I showed up at this UPS store around 6:20 PM to return a few Amazon packages. Online it clearly says the store closes at 6:30, but when I got there, I was told I'd have to come back another time because the register was already shut down. Two other customers were also turned away at the same time. I needed to buy a box for one of the returns and was told I couldn't even pay in cash but apparently the register was completely closed before the actual closing time. If the store stops processing transactions before 6:30, that should be made clear somewhere, either on the door or online. It's a huge inconvenience to rush over after work thinking you have time, only to be turned away early. Definitely disappointing and not the level of service I expect from UPS. read more

I had a terrifying experience at this UPS Store on Boston Street on Saturday, August 23rd around 2:50 PM, and I feel other customers should know. I was 30 weeks pregnant and came in to do a few Amazon returns while my husband and toddler waited in the car. I politely asked to use the gray cart to bring in my packages. One female employee said yes, but almost immediately both female employees started sharply questioning me: "How many boxes do you have?" "Is it a lot?" and repeating that the store closes at 3 PM and I should come back tomorrow, even though it wasn't 3 PM yet. To move things along, I asked if I could start scanning the QR codes while my husband loaded the cart. One of the employees responded rudely that whatever wasn't done by 3 PM wouldn't be scanned and I'd just have to come back. A male employee who seemed new tried to help and started scanning my first return, but when a second code didn't go through, the two female employees just stood back watching him struggle, clearly unwilling to help. Feeling frustrated but still trying to be polite, I rolled my items back toward the door and said sarcastically, "Thank you so, so, so much for all your help -- you've been extremely helpful, enjoy your weekend." One of the female employees(Lexi) then said, "F-her, I'm not helping her, she's being rude." When I turned and asked what she said, things escalated. They raised their voices, said they didn't care if I was pregnant, and one of them shouted: "I don't care if you are pregnant, I will smack the [expletive] out of you." My husband came in, worried for my safety, and told me to go to the car. As I was leaving, I saw one of the female employees come out from behind the counter and start throwing our packages. Another customer in the store was so disturbed that she yelled at the employees about their behavior and later gave me her contact information to support a complaint. This incident caused me so much stress that my OB has referred me to a cardiologist. I filed a complaint with UPS Corporate (Case No. C-0319717605), but because this location is privately owned, I was told by corporate there is basically nothing they can do. I was also told the store refused to provide the video footage corporate requested, and that they communicated to the owner to reach out to me, which she has not! As someone who lives in this neighborhood and shops in this plaza often, I now feel unsafe using this location and hope no one else has to go through what I did. read more

Now UPS is charging to print return reciepts which is greedy. Some people still don't always have access to computers or printers and that's exploiting poverty. I can imagine this store has become a glorified return service for Amazon thats constantly busy but, the employees there are consistently rude upon entry and clearly frustrated by the amount of customers out the door. Light skin girl with hair rows muttered something under her breath about customers to her co-worker who wasn't much better. Angelo took over and was calm, respectful and helpful. Boxes piling up haphazardly around the entrance each time. Staff closing things down and refusing customers well before posted hours, so you waste a trip there. Employees acting annoyed to have customers at all. Rolling their eyes, sitting around on their phones. Entering shipping information wrong, multiple times. Not listing all shipping options up-front -- just the most expensive option, unless you ask. Tossing packages around. Making demeaning comments about customers leaving the store. Seems they no longer offer passport photos or notary services. Observed this a few times - I wouldn't feel good about returning - can go a little farther to a different store or to the USPS. read more

I felt so bad because I had to make 3 separate transactions about 10min before closing time. Usually, employees are restless during closing time, however, the employees here greeted me with a smile. The young lady that helped me (African American young lady.. sorry I didn't catch her name) was so sweet and patient. She did not rush me at all. I just wanted to say I appreciated her kind spirit. I visited the store four times, and never actually succeeded at shipping anything. They seem to be closed on random days quite frequently, and this evening I showed up and they closed early. Given that it's Christmas time, and a peak time for shipping, and there were six employees inside, it was quite frustrating to see them lock the door five minutes before they're posted closing time. It's a really bad outlet, I strongly recommend you go elsewhere, just due to the poor reliability. read more

today I visited this UPS location and I was treated with the upmost disrespect I have ever been treated before at a UPS store in my life. I walked into the store, looking to pick up my order, and immediately was given the nastiest attitude by an employee with black hair and it was long. first of all, I just needed to pick up a print order first she started off saying that she already completed all the print jobs during the day so I gave her the name and then she went to her computer and found my order. Once she saw my order, she started having the nastiest attitude because my order had 40 PDF links in her words, but it was only eight. she immediately said absolutely not that she wasn't gonna print my order and that it was going to take her half an hour in my defense I feel like if that was the case she could've just kindly asked me if I could resend the PDF links and shorten them for her instead of just immediately turning around to me and saying in the nastiest attitude that absolutely not that she's not gonna print it, then all of a sudden she brings her coworker over and she still speaking about me as I'm standing in the establishment saying how absolutely not that she can't believe that these people placed an order for 40 PDF links when that wasn't even the case so she's speaking bad about customers in front of their faces. when I say I will never come back to this establishment I mean that and it's crazy because I'm not even from here so the fact that y'all have nasty workers like this is absolutely disgusting. I will never leave a good review for this place. but I do want to say a huge thank you to the other coworker who actually ended up helping me and the print job only took about one to two minutes, so I would love to know what the original lady was talking about when her coworker was able to print my order and it took two minutes next time be nicer to your employees but again, thank you to the coworker that did help me. read more

