The UPS Store on St. Georges Avenue in Avenel appears to be permanently closed. I went instead to The UPS Store at 1195 Green Street in Iselin, located in Green Street Plaza next to Dunkin' and the liquor store. Very close to Avanel store nj. I received wonderful service. The staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. They also offer special discounted pricing for existing mailbox customers transferring from the closed Avenel location, which was greatly appreciated. There is plenty of convenient parking behind the plaza. I highly recommend the Green Street UPS Store in Iselin for mailbox services, shipping, printing, and excellent customer service. read more

If I could give less than 1 I would. This location is so money hungry they try to charge for things that should be courtesies. This wasn't the first time but today my package needed 2 maybe 3 inches to close the package they immediately said you have to pay for tape. I said It's small I can use scotch tape and they were trying to find ways to get money for things that are part of the packing experience. It's terribly poor customer service. read more

I would give 1 star, but because this location is close to my house that's the only thing positive about this location. Almost every time I go here there is an argument with the customers. Especially the grumpy Indian guy behind the counter with ZERO friendliness. He's rude, talks to customers like a piece of garbage and even though I always go there prepared with the QR code on my phone to be scanned, he will take the next customer if I don't take out my packages with Star Wars lightspeed. Even though Amazon will say not to pack your items, I always do. This place is so unorganized that I can't trust them packing my stuff. The only time I dealt with friendly employees there was recently, but it was a black and Spanish guy behind the counter. The Indian guy needs to be fired. The 2 gentleman that work there are completely lost. One was nice but lost the other was just rude. On top of slow service and rude behavior, they have nerve to charge me almost 3 bucks to print and single pre-paid shipping label. Very poor customer service at this Avenel Nj location - I just needed to return a lands end package (free return charge (which I should have been able to do!) and the young rude clerk , after taking a quick look at my return package (and after I said I'd like to make a return ) - he said "we don't take those returns - you need to go to the actual post office' (or something like that)- he said this as he was walking away- Very rude! I found that hard to believe about not being able to return it there- so I went to the UPS Store in Iselin Nj - and sure enough I was able to return my package there! Interesting! Awful place. Rude employee couldn't even make eye contact with me as he scanned the package I was trying to drop off. He then tells me he can't accept it, doesn't give me a reason why, and says go try another store. I went outside and 2 UPS delivery drivers were unloading their truck and one of them was nice enough to scan the package for me and, susprise, no issues with it! I've seen this store through 5 different owners. It came under new ownership again 3 weeks ago and I will no longer be supporting this business. Never had a problem receiving any of my packages, now packages are missing or show up a week later opened and damaged. For a business that expects to succeed  on customer merit, you have poor quality customer service. The young man that works here clearly hates working here. I was using the computer and there was an older lady on line trying to return her Comcast box and he was being extremely nasty to her so I told him to stop being so rude. Then when I came to drop my stuff off he told me to never come back here and to mind my business. I recorded our whole time interaction because he immediately was aggressive with me and I plan to send it in so they can properly deal with him. He then told me "nothing is free" after I asked him if he's allowed to let me use some TAPE. He then proceeded to tell me I "need to read instructions" after asking him if they take the package that I was dropping off. HOW RUDE!!!! I let him know he needs to be nice to his customers and that his customer service should be better and he said he doesn't know how to and that I should teach him EWWWWWW!!!!! I couldn't agree more with the scathing reviews listed here and on Google Reviews. The ownership of this store needs to do a deep dive and spend some time seeing who is running their business into the ground. Each and every time I go here, I am met with a disgusting attitude. However, that is not why I am writing this review (though I've considered it multiple times for how horrifying their customer service is). There are some very dishonest individuals working here. I place multiple returns a week and thankfully I keep my tracking receipts to know that this happened for certain. I was recharged by a vendor who had originally refunded a purchase with the understanding that I'd be sending the item back. I trusted this store with the return, only to find out that they clearly never mailed it (outside of the package was visible to the contents, vendor's choice not mine - and I am fully sure the item was kept for themselves, gifted elsewhere or likely even sold). They created my label to send me on my way, and probably thought people don't check to actually make sure their items are sent, or they figure people throw away their receipts so they can't check or trace it back to them. Thankfully after 6 weeks I still had this and could find out that they steal from their customers when they see something they want. I will never return to this store and will happily give the volume of my orders to the wonderful proprietor in Tano Mall, who puts this place to absolute shame. Came here yesterday about 20mins before closing to overnight several packages (essentially asking for the impossible). Vishal not only met my challenge but far exceeded all my expectations. He insisted on an after hours pick up since I had missed the last pickup for the day. He stayed late to meet with the driver and called me to confirm all the items were picked up but what makes this a truly spectacular review was that, no customer was kept waiting while he attended to me. He engaged every customer that came in and helped them with all their needs! I will definitely be returning to this location for all near impossible to deliver packages. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have returned amazon packages to this place a number of times and they print my label no problem but I went into the store to return a package and had a return label in my email and asked them to print for me. I also needed a box and was willing to pay but they wanted to charge me 6 dollars for the box ok no problem and then 3 dollars to print and I tried to explain I had the label. To make a long story short the punk with hair longer than mine gave me a huge attitude because I didn't understand what he was trying to say to me and basically told me to get the f$&k out his store (his exact words) and I said do u talk to your mother like that. How dare u speak to a female never the less anyone like that and left the store mortified. If that place was on fire I wouldn't even spit on it to put it out. The worse place I've ever encountered and will never ever return there there I don't care what the situation is and if I was a dude I probably would of fought that guy speaking to me like that. This location has recently changed ownership and the new owner is never there. I shipped a package from The UPS Store in Avenel, NJ and paid extra for the package to be insured for the full $200.00 value. The item were damaged and the store owner not honor the insurance. I have been selling and shipping for 20 years and have been dealing with this location since they opened. Beginning today I will change locations or maybe switch to USPS or FedEx. read more

Had a great experience at this UPS store. I had passport pictures taken and with the manager's assistance completed a passport renewal application and mailed it out priority mail that same day. I was also able to get a document notarized and mailed that out as well. The store definitely met all my needs. No wait, no lines and great service! Highly recommend. read more
