They weren't busy when I came. I had two amazon returns. Amazon instructed me to put my items in a box so I used the packaging they both came in. I was informed by the agent that I had to have the boxes taped. He said they could do it for me for a dollar!! I was aghast! I paid the dollar since I had to drive to get to the store. I don't know if this is a store policy or UPS. Either way it is appalling! Now, several weeks later Amazon is contacting me saying they did not receive my return and want me to pay for it! After an hour on the phone with Amazon they resolved it saying that it was still in transit. The kind of experience that will keep be from going to that store. PS.. I dropped in a couple days ago to return Amazon purchases. One of the returns was in a box with a label attached, but two corners of the label needed additional tape. The service clerk said "that will be a $1.00, is that ok?" To which I said "noooo" and was stunned about such a charge. I kind of thought he was joking. He went ahead and added some tape the label. Then he told me he wasn't kidding and that I owed him $1.00. I told him that I had said I was not ok with this and he backed down. He was friendly enough and seemed efficient (the location was busy with tow people being helped and two additional people ahead of me. He did seem concerned with getting people moved through). Those are good things to do, but don't work on behalf of the cooperate overlord to charge struggling people $1 for two pieces of tape! That is not ok! No wonder the CEO of UPS is personally bringing in millions of dollars per year. If you think it's reasonable to charge $1 for two pieces of tape, then you are definitely overcharging on every service you offer. read more

This store has very poor customer service. Two or three months ago I was not permitted to use my own tape to tape up a box inside the store instead I had to tape my box or on the sidewalk. Today I drop by with a fully taped box and the sales person needed to get inside to get a code off of the item I was returning she cut the box open and then wanted another two dollars to re-tape the box. read more

There was an incident I witnessed 08/09/23 while standing in line at the Circle Blvd location in Corvallis, OR. I don't know if this person was a manager (individual with long black hair, glasses and tattoos on forearms), but she twitted another employee at another register about not advancing the next customer to her register. The other employee replied that she wasn't finished with what she needed to do with the package from the previous transaction. To which the first party replied that she should make conversation while she was finishing. All this was said very loud and condescendingly, while there was a whole lobby full of patrons. Effectively making it very awkward for everyone standing in line, and without doubt embarrassing that other employee. I've been thinking about this for a couple days, and it bothered me enough to say something. I feel bad for that employee, and hope that this isn't their experience day in and day out, when it is hard to find people to fill positions. I appreciate that person's efforts and existence at that location, as it enables us to have better timely service in such an establishment, and during such times as these. The offending individual could have stepped aside and whispered something to the other employee if it was that important to her to convey that message in the moment, rather than embarrassing the fellow worker. You could tell it made the employee uncomfortable, the way it all unfolded. Anyway, it was just a Highly unprofessional situation that I did not enjoy. read more

Go here to simply drop a package and you will have to stand in line, often times outside only to be told that you need an appointment (for notary services) or need different packaging which they can sell you at ridiculous prices, $50 for a box????? They are the most UNhelpful staff, they will not let you use their scissors because it's a liability??? If they had useful signage such as "please call to make an appointment", it would be smart of them....but clearly they are lacking in that department but not in the attitude department as one of their signs says, "NO PACKAGE DROP OFF....WE HAVE NOT DONE THAT IN YEARS" and "If copier isn't working, please ask employee INSTEAD OF JUST PUSHING A BUNCH OF BUTTONS!' So unprofessional. If you are in way too good of a mood and in need of having a bad day, I highly encourage you to stop by this UPS store location for your wishes granted, they won't disappoint. I was really disappointed in the service I received at this location today. I came in with 5 amazon packages to return and had selected the option to pay $1 to print each label in the UPS store, which was one of a couple UPS options amazon had available. When I arrived I was helped by Kali who told me each label would cost $2 to be printed. I tried to ask a couple questions but she cut me off each time saying that amazon does their own thing and that I had to pay this $2 amount for each label. I ended up just paying the amount because she was being so rude and would let me speak. I'm not writing this review because of this UPS store's policy, if that is indeed the policy, but I'm not confident that Kali understood the scenario because she wouldn't listen to what I was saying. read more