Took 2 vintage porcelain lamps to this location to pack & ship to Florida. The employee clearly had no idea how to properly pack delicate items, even tho sign on wall & website boasts "professional packets". She used an over sized box & a couple sheets of brown paper, ignoring my suggestions of 2 boxes and they should be immobile during travel". Of course the lamps arrived shattered. But it only got worse. The store was unresponsive. Computer generated response on Google Reviews was actually misinformation, and once I followed it, the store told me "there's nothing we can do". But the icing on the cake is the fact that the inept employee told the mgr that I had "refused to pay for bubble wrap"- an absurd lie. The mgr, Kristy, stated she would not discuss this with the employee because she "doesn't like confrontation"! So a mgr who cannot manage, and an employee who lies and blames customer- not a great combination. read more

I went to the UPS Store for drop off/mailing several packages, some were just a scan and some were needing packages and new label. Karen was friendly and greeted me right away to help me with all three of my separate items. However, there were three other young employees working (4/9 10:45am) who were blaring rap music from the store computer, and were talking about a concert they're planning on going to, but my problem comes from the fact that Karen and I could barely hear each other because they were so loud. Finally, the three of them went back into the back of the store. I made a comment asking if this was normal store music to be blasting curse words and inappropriate lyrics? Keep in mind I am 28 years old I normally don't mind different types of music. However, this is completely inappropriate for a store setting. Karen asked the ladies to change the inappropriate music. She was met with passive aggressive comments, so I spoke up saying the music was rude and inappropriate for the store. Two of the employees started making rude comments to me about how the music that it was exchanged for wasn't good store music and argued with me about how rap is better than what was put on. Very convenient location and helpful staff! I have gone twice in a couple of days and was pleasantly surprised. First was to make copies and scan some documents, which the gentleman working there dropped everything and helped me do it in under 2 minutes. He had me check my email to make sure I received the copies before he erased them on their computer which was super nice and reassured that my personal info wouldn't be saved on their computer forever. It was also super cheap, I thought it would be marked up for something so simple, but it was under $5. Second time was to drop off an Amazon return. I received an email and app notification that my package was ready for pick up. In the store there were 3 employees in the front with 1 other customer who came in after me. They looked up my package and said it wasn't in their system yet and asked me to come back in about an hour. I told them I couldn't really come back in an hour because I was on my lunch break. The employee said they'd go ask their manager (meaning there were actually at least 4 employees in the store) if it can be processed into their system now. The employee came back and pointed at a stack of about 20-25 packages in the corner and said that it's in there and I really can't go through those to find yours right now, despite there still being just one other customer in the store who was being assisted by one of the two other employees. I was refused service at this store for not wearing a mask even though it is no longer required by the city or state. Go to Baltimorecity.gov and you can easily find the document stating the COVID restrictions have been lifted. My issue is that I walked in and the manager demanded I pit a mask on, while her mask was below her nose. I informed her there was no mask mandate and she refused to listen. I requested she call the franchise owner since she's just an easily replaceable shift manager, and she instead called 911. Which I supported. So I waited. As I'm waiting they let 4 customers in at a time when the sign on the door states 2 at a time. When I brought this to the managers attention she stated "you aren't a customer". I don't think she understands it's for Heath reasons if that's put in place. Not technicalities. This alone proved she did not care about safety and only cared that I wasn't following what she assumed the government was enforcing. She called me names like annoying and kept saying I was being "ridicilus". The police showed up and we're completely on my side, and forced the ups store to take my package. I don't think people realize, the people whom don't wear masks now, are the people whom came out during the pandemic and kept these businesses open and assured these people would have jobs. We were shipping boxes from Baltimore to California, and they helped to tape the boxes up to ensure they don't fall apart in transit. Zero stars for being "uninformed". I went to UPS to get a self-addressed envelope since it was a requirement by an Embassy for returning my passport after issuing the tourist visa. I did explain this to this UPS and also showed them this requirement on the Embassy's website. My visa interview was on the next day and this UPS was my only option at the end of the day. The person at the counter totally freaked out about it as if I were a criminal asking for some unlawful favor. 1) This person did not understand what a self-addressed envelope is, 2) said that UPS does not provide self-addressed envelopes, 3) even mentioned that USPS is also not in the business of giving self-addressed envelopes- This is total nonsense as I had got a self-addressed envelope from USPS few months back for a different visa. Irritated by persons ignorance I reached out to the Store Manager to get clarity on the matter. She told that a self-addressed envelope means that they have to create a Return label. In order to do that first they have to send a regular mail to the address, wait for the address to accept the mail and once accepted the address can use the Return label (which will be sent along with the original mail) to send a mail to me. This procedure may take a few business days. She also mentioned that this UPS doesn't have the authority to create a Return Label. A full service UPS might have this option so I should try to go to the one in downtown. Long story short, it was already late in the evening and I was panicking since it was close to UPS's closing hour. Thankfully I remembered Varsity (at the Can Company Complex) and rushed there. They were more than helpful and were fully aware of what I wanted and that they have issued self-addressed envelopes in the past for visa purposes. They exactly knew what to do and even kept their business open after closing hours to help me out- read my review on Varsity. Please go there instead to this UPS. read more

Parking is a chore, but this UPS Store is fast, courteous, clean, and smells kind of like olive oil! Also, they will let you drop off prepaid packages, something that some other ups stores irritatingly do not allow. read more
