I don't dispute the validity of the 1-star (or less) reviews, but luckily that hasn't been my own experience. A few years ago, I had to fax documents over to a potential employer, and I chose to use the Staples store in Chester, NJ. My experience there was an exercise in frustration, and it was expensive to boot (I left a 2-star review on Yelp; they subsequently closed-- not that I take any pleasure in that, but it came as no big surprise...and I'm sure my 2-star review had nothing to do with it!). Pissed off, exasperated, I decided to use the UPS Store instead. The store clerk quickly and efficiently faxed my documents over to where they needed to go, and it was substantially less expensive than the Staples had been. A week or so ago, I ordered a photo album from Amazon for $30. It arrived quickly, minus the pages necessary to mount photos. Sort of comparable to ordering a record album with no actual record inside. In order to get a refund, I was told to print out the "refund" page they sent to me, take it over to the nearest UPS store, and they would process my refund. Seemed like a cumbersome, annoying way for me to get my money back for their f*ck-up, but I didn't have the patience or time to dispute the procedure with Amazon (although my Yelp entries don't always indicate it, I DO have a life), and I don't have enough discretionary income that I can just kiss off $30. So...I printed out the page, and brought it to this UPS store, which is not far from where I live, along with the page-less album in its cardboard box. There was a line of 2 or 3 people, but the line moved quickly. Less than 5 minutes after entering the store, the process was completed, and my money had been refunded. They kept the album; I walked out with the empty cardboard box. As I've said, my reasons for utilizing their services are few and far between, but when I've had to utilize said services, I've never had any cause for complaint.

    I had a terrible experience with this delivery service. They were hired for a "white-glove" in-home…read moredelivery, but the crew was unprofessional, ill-equipped, and physically negligent with the furniture. The crew arrived without basic tools and actually had to ask me for a screwdriver to finish the assembly. When I saw they were struggling with the items, I offered to help by watching the remaining pieces so all three men could safely carry the first heavy unit up the stairs together. Instead of being professional, one of the movers was incredibly rude, telling me, "Don't try to tell me how to do my job. You can wait upstairs." The "job" he then performed was rolling the boxes up the stairs rather than lifting them. While doing this, they complained the entire time about the items being "too heavy." Because they chose to roll the furniture instead of carrying it, the piece is now damaged. A drawer is completely misaligned and sticks out from the frame, and it is now physically tight and difficult to shut. It is clear that rolling the unit put stress on the frame and hardware that it wasn't meant to handle. If you value your furniture or expect a respectful, professional delivery experience, avoid this company. They are confrontational, lazy, and will damage your items.

The instructions clearly stated that the item should be placed in a box (preferably the original one, which I had) and that the UPS Store would print the label. The man behind the counter opened my box "to check the return," then told me I had to take the box with me. I explained that I was following Zappos' directions, but he insisted a box wasn't required and that it wasn't his problem. When I tried to show him the instructions, he refused to look. Another employee jumped in, saying they're "not a garbage center" and that if I didn't take the box, they'd cancel my return. At that point, I asked for the owner's contact information. The second worker sarcastically asked "for what?" and then flat-out refused to provide it, choosing instead to ignore me and go back to his laptop. I left with my return and label in hand. I'll be escalating this to corporate and will never use this location again.

During my visit today, an employee named Harmon took possession of my documents and refused to return them when I asked because I didn't pay for an envelope. Instead, he stated he was going to throw them away, which was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I continued to request my documents back, he still refused, leaving me no choice but to call the police to help resolve the situation. When he heard call the police he told me to "Get the F* out." Unfortunately, the response I received was simply that I needed to leave because that was what the manager wanted, rather than addressing the actual issue. This was an extremely frustrating and concerning experience especially being 5 months pregnant. I would strongly caution others to avoid this location at all costs.