The only thing this store has going for it is the strength of the UPS brand. I've given this store ample opportunities over 4 years to change my mind about their customer service, and I've left feeling disappointed almost every time. They say they offer notary services, but their notary is at-best unhelpful and lacks any sense of customer service. I walked in with my paperwork prepped and ready and was turned away in a strangely unhelpful and abrupt fashion. You want notary services? Go to the Oregon State Credit Union. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and worked with a helpful and friendly notary. If all you're looking for are basic UPS services, you're probably ok, but even then, don't expect their staff to go the extra mile for you. And don't expect "service with a smile". You're getting service under their rules. Very disappointing experiences, particularly for a small town store where you would think customer service would be a strong point. Only reason I would come back is the ease of dropping off a UPS return and even then, I'll be purposely looking elsewhere. read more

Cassidy saved the day! After numerous phone calls to the UPS 1-800 # directing me to call the store and the store saying no the ups # has to do that Cassidy graciously got on a 3 way call with me and a supervisor at the call center and made the intercept happen that needed to happen. Despite my dwindling patience she remained calm, concise and yet firm..by the time the 3-way call came around I was at my wits end and devastated at the financial loss of losing this item. Cassidy stood up for me and remained compliant with what UPS was needing and went further to ask questions I hadn't even thought of yet. What a horrible place to do business with! They somehow "lost" my UPS overnight package and then 4 days later shipped it. I called them-no call back, I called the UPS rep who said she could do nothing because this store is not UPS-they just buy the name. They are dis-honest and unethical. Bad bad staff. They steal your packages and mock customers openly to their face. While I was in line an old woman came inside with a package that was accidentally delivered to her (she was being nice, making sure it got to the right address). The kid behind the counter was rolling his eyes and making snide remarks directly at her, and when she left he proceeded to rant to me about how dumb she was (with other customers in line). I gave him my package to ship, made sure it was processed and put in the back with the other outgoing packages, then I told him that she was just being nice and it was extremely unprofessional of him to be doing any of this, and maybe he should take this into consideration. (At this stime I started recording with my cellphone, discretely). He sarcastically thanked me, then started ripping into me on a very personal level, escalating internally until finally invited me to leave the premises ...immediately. (I was extremely calm this whole time, recording the whole thing, and he was getting extremely flustered, taking in circles). He kept escalating and threatened to call the police (for me asking him to be more professional, haha)... wait it gets better. I let him know I was recording the whole thing and that he should be thinking about how to explain this to his boss. I left the store, drove across the street and called corporate UPS to see what the owners name and number was... at that time I realized he had my package and might do something to it, so I drove back to the store, just as I pulled up I saw him leaving out the door... WITH MY PACKAGE IN HIS HANDS!! (No delivery truck in sight, no other packages, no reason at all to be leaving the store.. it'd been over an hour since I was there). asked if it was my package and he stumbled on his words, so I grabbed my package from him and asked what the hell he was doing... no response for a while, then he started saying he was bringing it back out to me (really?? I wasn't even there yet when he came out.. he must be telepathic). I drove off, my package in hand, called UPS Corporate, explained the whole story, and that I had it all on video. They said it's very serious and the owner would contact me very soon, probably the next day. I's been 5 months and still no contact. Kid is still working there - I do other business nearby. I use the UPS store in Philomath (different owner). Stealing USPS mail is a federal offense - but I guess the owner of this UPS store doesn't think it's a big deal. read more

Also, they really don't understand much of anything except the returns from Amazon. This is all I use them for and only because the Philomath UPS store is way out of the way. However, if I want something done well and feel fairly secure that everything is going to end up where it is supposed to and in the same shape, I go to Sean and the UPS Store by the Safeway on Highway 34. I've been using their services for 10 years and have been highly satisfied. They go above and beyond. I have a mailbox there and am there LITERALLY EVERY DAY. Never had a problem. Only have had great service and attitude. I've no idea why there are those bad reviews but would like to point out to folks that they are doing YOU a favor to take your package with pre-paid label. They get nothing from that service. Don't expect them to give you free supplies, you are already freeloading on their business. Just saying! as a fellow biz owner. I would give 0 stars if I could. I shipped a month ago. I asked for insurance because it was fragile. The girl at the counter told me that I didn't need insurance and that anything under 100 dollars would be covered. Long story short, the package arrived broken. I submitted proof of value, proof of purchase and pictures of the broken part. They will not return my calls, the manager has been out for a month and they will not help me at all. I will have to refund the money to my purchaser out of my own pocket. They are liars and thieves! read more

