The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Dillon, Colorado

We shipped three boxes of Christmas items exactly one week before Christmas. Based on past shipping experience, the normal ship time from Colorado to Texas is 2 business days. We were told that we would have to ship via UPS select, at a total cost of $200 for the three relatively small boxes, to ensure before Christmas delivery. As it turns out, the boxes all arrived two days after shipping, just as our previous experience indicated. We could have saved about $100 on shipping costs if we had shipped normal UPS ground rather than UPS select, as suggested by the store employees. I hope the store franchisee enjoys his extra Christmas bonus. read more

Went in do drop off an Amazon prepaid return, with the scan code printed off on a piece of paper. A gal, the self-proclaimed "store manager" told me should could only scan the code from an email in a phone. I don't use my phone for email, which is exactly why I print out the return code. She said it was a new and strictly enforced Amazon policy. Now, 1st of all, what the hell is the difference, it's the same amount of work to scan from a phone as to scan from paper? When I challenged her, she got quite angry and said the store would no longer accept returns from me. Went home, called both Amazon and UPS, and they both told me there is no such requirement or policy, and that she is apparenly making up her own store rules. Don't come here - tried to ship our boxes of ski gear back to CA on our way to the airport. Posted hours say they open at 8:30. Waited until 9:00am. Multiple people came and went trying to get inside to ship packages. We had to leave and find another ups store, luckily in time to make our flight. Went in today with pre-label boxes and the lady with short blond hair and unique earrings acted like I was completely irritating her by being there. Refused to give me a receipt! I get it, UPS wants to go green, but when you have a business you like to have a receipt when you ship something. She completely refused to give me one. With Christmas shopping and being gone all day when I checked out from an online Gap purchase one option was to pick up at a UPS store so I selected it. I picked up my packages and was told I should pay them for this service, they said they're a small store and don't have the space for this, etc...I explained that it was just one of the shipping options when I checked out on Gap.com so they need to talk their corporate office or Gap not me. We left my son's favorite baseball hat at the Baymont Hotel. Thankfully they had it, but requested my credit card to ship it back. (cheap hotel, can't expect them to pay for shipping). A week after I called, the UPS store changed me $32.08 for shipping it back to California. As soon as I saw the charge I called and asked why so much, it's less than a pound and could fit in a 9 x 12 envelope. USPS Priority mail would have cost $5.95, and maybe $2-3 for an envelope. I checked UPS rates for a 2lb package and it was around $11. The UPS store told me that they packaged it in a rather large box 12 x 9x 4? which cost $3.99 and the rest was shipping charges. I told them to forget it, keep his hat, and refund my money. When I called back again to make sure they credited my account, I was told I still had to pay for the packaging and other fees and was only credited around $24. What a scam. Of course I'm never returning to this store since I don't live in the area, but when I have a choice with shipping companies, UPS is the LAST on my list. read more

prior to the recent change in management, i received my mail at the UPS store (formerly mailbox etc.) for close to 20 years. Since the change in management my mail is not being put in my box. I have only received three pieces of mail in three months and none in the last seven weeks. This is impossible as I usually receive approximately 20 pieces of mail per month. Since the new management has taken over staff has turned over several times. They insist that they are not throwing away the mail however my mail has definitely disappeared. Multiple trips to the location have not resulted in finding it nor have multiple calls. Given the circumstances I cannot recommend this location for anyone. do not go here if you want your mail. read more

We often use this store and the staff is usually friendly, however, there is a lady working there now who is absolutely awful. White lady, short blondish curly hair, large plastic glasses, tattooed arm. I didn't get her name or I'd share it. She is utterly rude, acting like doing her job is a nuisance. We get it, you have essentially a monopoly for these tasks in the area but customer service still matters. I hope that the owner &/or manager of this location take a hard look at what is going on in this store. Maybe a secret shopper would be helpful. If I could give 10 stars I would. The staff is friendly, courteous, kind, approachable, and funny. Not to mention professional. If you live on this side of the county, it's the absolute best bet for a post office box. 1000% better than any of the local federal post offices. Great Customer Service, and they do have a fee for holding packages if you don't have a postal box there, if you do you can receive as many packages as you need. lots of ppl get confused with whatever fees they pay to the seller (Amazon, or any other sellers) with the fees for using this Ups address to ship their packages, is like using ur neighbors address because they don't deliver at yours and paying him a fee per example... ppl who doesn't want to pay fees always have the option to send this to the UPS warehouse in Silverthorne. I am visiting from out of town so maybe I came on the wrong day but my experience was very awkward at this store. It started by having a very aggressive dog bark loudly at me as I entered. Once inside there was a small line, nothing crazy and as I waited in line another associate came from the back and approached eager to help. However what I assume was the manager asked his associate to return to the back of the store. The associate insisted on helping me and the manager raised his voice at his associate demanding he listen. All of this while the dog continued to bark at me and others in the store. UPS store at Dillon, CO review- While Juan was full time managing the store the customer service was excellent. Now that Juan is hardly at the store, customer service and service are poorly managed by unkowleagble employees. They don't know how to send packages through the USPS, I had to go to another store in order to send my package. Packages arrive, notification is not sent to us. We go there to pick up packages and find we don't get them all. Twice,recently, we have got home and found through the tracking that the packages were delivered to the store. Basically service is poor these days. read more

They did a fantastic job wrapping it up (double boxes, bubble wrap, etc), shipped it quickly, and it was much cheaper than I had expected.
