I went to drop off a Amazon return package, which should take less than a minute. I parked, unknowingly that a driver had moved traffic cones for the spot. Did not see any signs either. As I'm getting out of the car, one of the customer service rep came out to rudely tell me that I can't park there, that a driver was about to park there and moved the cones I told him I didn't know and that I was only dropping off a package and shouldn't take more than a minute, he rudely said then hurry up so you can leave, in which another employee rudely says there's signs posted I matched their energy and explained that I did not know and that I was only dropping off a package and leaving on less than a minute, in which a customer starts talking crap to me in which I matched her energy as well I have never been treated so poorly for a 1 minute transaction As I left I apologized to the driver and he even stated that it was not that serious for the employees and customers to respond that way and apologized for their ignorance. I will never step in that location again and think those employees need better training as their whole attitude and way of handling such a minor situation was disgusting and uncalled for Don't get mad when people match your shitty attitude!!! read more

Ok, so I walk in to have a document notarized. This is a service that they advertise. The place is empty. The guy who I believe is the owner tells me that if I need to have something notarized I have to scan the QR code and make an appointment. Annoying but ok. Sort of implies that someone has to come in to specifically fulfill notary appointments. So I schedule one for 2 hrs later. I then return 2 hrs later and the same employee (possibly the owner) who made me make an appointment and return is there. He then breaks out the stamp and notarized my documents at a whopping $10 per page. Very confusing. Why in the world would you treat a customer like this? Make them jump through hoops to make an appointment and then have to come back! When you could have just notarized my documents? This is beyond irritating. Extremely rude. I can't recommend using this ups store. read more

Have been here 10 times in the last year ( you'd think I'd learn after the first few, but I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they got their act together). Every. Single. Time, I try to drop something off, and they say, "The system is down." Interesting, because 10 times out of 10, when I took it to the UPS store on Fullerton & Wayne, their system was magically working just fine. Never again will I go to this location. read more

This UPS store is very helpful. I make returns, copies, and mail things from this location and I always feel like the employees are helpful. The only Con I can think of is the size. Logan Square is a large neighborhood and this store gets a lot of business. UPS and their costumers would be served if they moved the store to a larger space in the neighborhood. read more

Unfortunately, this is the closest location to me and I continue to torture myself by coming here. The last 5 times I've tried to go drop off a QR code return (over the span of April-august) they said they are unable to take it. Either the computer is down or they are waiting for a new label printer? Always something. One time I went and didn't realize I needed to print the label(my fault). I asked can I pay to have it printed there....they said oh no sorry we don't do that here. You don't print at a printing and shipping store?? Funny enough I went today with two packages one with a label already and one with a QR code. Surprise can't scan the code bc of a label maker issue but they printed my tracking receipt for the other one on a sticker label?? I get stuff breaks but for 4 months and not to mention they aren't even cordial. I will drive the extra distance to the store on Diversey to save myself the headache. read more

i don't mean to be a single issue voter but UPS's website states it charges $.09 to print a black and white page and this is an egregious falsehood. It costs $4 to print a single black and white page. $4. This is because they do not print it out for you, they refer you to a kiosk which costs $3.50 plus tax to use for 4 minutes. The time limitation causes panic since there are no instructions, it's just some ancient dinosaur of a home computer plopped on a plywood stand. The staff here is generally nice, so I think they are specifically told not to help ppl with the print kiosk. When you ask how to use it, they look scared and just point and say, "you have to use the kiosk" like it's some trial they are not allowed to talk about. read more

I've been going to this UPS location for years. They always hustle and are helpful. This Monday I accidentally used my sister's old address to ship Christmas gifts. The manager took my information and had it re-routed to the correct location arriving yesterday in time for Christmas. They were super busy and still got the job done. Staff is unbelievably rude here. The only UPS that refuses to tape your boxes (out of laziness, I assume). I live in the neighborhood and drive all the way to Lincoln Park on clybourn for shipments because I truly never have had a welcoming or helpful experience. You "aren't allowed to tape boxes" yet every other location does? Pathetic. Not to mention, this location did tape a box for me two weeks ago. I wouldn't have waited 15 minutes in line for this lack of service had I known the staff picks and chooses when they want to do their job. read more

Parking is really, really tight at this location. Nevertheless, people are often coming in and out. Unfortunately, it has very little handicap parking, so if you have special needs, I would not recommend coming to the UPS store. Walked in and they didn't greet me. Whatever! The Latina working there it looked very angry and even saw me walk in but said nothing. There was a White guy also working there who saw me walk in but said nothing. I said hi and asked for help with packages and they were very accommodating. But then I had to print out a document. I had a USB so I had to use a computer that they had in their store and it charged by the minute. In addition, it charged per printing. I swiped the card several times in one direction and then I need around and swiped it several times in the opposite direction. When I said that the swipe for the card was not reading my card, the woman behind the counter told me that I had to swipe it facing me. Of course, if they had been paying attention, they would've known that I had done that several times already. She came from behind the booth and took the card for my hand and swipe the card and it worked perfectly fine. I said thank you. But I also said that I've already tried that four times, to let them know that they had a problem with their swipe machine. While it printed the first document out perfectly fine, it did not print out the second one at all. I spent a few more minutes trying to print it out again and again thinking that it had not worked. Another random guy came from nowhere and he was very friendly and helpful. He was Latino. He offered to print out my document from his work printer. I asked about the cost of the time spent trying to print out the document as well as the cost of the papers it never printed out. He dismissed them and said that he would just print out the document for me. It worked out well. I left the store and noticed that the UPS driver had parked in the handicapped spot. It was the only one I had seen in the entire parking lot, but I have not been looking closely. Don't go here. Make your life easier. read more