I only come here to drop off my returns for Amazon. Staff have been friendly so far, but I don't have much interaction with them besides to hand them my package. Last employee told me that if it's already sealed + label then you can just leave it near the left side of the counter. Also, if you're returning stuff on Amazon and they said it's free to print your return label at the UPS store, that's incorrect. I had thought it was and when I came to the store they charged me a printing fee. I would recommend printing your return label at home and just drop off your package. read more

Branson was an absolute wonder. Came in to ship a lifetime's worth of clothing, brought in 15 trash bags STUFFED with clothes and DVDs, and was greeted with a smile and customer service with no hesitation at all. The staff here are very rude and don't respect the policies of UPS. Despite the email I received from UPS saying someone other than the addressee can pick up a package if they have the tracking number, the staff here refused to hand it over. Instead they mailed the package back to the sender. We tracked the package to the UPS distribution facility in Albany and they kindly handed over the package right away. So, this location needs to get their policies straight with UPS, and they should definitely not be so unyielding and discourteous when I have email proof that UPS permits package pickup in that circumstance. Don't use this location if you think your package pickup is going to be the least bit complicated! read more

Nope. Don't do it. You don't want a private mailbox here. Yes, they have some available and the other places in town are all booked up. There's a reason they always have mailboxes available. NO DON'T DO IT. Keep checking Pakmail or USPS or the Philomath UPS store for availability instead. The other places will be cheaper (by a lot) and competently run, and actually send you notices to your email, and have the address you specify with them on record (vs whatever is on your drivers license - sucks to be you if you just moved to town, eh??). read more

I processed a return and was given a prepaid label. I taped the box up and took it to the store. I asked to get a sticker for the shipping label and I was told they did not have any, and I needed to buy tape. The shipping label holder (sticker) is listed as a free item on the UPS website. I told them I would not buy tape, and left the package at the store, with the label. As of today, the package has not been shipped. I assume they have taken the contents home to use in the sweet pads they own and paid for with the money selling all that tape. I contacted customer care, and the store. No reply. So I contacted the company I bought the package from. They refunded my return. I trained the commercial team for their competitor for 5 years in 30 countries, so some points of clarification on this sticky tape issue: 1) They need to have a sticker to store the shipping label for international shipments. Many countries need to be able to access the airwaybill, the invoice, and the terms of sale/carriage for the shipment to make it through customs. This can only be done with an adhesive container for a label so that the papers can be pulled out by customs without need to open the package. So they were either out of them (not likely), or lying. 2) Many countries REQUIRE the boxes be open when they are dropped off at the counter so employees can check for bombs, or contraband. The liability of taping boxes that was claimed to other customers is just not true. 3) Even if the owner REALLY was afraid of some liability, there is nothing stopping them from providing tape to customers. An exceptionally cheap product much below the cost they charge for the tape at the store. 4) UPS has the lowest cost per shipment of all major express delivery companies, yet this store thinks it cannot afford to provide tape despite the fact that their competitors can. With these facts, it is my opinion that the tape policy this store has is just a ploy to sell extra accessories and increase their profit margins. I doubt my review will change anything because it surely is a boon to their bottom like. I just hope the rest of you customers consider use of this store. After this experience, I will opt to schedule a pickup for my packages rather than drop them off at the store. read more

I don't really think this location is that terrible, although my experience was limited to a 5-or-so-minute interaction. But I had a good chuckle when both employees referenced their awful Yelp rating, which I had noticed before walking in. I think they may be on to something as being the worst UPS Store in the country, so I'm happy to contribute to their collective disdain. read more
