Interesting you have so much to say in response to my low review but didn't have half as much to say when I was actually in your store trying to complete a transaction. There is nothing wrong with the "magnetic strip" on my card nor is there any issue I need to "talk to my bank about," sir. My card has been and still is working well at every other store I use it. Maybe if you weren't using public school computers from 1996, it wouldn't have been an issue. Your service was ass, just own it and do better. I went to another ups store today to finish what you were unable to cordially complete and the service was excellent, it was like dealing with a completely different company. Maybe you should ask them for some tips on better customer service and courtesy. Not to mention, if you're the owner, you should probably be ashamed at your own customer service as well. I am a business owner as well and we don't treat our customers like that on our worst days. You never even spoke to me until i grabbed my boxes to walk out lol. read more

I often use the UPS store in the Rotunda because I cannot depend on the Postal Service. The staff in the UPS store are very helpful and efficient. I appreciate having the UPS store in my neighborhood. read more

As an FYI, do not select this location as a UPS Access Point to have your UPS packages delivered. This location is not accepting packages even though it is listed as a UPS Access Point. If you select this location, this store will not accept the package and the UPS driver will select another UPS Access Point to deliver your package. If you drive then this may not be an issue for you however, if you rely on public transportation like I do then this will be an inconvenience for you. read more

I brought a brand new MacBook Pro computer to be shipped overnight to my son in college. The cost for next day delivery was $122.00. The package was scanned in but never made it onto the truck. It took close to two months of phone calls and e-mails to get a degree of resolution. I have still not been made whole and will never ship anything from this location again. It is still unclear as to what happened to my brand new computer. read more

I decided to create a Yelp account so that I could leave a review for this UPS store! I recently went in to sign up for a personal mailbox, and the man who usually works at the front (I don't remember his name, sorry!) was so helpful and explained everything very well. He's very friendly and greets everyone with a smile even when lines are long. Also, when one of my Amazon packages didn't show up on one day, he helped me out when my package delivered to this UPS store was marked as delivered, but was nowhere to be found (ended up arriving the NEXT day). Usually I don't have great experiences with UPS stores, but this one is definitely a gem! So much so that I actually decided to create a yelp account and leave a review. The place is also clean, well lit and overall the atmosphere is nice. Whoever usually works in the front (directly straight ahead when you walk in through the door) definitely needs some recognition! read more

I would like to give Kudo's to your employee Quentin. He is a small gentleman and came to this location with myself and my mother needing help with 2 very large bags. Quentin only asked which car. He was able to bring in both bags. He was able to box the ideas up and get me a very good rate on shipping the packages. Friendly. Quick. 10 min. store parking right out front. I called ahead to ask if they have a notary (the voicemail said they don't yet, but the live person said they do and that the notary would be in the store in about half an hour). I showed up. The notary was there and notarized my document quickly. It cost me $4. Nice people working there. I'm a happy customer. read more

Let me get this right I sent a package from New York UPS store, and I paid almost 70 dollars to have it delivered to my daughter as a late Christmas gift, only to find out that "Chris Richburg" and staff refused the package as soon as it arrived having it sent back to me in New York WTF. I think there needs to be better communication with this location and other franchises as well, why not call the number listed on the tracking order giving the person listed as the contact the opportunity to pick this package instead of sending it back to its sender. Your policy, which I just found out and wasn't informed from the other UPS, in NYC, store when I requested to have the package sent to this location at 711 W 40th St, Ste 153, Baltimore, MD 2121. The policy states that you can only hold packages for people that have established mailboxes at this location and "Chris Richburg and staff" automatically refuse to take any packages if you're not the owner of a mailbox at this location. Again WTF, if I paid almost 70 dollars for delivery, you could have held the package overnight as a courtesy, and called the person listed as a contact. Also, I understand all of these UPS, are franchised and other stores may operate differently in terms of accepting packages from people who don't own mailboxes, Mann, I'm done with this store at 711 W 40th St, Ste 153, Baltimore, MD 2121. If I could give them half of a star I would, but I have to settle with the one star. In this day and time with people stealing packages all over, is really the main reason I decided to send it this way, and to "Chris Richburg' and staff, too bad you're not informed of what's happening as well, it could have been a way for you to generate more money for the store by bending the rules especially during the holidays.. Let me start off by saying, Quentin is amazinggggg!! I came in today on my lunch break at work with no time to spare for notary services. When I got there, there was a line of about five people in front of me. Quentin had NO help and efficiently took care of those customers with a quickness. When it was my turn, I was informed that I should not have PRE signed the form. Ughhhh! This was my first time having to get something notarized so I was frustrated. I only had one form and no way to print another. The internet was down on the facility computer, so Quentin let me use his office computer to print what I needed!!! He doesn't understand how much he saved me from a serious situation!! Quentin did not have to go out of his way to help me being that I was the one whom was unprepared. I really appreciate his patience and stellar customer service skills!! Thank you Quentin and I hope you get the recognition you deserve !!! read more