I have never used UPS until the day I sold my home in another State. I needed a warranty deed notarized along with additional real estate documents. The UPS Store #5744 was informative, provided the necessary requirements I needed for my service. They were also most friendly and the employees became my additional two witnesses that I needed to be present. I also noticed how each employee at this store treated the incoming clients with a well greete"Hello, and how may help you". I was impressed and felt joyful that we still have a business that cares for their clients needs in a professional manner. Store #5744 JOB WELL DONE. Yesterday I came in to get some things printed and laminated. Everyone there was so helpful answering my questions, helping with the computer, letting me use the paper cutter, and all this with smile and patience. I know I was asking for a lot of help and I felt bad. In addition, Alyssa went above and beyond to help with the laminating and getting it done in a timely manner, especially because I needed it in kind of a hurry. She was wonderful! While Alyssa was laminating my stuff, I noticed the other two guys working so hard as well. It was around 4pm when I went in and it got busy and it did not stop the other two guys from having great customer service. Thanks guys for all you do! read more

I had them box and send an item on a Monday morning. A wk f/ the following Saturday, the pkg hadn't arrived. It appeared that a label had been created but that's all, suggesting that the package never left the store. Employees sent a claim to corporate. I reproduced the item I sent, (although one item enclosed is irreplaceable) and had them resend it. THEY CHARGED ME to resend it! No apology, no compensation for the time and effort it took to reproduce the item, no incentive to return to the store in light of the cost and inconvenience. It could take six wks to see if my claim will be accepted and paid. Very disappointed. read more

Is it weird to love going to your local UPS store? These folks are so incredibly friendly, helpful and quick. I use them regularly for amazon returns and sending parcels. They always help me understand the costs and how long it will take to arrive, without making me feel embarrassed for trying to save money (like I often feel with the Logan Square post office). They never charge me for tape (like the Logan Square post office) and often have extra free boxes sitting around that I can use. I highly recommend this place for your shipping needs! read more

Came into buy some packaging and ship out a package. There were no bike racks in front of the store, so I open the door to ask the employees. Everyone in the store acted as though their heads were about to burst off of their body. They couldn't tell me exactly where the bike rack was without acting like complete assholes, and a helpless employee yells at me "take your headphones out so you can hear". I had one ear in, and I had no music playing. I keep it in because it is Bluetooth so i won't lose it. She clearly was unaware but she had to run her mouth. The owner was a loud mouthed idiot too. Do not return unpackaged Amazon items here. I returned a $190 item using Amazon's return option to have the UPS store package and return the item for you. Either this store packaged the wrong item or tampered with the item because Amazon is saying they did not receive the correct item and are refusing to refund me. I absolutely love this store - it's the closest to my house, but I will always go out of my way to use this one no matter what. Each member of their staff is passionate about attention to detail, customer service and keeping their word. On many occasions I know the associates have stayed well passed closing to meet tight deadlines and deliver above and beyond what was asked. They are always ALWAYS super friendly, and even more-so, they know how to de-escalate situations that are going on around them to make it less awkward when the customer in front of you decides to get a little out of hand. I love LOVE this store, and would totally recommend coming here for anything from paper needs, to graphic stuff. They are the BEST. read more

Franky and Greg deserve a particular shout-out because I had a label that printed out ridiculously large. After what looked like some swift origami, it was expertly wrapped around the box so it could be easily scanned- and all while having fun. This afternoon, I went to the UPS Store to ship a defective computer part back to a manufacturer as part of a return exchange. The part I was sending was heavy, but luckily I had kept the original packaging for it, a small, sturdy, and well insulated box with absolutely no damage. When I took in the part, I was thinking about how nice it was that a UPS Store was so close to my apartment and I was considering asking them about accepting incoming packages. The clerk was friendly enough and placed my package on a scale. He then fiddled with the computer for a moment. The numbers that originally showed up on the computer were pretty large, but not all that surprising. I was likely going to have to pay upwards of $30 to have this thing shipped. The clerk asked me if it was original packaging. I said yes. Then he went to a little calculator and added up a new amount and showed it to me. The number was over $50 and he said, "This is what it will cost for shipping AND packaging." "And packaging?" I said. From what I could see, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the box I had brought package with. I asked, "Why do I have to pay for packaging?" "Insurance," he said. The smell of BS on that word was unbelievable. I had only months earlier sent a printer to a customer on eBay in original packaging and no one batted a single eyelash. Amazon routinely sends items in original packaging through UPS. Furthermore, I didn't even think of asking for shipping insurance. "Can't you just send it like it is?" I asked, pointing at my freakishly pristine box. "You can keep it like that, but we won't ship it," he volleyed. What a dick thing to say. "That's a ridiculous price. The part itself is only worth $70." "We won't ship it without repackaging it." I did the only thing I could. I took a deep breath, looked him straight in the eye, walked out, and began thinking of the formal complaint I was about to write. Later on, I looked at UPS's website. They have no objections to sending an item in original packaging. read more

I'm really not sure what the big deal is with printing things out is. UPS has always been able to print things for you if you send it to their email but this specific location makes you pay for computer time plus the cost of the print job which is really annoying when you're just trying to print a label. It just seems like a lot of chaotic energy in this place for some reason. read more

Dude... .39 color copies!!! Whaaattt?!?!?!?! Beats kinko's!!!!! Came in one afternoon and was in and out pretty quickly. They had a paper cutter which was good because I needed to crop most of my copies. Friendly staff too so no complaints here! read more

Returned amazon items here, did not ever receive a receipt from amazon, and the UPS receipt tracking numbers show no shipping progress of the items. Not sure what they scanned when I dropped the items off, but they definitely are not processing amazon returns correctly. read more
