I was told by Rose sessions run 30 minutes which was a lie. No reading ! No math ! All preschool material and has my child do the same counting 1-20 for an entire month!!!! My child was able to count to 100 prior to coming here. Such a blow of money. Rose Thomas is a fraud and has no business skills. This lady is highly unethical and deceitful and charges for a month and doesn't want to render a month of service. She Tried to discontinue his month, even though it was already paid up front. Poorly non certified and undertrained youngsters work with your child and just "sit" to watch them do generic preschooler packets. Use reading therapy over off country club if you care for your child's reading skills. This owner tells me I paid for my child to focus, upon asking her the question, where is the Reading I was charged for ??? Where is the reading material and why isn't my child doing any reading here ?! No reading material , but charged me for the service !!!! This constitutes fraud!!!!!! Beware !!! Beware! I can't overemphasize this. As a former educator, this is highly insulting collecting money and promising you subjects, and choosing the easy way out by ignoring your child and handing generic preschooler worksheets that are far below the child's grade and skill set . They do not invest 15 into your child , but instead pass time having a child complete mazes instead to pass time !!!! Report to BBB ! I told the director , Rose, my child completes these packets in four minutes as they are far below his grade level , she didn't care and had him instead do mazes ! Can you believe this ??? This is fraud. Why pay for mazes and preschool material you can pick up from books from Dollar Tree? Zero added benefit, and an unethical director, Rose Thomas, who is more interested in profit , over your child's welfare with learning. Highly unethical and a disgrace for the community! Buyers beware, they censor Google reviews and also I overheard another parent express that they aren't investing one minute into reading material with her 8 year old. Place is a fraud !!!!!! Zero stars !!! Save your money and go to reading therapy sessions over at Mariposa. They are professional Reading therapists, unlike this place, zero certifications and 0 degree in education.

Our oldest is in 4th grade and is excelling in all of her subjects, and was looking for an additional challenge, as much of her classwork is too easy for her. In her placement test, she received an 97% (math) and 96% (reading). These scores, according to Kumon, placed her in 1st grade math and kindergarten reading. This kid is currently doing 5th grade math with ease (fractions, dividing, multiplication, square roots) and they wanted to put her in basic addition. She is currently reading, "The Diary of Anne Frank" and they wanted her doing worksheets of 3-5 letter words. Our youngest daughter is in kindergarten, and we were looking for some reading help for her since she was in Spanish immersion for preschool. I could hear the lead instructor, Rose, putting her down as she took the placement exam. "You don't know this. See, this is why you need to come here." Instead of making our children empowered and excited to learn, we left with both of them feeling discouraged, defeated, and like they're not as smart as they "should be." The business model is that they place your children levels below their current school level, which makes you feel like you need to start right away for them to "catch up." At this rate, we would have paid an additional $2280 in WORKSHEETS for 6 months for them to finally receive the same level work they're currently completing in school. It felt like a scam to me, but even worse, I feel horrible that I put them in this position. I'll be exploring private tour options that will make our children excited to learn and boost their confidence along the way.

She as been helping him for a while and I really feel he has come so far because of her. She ran a great camp last year and both my nephews 6 and 11, and my niece 9, loved it and learned so much. She employed some great teachers and they provided some fun and engaging activities. Like a CSI unit, science activities and fun creative activities. This is key--not all kids learn the same thing the same way, but Mrs. Shader, a seasoned elementary-school vet who used to run Millbrae's GATE program (when we had one), draws from an arsenal of technique to help every kid get it--with kindness, encouragement, and one very tangible reward system. RevUps and summer camps are exceptionally well-organized, and professionally staffed. Clean, safe home (sanitizes work-space between sessions), and a clear parent-communicator. Both my daughters love learning because of her, and their report cards show it.

We had absolutely no problems with College Nannies and Tutors while it was owned by Charles. He was completely professional. Once it changed ownership, it was a different story. Stacey called us in May and let it slip that our Nanny was leaving to pursue a full time job. Our Nanny had asked her to wait so she could let us know personally, but clearly she wasn't interested it obliging. On that same phone call, she immediately got to her point - she didn't know how we had secured such a low rate with Charles ($15/hr), but that the new rate going forward would be $20 hr. Imagine, I'm just trying to digest the fact that we've lost our nanny, and now the owner of the agency wants to increase our new rate 30%. She also complained that $15 does not allow for her to make any money. I was stunned that she actually said that because I knew that they were only paying our nanny $9 an hour. Wow. I thought. She has a lot of nerve. I told her we would not be paying $20 a hour, especially to her, given how she handled the situation. In addition to the fiasco above, I received a $500 bill two months later for charges SIX months prior. I called her an asked for an explanation and she said we forgot to bill you. Seriously? My advice is to find another agency. Or, even better, find a nanny that you can pay directly - this way at least the person doing the work is actually getting paid. Run, don't walk, from College Nannies and Tutors.

They contacted me and solicited me and put me through a 30 minute question and answer and said at the end I would be assigned a tutor in 24-48 hours. We heard nothing and after a week I downloaded the app and answered all the same questions again and requested a tutor. I called and they said they had no signs of me requesting a tutor before I requested one online on the 17th. Fine. We get assigned a tutor and the tutor has to cancel the first session because she doesn't have the credentials she needs to give the assessment needed on the first day. On the flip side, the login they gave us for the assessment doesn't work. We call the day of our sessions on the 23rd and are told, they found out on the 19th that the program no longer required that assessment. Did they let the tutors know? No. Did they let the parents know? No. So our session on the 23rd was canceled for no reason. Next session, on the 30th. We get an email from our lovely and responsive tutor that she hopes we heard from Varsity (we didn't) but she declined her contract and canceled her sessions because of how inept Varsity was and broken promises. They say and do nothing until I call and we are finally assigned a new tutor. I talk to the lovely Tutor on the phone. We schedule sessions, through their technology, for sessions every Sunday and Tuesday. Today I go to login and and there are no sessions and no tutor listed so can't get into the session. I call and they said because we didn't have a session by the 30th, they canceled our account and they will do nothing about it. Despite it being their fault we didn't have the session. I have wasted hours and weeks. Rescheduled activities and work to be available for the sessions, and it has all been a complete waste. On top of that, when you call you speak to a call center in India. I hate that because not one of them cares about your situation ever. Not once. What a worthless company.
