Imagine my surprise to have the cherry on top of cheery, lovely service every.single.time. I come in (which is fairly frequently). The business appears to be family owned, and they've got a litany of other services I wouldn't hesitate to ask for, if needed. Whenever I have a package to pickup, it's always quick, efficient, and with a smile- what more could you ask for? U-Haul scam - stay away!…read more I rented a box truck from this 3rd party U-Haul location in January 2024 (EZ Ship off Academy). After returning the truck, the shop manager charged an exorbitant "fuel" charge in the amount of $53. I drove less than 40 miles. I called the store manager to inquire about the fuel charge. Their response was that I should not have placed keys in the drop box, and that I should have physically entered the store to return the box truck. The manager then said that it was likely that another individual siphoned fuel from the truck after it was dropped of at the store. The manager said that I was responsible for someone siphoning fuel out of the truck while the truck was on the store's property, and after the truck had been locked with keys placed in the lockbox. After pleading my case the manager refused to offer a refund, citing a u-haul policy (which was not reviewed adequately during time of contract signing). This experience was extremely disappointing, stay away! Fuel charge will be disputed with CC company and complaint will be submitted to U-Haul.

While I was gone, my friend, who stayed behind with the item, told me she overheard Silva and another employee talking about me. When I mentioned this to Silva directly, she responded with a scrunched, passive-aggressive expression and a curt "have a good day." As I was walking out, I heard further comments from the employees behind me. Separately, we were directed to dispose of packing material in a dumpster around back that was in poor, unsanitary condition. She showed me my return info was incorrect, there isn't a Whole Foods within miles of me and on one I said I had a box and label and I didn't. I stayed there and reset my refund/return info. In the meantime the store had filled up. She took care of everyone, one at a time, in a timely manner yet no one was rushed. We then finished up my returns.
