The is the worst example of a UPS store. The gentlemen who owns it cares nothing for his customers. He will take personal phone calls while there is a huge line and gives you attitude when it's your turn complaining about you boxing up your return items ALL TO MAKE THE RETURN PROCESS EASIER! If I could, I would give this location zero stars. I had a package rerouted here for delivery as I was to be out of town on the date of original delivery. I received a notice that the package was still at 917 Washington for pickup. When I went there, the man behind the desk took my ID and left to go in the back. When he returned, he proclaimed that he didn't have the package. He then continued on to tell me "the system sucks", "this wasn't his problem" and that he wasn't going to help me locate my package. I am utterly shocked at all the positive reviews this place has gotten. I am stunned this place has "regulars". I will never return to this location. I stopped in to get a document notarized and the lady working (Erika-I asked for her name since I was compelled to write a review) was really friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a great experience. I live closer to a different UPS store, but make an effort to go to this location (937 W Washington) since every time I have stopped in the people working there are noticeably nice and it is always a great experience. Whoever is hiring and training the team at this UPS store deserves recognition, the people there are very kind. I wish more businesses were like this. read more

I go to this Washington Blvd. location for any shipping needs. Lloyd is the manager there and he is my go-to guy for everything! They are personable, professional and QUICK (WITH A SMILE)! They don't have to be but they are and I really appreciate them helping me out when I'm in a crunch. I have been there on two occasions around 8am during the week and they are not open; today I was there at 8:03am and a few months ago it was about 8:30am. When I see a placard in the window that says "Open at 8am" and you are not open that is pretty bad. My suggestion here is to go to one of the other 50 UPS Stores in Chicago as they probably stand behind their hours and customers. read more

The employees are friendly and efficient. You'll see familiar faces every time you go in. I have a personal box here since my building cannot accept packages. I love the service. For a minimal fee, they accept and store my packages. I pick it up when it's convenient for me. I've never had a problem or lost package. I highly recommend this store! read more

I am extremely pleased with their service. I forgot a bag and left it in a restaurant in Chicago about half a mile from the UPS store. The restaurant was not willing to ship the bag to me to Boston, MA. They said pick up only. I called the UPS store from Boston and explained the situation. The store manager Lloyd offered to go to the restaurant and pick up the bag. He did this and then, packed and shipped the bag to me. I believe they don't do this normally. Lloyd went out of the way to help a customer. For this I would give more than 5 stars, if I could. read more

The older man who had assisted me was just amazing! I was double parked because there is never parking in Washington Blvd & was hoping for quick service. That is exactly what I received. It had seemed like he had worked for Ups for quite some time, his fingers were all over the keyboard and did not ask me to repeat myself when given my address or for the receivers address. I was in and out! Also because I rarely ship things out, I was going to buy tape to secure my package but the man offered instantly that he would tape it. He also suggested putting my package in one of there's (mine was in a Nike box, probably not the safest thing to do). Definitely good customer service. read more

I live down the street and there are many options for shipping but I come here all the time because the staff is really friendly and always helpful. They always try to make sure to get you out of there as fast as possible, especially if there is a long line. I ship for a small business and if they see me pull up in my car with multiple boxes, they run out and help me carry the boxes in. I appreciate them always going the extra mile for me! read more

I have lived in the West Loop since 2009 and I cannot sing enough praises about this UPS store and everyone who works there. Loyd, Charles (and every one of their employees) have exceptional customer service. The have always gone above and beyond to help me with literally every service they offer; from PO box services, packing, shipping, printing, sending out regular mail, to purchasing office supplies and a last minute greeting card. This location does and has it all. I'm moving to the University Village area and there are 2 UPS locations in my new neighborhood, but I will always return to my West Loop location no matter what. A week ago, on Monday, I arranged for this store to pick up an item for shipment the next day. Filled out the credit card forms, had everything arranged - with the manager, I will add... he said I would get an email with tracking information when the item was shipped. On Wednesday, I called, as I hadn't received this email. He said he wasn't able to get over to pick the item up. On Thursday, he promised he would get it. On Friday when I called (his day off) the other employee said they were "really busy" and that someone would go over there the next Monday. I explained that I needed the shipment done when I asked for it. A week late won't work, as the recipient won't be able to receive the shipment when they say they'll finally ship it!!!! Isn't UPS all about reliability? I would never trust this location to ship something again. The value of the shipment was $3000 - relieved now that these people are not going to handle my business - never ever ever! read more
