to him again if we are in need of his services in his future. Jeff and his crew are incredible! Our yard looks great and they did the job exactly as they said they would. Jeff was very patient with us while we were going back and forth trying to decide if we were ready to do the work and didn't pressure us at all. He also provided large samples for us to help decide while kind of turf to go with (the small samples everyone else shows you are impossible to visualize in a big space!). The guys had a BIG job ahead of them as our yard was totally overgrown (we'd lose our dog in the weeds sometimes!) but they hauled all of that away and replaced it with a beautiful installation! They were detail oriented and even added a bit of turf in between some of our sidewalk that had a big gap, which both will help with preventing weeds AND makes it all look more realistic. Overall, super happy we went with Jeff and only wish we had done the job sooner! read more

Jeff and his crew did a fantastic job installing our turf while coming in at a competitive price. Jeff was amazing as our point person. He made us feel taken care of and was always responsive and available for any questions throughout the entire process. The crew did a thorough clean up at the end of the day and even helped with some extra work. We are extremely happy with our new artificial grass and wouldn't hesitate to work with The Turf Guy again in the future. After interviewing many turf companies, The Turf Guy came highly recommended. After the first few minutes, I was convinced I found my guy. Jeff and his lovely wife, made feel like they would sincerely take care of us. The team of awesome workers, showed up ready for business. My yard was a mess, due to pool construction. Those guys turned my chaos into bliss. Jeff takes care of his guys, and watches the job to completion. A happy crew leads to a great job. I am so pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail. He didn't have to sale the job, once you meet him, you trust him. Jeff wasn't the cheapest or the highest. He was the best! Called jeff to get a quote on my front lawn as it has needed to be fixed for a long time now. As a general contractor I'm always looking for great sub contractors and jeff is one of those great ones. He is definitely professional and on time he told me it would only take one day to do the front lawn they came in and knocked it out quick. I would highly recommend jeff and his crew. Fantastic job by The Turf Guy and his crew of Turf Guys (they're also called Turf Guys, but without the "The" - that's reserved for, well, The Turf Guy). I'll tell you all the details in a bit, but just as a summary in case you don't want to read my five stars of gold words that I'm laying down: if you live in LA, and you are considering installing turf at your house, just call The Turf Guy and rest assured. They do an amazing job, their price is competitive, you'll just be happy that you did it, and you'll never look back. Unless, that is, you are prone to look back. I don't know what to tell you if this is the case, other than to not do that. You're not going in that direction. Don't look back. Also, don't back down. RIP Tom Petty. Long version (yes, that was the short version): Jeff came out for an estimate for turf in my back yard. I had a 45' x 20' patch of DIRT that I suppose used to be grass at one point in its life. Within 24 hours of contacting him on Yelp, he was in my back yard taking measurements and showing me samples. My three year old son really liked playing with the samples, so a couple of days later, Jeff swung by and dropped one off for him to play with, along with a little note for him. I hadn't even committed to working with him yet and this was the customer service I was receiving! Needless to say - literally, I already told you they did my turf - I moved forward with them. Jeff was superbly communicative leading up to the install date, and on the day itself, he was onsite for a good part of the job, answering any questions I had and directing the crew to ensure it all turned out how I had envisioned. And...it did! Super super super happy with the end result. Still working on a few things in the rest of the back yard, but the turf is done and done and GREAT. Hire these guys. Well worth your money. They will finish your job before I can finish writing my next review. read more

Updated review - Vendor had visited the site multiple times prior to installation, so was aware of the locations for the turf in relation to the house/windows/doors/etc. On the day of the install he says that reflections from the windows could damage the turf and we should consider installing window film. We immediately contacted window companies and were told that NO film will prevent turf burn; turf should not be installed adjacent to large windows. The vendor was aware of the potential damage from the windows but waited until after the install to inform us. Just DAYS after the install large section of turf were melted/burnt (pictures). When we notified the vendor he ghosted us. read more
