Especially if you have a larger package, and don't have a strict timeframe for the package to arrive, go to USPS. I can't even believe there are any complaints about this UPS store. I've been sending packages through this location now for almost four years. I go in quite often and have come to know all the employees there and they are a very friendly bunch. In the beginning, I was the one always showing up last minute hoping to make the cut off time. Just visited this store to get some shredding done. It's charged by the pound. The woman behind the counter weighed my box and told me the price, including the weight of the box, and would not deduct the weight of the box. I told her I needed the box back and she lost her patience and got another employee to put my things in a bag. I asked to see him place my papers in the locked bin, and he said he didn't have the key, and that my stuff would sit out in the open (with a doc containing my SSN sitting right on top) until they got the key. The woman then turned around from serving another client and told me if I didn't trust them, I could take it elsewhere (I did). Did I have reason to trust them? I don't know them, and I had extremely sensitive papers there. My request wasn't unreasonable. Disappointing experience. read more

12/31/2013 I called your store a couple of times to make sure it was open. No one answered and your voice mailbox said it hadn't been set up yet and it was full, so i figured you guys must be too busy to answer or the phone system wasnt working. i looked on upsstore.com and it said your hours mon-fri were 9am to 7pm. It said nothing about being closed. So I drove there, and what shoud have been a 20 min drive took an hour because of inclement weather and bad traffic. aaaand you were closed. The small store is crowded with customers who are all wearing their masks properly. Given the small and crowded nature of this store, this is a dangerous situation. The store is small and usually crowded but the people that work there are very helpful. I find that for my printing needs this place is cheaper than the other large chain in the area. My only complaint about this location that has nothing to do with this location is the parking lot. I am not sure what idiot designed the lot but cars barely fit in between the lines and in his area people seem a little more challenged than normal. read more

I use these guys as both a drop off for UPS packages and as a mailbox for my business. They are great. They are all really nice and helpful. UPS stores as a whole are a rip off when you use them to send an item. Always print a label at your house and bring a ready to ship box to the store and you will have no problems and save a lot of money. If you need a box and shipping you will pay a lot, but that is what will happen at ANY UPS store. It is how they work. If you have issues with them, across the street and about a half a block away is foodsmart with a 24-7 USPS in it. So that is your other option if you need to ship something and do not print a label at your house. I agree that the parking lot here is terrible. I think they should remove 1 space and make the existing ones larger. read more

It is what it is - you're going to pay more for using them versus using UPS directly because they are a retail location. C'est la vie. But for what it is, they're friendly and nice. It sometimes gets pretty busy but they always have a couple people on staff so they're doing what they can. You can always avoid the lines by paying on ups.com and dropping it off. The problem is the parking lot -- It's like an accident waiting to happen. It's overcrowded and I swear they crammed far more spaces than they should have. The spaces are just so darn narrow!! Aren't their some guidelines on parking space width? and where are all of the people who are parked in that lot? There aren't that many stores --- so I'm thinking a large % of the spots that are taken are by employees. So my advice -- WALK. read more

I've been going here for years. Went in to get something boxed up and shipped. Ups ground to Arizona, $168! I asked to see what I was buying and they were trying to sell me on an oversized rate triple the actual size of what I needed. Went somewhere else and shipped it for $43 instead. If you go here look closely at what they are charging you for and ask questions about it. Not going here again for any reason. read more

This is not a good location. I use them all over the Chicagoland and in Texas. I arrived at the location 15 minutes prior to close and they would not allow me to use the label printing machine. They told me I have to come back the next day. The employee was very rude and not accommodating in any way. I plan on calling their owners and UPS to report. I currently use this location as a mailbox for my business and personal deliveries. The price is extremely affordable for the box and they'll sign for any and all packages. They'll even call you to let you know that something has arrived if you want. Real convenient if you aren't around a lot when deliveries are made. The guys working there are some of the friendliest people you'll come across in the city. There is always enough help that you won't have to wait at all. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I was speaking with one associate and the general manager came up out of no where just to introduce himself and ask if there was any way they could help out. The only downside I would say is that the store itself is a bit cluttered with boxes and sundries. Just makes it feel a little unkempt. All that said they also have a parking lot they share with the other business's so you don't have to double park on the street or jockey for a parking spot somewhere else while you are either sending or receiving a package. The girl upfront was helpful but whoever the older gentleman who came from the back is one unhappy guy. He didn't ask me anything. I was on the phone with the company I was returning merchandise to and since they are a large shipper, they get a discount. UPS was going to charge me $400+ to ship two large boxes. Instead I was able to ship the boxes out with the return company's account for less than $60. The old man snapped at me and told me how it wouldn't help and barked orders about the size of the boxes (since the company used the same boxes to ship them out I'm pretty sure they already knew the info). Not sure if that guys the owner and wanted to get more money from me or If he's just a grumpy old man who shouldn't be in a customer service position. I'll go to fedex in the future. read more

I've become a regular at yet another place. The first time I went in here was to print a resume off at the last minute. I sent the attachment via my phone and I must have looked flustered or frustrated or something because I got my single printed page free of charge (hey, saving 9 cents is saving nonetheless!). Since I live a few blocks away, I do all of my printing here because I am too cheap to buy ink for my own printer (maybe it's because I just spent 4 years in college with free printing). All you do is send an e-mail to the store with what you need printed, show up, and bam! they print it for you! Today I finally sent a package from this location, easy peasy lemon squeezy! I use to love this place I'd email them my files and it would be printed by the time I got to the store. Now they no longer print via email you have to go into the store login and then print the items. I'm sure it's simply because they'll make more money that way but when you're in a hurry its way too much trouble not to mention way more expensive. They allow dogs inside (and in fact, I think have one of their own hanging out there), and they are very laid back and accommodating. Ditto on what Jeff said about them accepting your packages at a PO Box, and you can do this for a month or two, or really just however long you like. It really came in handy when my husband and I were about to get married and were getting giant random boxes from Williams Sonoma all the time.
