Cute place located right next to a cafe. When I went in a few weeks ago you had to order from the cafe and then pick up in the coffee area (kind of confusing). Great space to work. Good area downtown and lots of tables.

Have you ever walked by something a hundred times and never realized it was there? Then you do realize it's there, so you go in and it's great!? That's my relationship with The Union Coffee Shop. I planned on going to Daisy Cafe, but I wasn't too hungry so I veered next door to The Union Coffee Shop instead. The shop was clean and had a few tables with chairs, which was perfect for my work I planned to do. I ordered a drip coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. The coffee was rich and delicious and the croissant was flaky, buttery, and heavenly. The whole time I was there I was able to get a lot of work done. The wifi had a strong connection and the shop itself was relatively quiet. I'll definitely be stopping back in here in the future now that I know it exists!

A cute little place with yummy coffee. It's basic (denotative not recent usage) and a little small. The coffee is yum, not wow, but very convenient to the Invent office. It's great for small groups, and there's more seating in the connected Daisy Café--check that out for lunch, yum.

Nice selection of various yummy coffee concoctions.

I'd never visited the Union before but I had the chance to stop in there a couple of times this week and I really liked it! They've managed to turn the funky-shaped space previously occupied by a gift shop into a warm, inviting coffee shop with nice places to sit, work, and/or study. They offer a large menu of the usual gourmet coffee drinks, plus some yummy-looking sweet and savory treats. Both days I ordered my favorite, a white chocolate mocha, and on the second visit (when I was apparently looking to consume some serious calories) I also ordered one of their savory turkey & swiss breakfast croissants. I appreciated that they took the time to heat it up in a toaster oven, rather than the usual microwave (which leaves things soggy). Instead it was nice and crunchy on the outside, and warm/gooey/cheesy/melty/delicious on the inside. It was a nice start to what was a busy day. I would have preferred a bit more white chocolate in the mochas on both visits, but then again I like things a little sweet! Each day I had a different barista, and both were pleasant and friendly. This location also offers the full menu from the neighboring Daisy Cafe, as well as free wi-fi. What isn't ample here is parking - but that's pretty much par for the course in downtown Bellingham!

Good Americano and wasn't too loud or quiet. Nice play to study or ppl watch. Plus the baristas were very friendly.

Father's Day and graduation day are not the best days to search for good coffee shops in Bham but we found Union Street and loved it! We ordered their version of a frozen mocha (hot day) and so glad we did. Dark chocolate but not too sweet. One was plenty for both of us. The barista was friendly and told us he had previously worked in Beverly Hills. We r glad he came home!

Great place to stop in for tasty baked goods and food tea. I should have posted a picture before I started eating.

Best Americano and blueberry scones in Bellingham. Their turkey cheese croissant is also very good.

I made a mental note to visit their site in Bellingham. I finally had the opportunity to try Makeworth Coffee Roasters and has now become my coffee destination up north (3/29/25). Decent paid street parking availability. The cafe itself is really amazing with the two level layout, high ceilings, and abundant natural light. Various seating arrangements that was not crammed together and allowed for comfortable convo, reading, or for the laptop crowd. The front counter had visible posted menus, a pastry case, and various coffee roasts to choose from. The layout allowed for efficient customer flow for ordering, pickup, and takeout. Welcoming barista staff - no hipster attitude. There's also other merch available for purchase. Overhead music and interior aesthetic added to the pleasant environment. Enjoyed my mocha, thankful for the clean restroom before hitting the road, and look forward to trying the purchased roast for brewing at home. Definitely recommended!

I've lived in and around Bellingham for my entire life and somehow never realized this spot existed. What a find! For starters the reviews were great, but the parking lot was full when we arrived at 1pm on a random Wednesday which is typically a good sign that this is the spot. The entrance lives up to the name with a beautiful arched door to welcome you in. The space is large and airy with a ton of visual interest. We were told there was a 5-15 minute wait but it was very quick before we were seated in the bustling dining room. Our server was attentive and very friendly. Seeing the food and amazing coffee/hot chocolate drinks being delivered was genuinely exciting us. With peaches in season, peach blintzes and French toast were on special. The server recommended the blintzes so that's what I ordered. When they arrived she told me that if I didn't like them they would switch them out which was a nice offer but I absolutely loved them. I also ordered the fancy Vienesse coffee which was a true treat! Overflowing with homemade whip it was amazing, but not super hot. My hubby ordered the Buttermilk breakfast which was two pancakes, one egg, bacon, fruit and included coffee and juice. The house coffee was delish which was a very nice to have. He also ordered a side of sourdough bread which was amazing with the homemade jelly. My daughter ordered the kids chocolate chip pancakes and devoured them. The only complaint was that it was a little on the spendy side, but when you consider that it's literally all homemade ingredients it's absolutely worth it. Can't believe we've slept on this place for so long. Will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the baked French Ham & Cheddar omelet. Plenty for us to split. They have excellent butter that enhances their already great pancakes. The pancakes were included with the omelet. Pretty proud of their biscuits but we thought ours was overcooked. We enjoyed eating the soft middle inside, but left the crusty outside. And we're not raspberry preserve folks. I love fresh raspberries but just can't do any other raspberry items. Tried the preserves but just not for me. Probably won't order the bacon again either. Good flavor but thick cut and hard to cut/chew. We'll be back!!