Refuses to process claim of package, they boxed, that was requested to be marked fragile and was completely damaged. Use the Towson Store - never had a problem there. They know what they are doing and treat people right. read more

I called the store to see if a package that I had re-routed to the store was there yet. The voice mail gives you the option of connecting their friendly staff. Well, that's not the case. I said to her and I quote "I'm calling to see if my package was delivered there yet". Right away she said I need to call the UPS main number. I said "I spoke with them and had the package re-routed to this store". She said she didn't understand that, meaning I didn't make myself clear. What part she didn't understand of please check to see if it's there. She sounded like she didn't want to work. Plus, once she did check for the package her demeanor became rude. It was nice to have a UPS store in the area, but I would rather drive further than to deal with a place that lacks good customer service. read more

So I shipped five boxes totaling $540 from Baltimore to Los Angeles my boxes were taped they were in good shape I had just purchased them from the store. I made the delivery on the 19th and they were scheduled to arrive on the 23rd I asked the girl at the delivery start could I pick them up from the store and not have them delivered she said sure So I tried to contact the store in between the delivery date and the time of shipping but I was unable to reach anybody because the packages had not arrived at the end location so once they did, Friday morning arrive at the location. I called and asked if I could pick my packages up they said sure there would be a delivery attempt and then they would ship them back to the store and then Monday the 26th I could pick them up. When I got home on the evening of the 23rd my packages were sitting in the hallway all five of them all but one was like totally crushed one had the whole side ripped out and the other 3 looked like they have been opened and like somebody look inside like the tape was cut. I don't know if anything is missing or damaged and I'm not really mad because it's soft items, coats, shoes, purses, hats. I just can't believe my boxes arrive like that so I will not be using them again. I'm so glad I didn't send my kitchen aid mixer. read more

Rude service by an employee named Quentin. Just really poor customer service skills and some level of baseline passive aggressive posturing- refusing to hand over a pen/placing it on a counter when asked for one; refusing to take a signed receipt on the counter unless it was handed to him. Dropping my package and saying it doesn't matter it's a return anyway. Generally unpleasant and clearly unhappy/bad skill set for customer service. Probably would be better served by a job with little to no interaction with customers. In addition it appear his manager was there and observed this all and did not find this to be an opportunity to improve and learn. read more

So we finally have a UPS Store thats near my house. I was excited because I do a lot of returns through UPS. Well today I walked into the store with my box that has a proper return label and is a BROWN BOX, you know one of those things with 6 sides and is brown. Yeah well I was denied because well I can't even really tell cause he didn't really make any sense. Little background, I bought something from B&H Photo and when the product got here it was damaged. No big deal return it for an exchange. So I printed out the label and slapped it on the same box that the product came in. Went to this new store and they denied it but wait it gets better. I get in my car upset and see a UPS driver up the way. I ask "Hey do you see anything wrong with this box?" He says after looking at it for sometime confused "No why what happened?" I explained the story and he took the box for me cause yeah again there is nothing wrong as long as its in a box. I think the kid just wanted to make a sale cause he was like we can give you a new box for a fee of only a few dollars. Super duper annoying and I will be chatting with customer service of UPS soon. Cause unless I come in with a box in the shape of my foot and there are things hanging out of it I should not be denied. read more
