He assisted me in getting the info I needed on my phone to mail my package. He was very patient and helpful. I would not he been able to complete my task without his assistance. I was sent to staples first and they were unable to ship my return. I called amazon and they emailed what was needed for Kollen to complete my return. He is an excellent representative for this UPS location and has great people skills read more

My sister and I recently needed to pack and ship some heirloom furniture to the Seattle area. I called seven local UPS stores. Only two said they could do the work, and only Zack at the Daphne store seemed to be enthusiastic about it. Zack and his colleagues did an amazing job of packing the furniture. These days I do everything I can to avoid this place, including standing in line at the tiny (sometimes moody) Spanish Fort Post Office. I had gotten used to the no-rush, no-smile attitude of the people here. I had even adjusted to the unnecessary steps involved in every little transaction. The 10% discount for us AARP members is OK, but they actually have to manually enter in the card information which is sllloooowww and applies to almost nothing. It was eventually the pricing and the fact they are UPS-only that turned me away. To wrap a returned rug in plastic was $22 and the rug was $40. I went to Office Depot across the street, spent $3 in packaging, was in and out quickly and had some really nice people help me roll that rug up. At OD I was also able to get a few office items I needed. The UPS Store is a pass. read more

I was finally getting around to shipping my baby neice's first pair of flip flops, my nephew's new rubber chicken (I get him one every year. It's our thing.), and my mom's birthday present. I was all proud and accomplished walking into the UPS Store. The guy working was helpful and friendly. We started to get it all packed up and check out. The shipping was to be $23, which wasn't bad. Then he told me the charge for the box was $15. This is a normal cardboard box; the kind they give away at grocery stores. FIFTEEN DOLLARS for a cardboard box! If I'm going to pay $15 for a cardboard box, it better be full of furry little puppies with puppy breath! Needless to say, I politely told him "thank you, but I think I'll go find my own box and come back." He laughed and said that a lot of people do that. Dang, UPS, I'm pretty sure Fred Smith gives away Fed Ex shipping supplies. Consider doing the same, or at least price them reasonably. read more

Moved from out of state. Needed Temp. Address until house closing. The employees are ALL wonderful, friendly and helpful. Owner is very sweet and when he wasn't able to help me, he didn't abandon me, he had his incredible manager (I don't remember her name) call me and follow up. Staff was very friendly, the location is key and fast to get to but prices are a little high. I still can't believe I paid over $3 for an envelope. Plus side is they'll get your stuff to it's next destination. Will return soon. read more

Way Over Priced independent store. I had to have something shipped to Florida and needed a very small box maybe 10"x10" thinking it would be around or close to usps. Wrong they charged me $10 for a small thin box that did not include shipping so I went ahead and pulled the trigger . About 5 days later the company shipped it back to me also using ups but accidentally sent it to the store instead of my home address. So I drive up to the usp store to pickup my small package shipped back via ups and they charged me $10 to pickup my package. I decide to ask them why and the older gentleman replies They Have to Keep the Lights On... Yes that was his reply and at that point I was livid. Why should it cost me to pickup from the same carrier I used to ship it and have it returned shipped? Absolutely Ridiculous!! They will NEVER have my business again after that. Stay Far Away from this so called UPS Store that has rude employees and a total Rip Off... read more

I had a wedding ring shipped with two day delivery shipped out on May 9th. I attempted to specify a shipping window through the MyUPS service, but it was not allowed. The delivery attempt for the signature package was around 1:30 P.M. I tried again to specify a delivery window, but the only other option other than having the ring delivered at the same time the next day was to have it available for pickup at a local UPS location. I had my fiance attempt to pick it up, but it was taken to Robertsdale that evening instead of the specified pickup point. The next day, the package was delivered at 12:30 P.M. at the pickup location. My fiance, who has received packages from UPS at our home, and is present on myUPS account, attempted to pick up the package, and it was refused as our names did not match for security reasons, and notified her that the package had to be picked up that day or it would be returned to sender; however, despite these reasons, it wasn't important to alert the recipient of someone trying to pick up or possibly steal the package. I called customer service, and it turns out that even armed with photo ID for both of us, the receipt from the ring itself, which included shipping, paid bills, etc., customer service noted that it was store discretion to make exceptions to policies, even with an overwhelming amount of evidence, and yet the store did not attempt to call me despite someone present with a truckload of my personal information and identification trying to potentially steal my package. The customer service representative suggested I miss work to pick up the package, as the only available delivery time would be 1:30 P.M. So instead I had a doctor cover my shift so I could personally pick up the ring one minute before they closed. Aside from the package being delayed for normal reasons, and delivery options being limited for exceptional and technical reasons, and a store policy more strict than HIPPA, what merits the one star is the negligence to alert me of potential theft or fraud despite feeling the need to fall back on a security policy. read more
