I have been using the Cohasset UPS store since it opened years ago. The last year or so I have gotten attitude from one of the older employees who seems uninterested in helping the customers. I brought in a return from Amazon, which didn't require me to wrap or provide a label. When I came in the store they asked me for a label, which I didn't need to have - I just had the code from Amazon - I told them this and the employee was really put out by it - and said well I'll have to generate one then - they knew darn well that they have to pack the item, label and send it.This person was very rude as I handed over the package. I said thank you, nicely and received no response at all. Several weeks before this the same employee was supposed to be helping to train a summer employee, a young man, and started chastising him in front of customers, loudly. He was humiliated. this is not the way to run a business - very unprofessional. New owners? This particular person is either the owner/manager or related to the owner and is lazy and does not want to do their job. they should not be working here. The rudeness and disinterest in the job is unacceptable ! I have never had a problem before this employee started working there. Im sure if the owner is reading this review, he or she knows exactly who this person is. They need to be terminated - that's how bad this person is at their job. Apparently this Ups location doesn't need the customers nor the money. Its disgraceful how the customers are treated by her. I've never had a good experience here. Staff is not very welcoming or helpful. I use it now only to drop off pre-labeled UPS shipments.

Don't bother wasting your time; unless you care less about being treated like you are annoying them. I walked in 7 minutes before closing and would have thought it was 7 hours past closing. I simply needed to print my electronic label and then put bubble wrap around the item I was shipping because I already had the box. Yet the guy behind the counter said it couldn't be done then, I would have to come back in the morning. Awesome! Put it this way, I was back home in Norwell 7 miles away at 6:31. They closed at 6:30 or at least that's what the sign says. Don't bother! read more

Went there today to return a package to amazon. I had the tracking # from Amazon, but not the shipping label. They said I needed to get some rvc code from Amazon, so I call Amazon and they couldn't give me any code, but emailed me the shipping label. So I go back inside UPS with the label on my cell phone and they tell me they can't do anything with it, that I need to bring them a printed version. So I say how do I do that. I'm told to use the credit card computer at the front of the store to access my email then print it. I swipe my card and the computer rental timer starts. Time is money, right. There were 4 employees doing nothing and I can't figure out how to access my email from a computer without an email application. Nobody watching me asks if I need any help when I was obviously frustrated. The more time I spend on the computer the more it costs me and the more income they make. This is a service business and their service stinks. I had to take my package and go home. I will NEVER use them again.Really frustrating!!!!!! read more

I work for an international franchisor and we often need notaries. Gary has been hugely helpful on the Notary front, even setting aside a specific time for us to sit down so that we can do dozens at a time. I find it easier to work locally with Gary than any notaries in downtown Boston near my office. read more

Just posted a review on Consumer Affairs UPS as well. I run a small business in Florida. Here on vacation and needed to send payroll checks. I wanted to use Fedex but we opted for UPS. We paid $22.40 for guaranteed 2 day delivery for pay day Thursday by noon. We tracked the checks only to find out on pay day, that two day was going to be 3 day. No checks for my people. I called Mike at the store to find out, well things happen. So people there is NO GUARANTEE. He filed a claim and if approved by UPS (what a joke), I will receive a refund in 5 business days. I asked about the liability of bounced checks by my employees expecting their paychecks on time. UMMM, we could file for additional losses. Go FEDEX people. read more

My husband and I are in the middle of moving and needed some very treasured antique family photos in the original frames packaged and boxed for storage. The pictures are all shapes and sizes. We brought them into The UPS Store in Cohasset to see if they had any ideas on box sizes, protective wrapping, etc. We were VERY impressed! They knew exactly what needed to be done to keep these family heirlooms safe. We are excited to hang these pictures in our new home, but until then we know they are safe. read more
