I was just at this store location and I was in the store before it closed, however, the clerk there refused to help me or the two other ladies who just needed to drop off packages. He told us that the store closed at 7:00pm and it was 7:03 and we all had been waiting for him and the other clerk to help us. So, instead he made us leave...even though we were in the store before closing. Very disappointing customer service since there was absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is literally the worst courier service front ever. Take a flight and drop off your off package but don't bother these tortoises. My overnight package was two days delayed and not delivered-The guy manning the store made unnecessary irrelevant excuses - how there is no guarantee etc - seemed super nonchalant about following up on status. To boot, he was kicking out anyone with a dog rudely- we helped two Asian ladies by watching their dogs while they dropped off their packages. These dogs were all hypoallergenic So not sure what the fuss was about. read more

Lanissa from the Edgewater store is the most unprofessional employee I've ever dealt with. I spent over $112 for next day air shipping that was delivered 3 days later. I called the store for a refund and was treated with absolute disrespect. Not only did I not get a refund for guaranteed service but she also hung up on me. I called numerous times thereafter but was unable to get a hold of anyone from the store. She should be fired and removed from her position for such unprofessional mannerism and poor customer service. read more

A horrible business with no work ethics. I paid for expedited shipping to Delaware and was "promised" it would arrive by the next day as I went into this establishment in the MORNING of shipping. The box has not left the premises as of the following day. WHAT? I tried calling this store 18 times during the day and no one answered. I called the 800 UPS number and they apologized and said some locations do not honor what they say. Well, that does me no good. I paid, in good faith, for next day delivery and it was not honored. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. The absolute worst UPS location. DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR PACKAGE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR ITEM STOLEN. I dropped off an important package for work. My boss requested overnight shipping, which we paid a lot of money for. Long story short, a month later the package is nowhere to be found. When I call the corporate office they tell me the package never left the store. The label was created and my package was never picked up by a driver. They told me that I have to take up the claim with this location directly. Well, dealing with the actual store is a nightmare. They either don't pick up, have an attitude, or know the system so well, that they've boldly taken the package themselves. I will never ever go to this location again. They are arrogant, rude, thieves, and they should all be fired and the location closed. Even the manager is useless. If you don't like the service, wait time, and/or understand that you can't ship items for pennies on the dollar, then don't ship through UPS. I prefer UPS over any other delivery service, and I had no issues with this particular store until today. I picked up two packages tonight, both of which I received emails from both UPS and my shipper confirming that my packages were delivered to this store. I said two packages to the employee and he only brought out one. I repeated that I was there for two, and he rudely said that there was only one. I told him that I had two emails - one from UPS and one from the shipper - confirming that the package was delivered today. Then he got really nasty and said, "The website is not always accurate, what do you want from me?!" Fortunately his manager stepped in, and this employee was also rude to him - who gets away with being overly rude to their manager? Anyway, his manager typed in my tracking number and found the package immediately. Look, misunderstandings and mix-ups are normal. But if you work in customer service, then you have absolutely NO excuse to be rude to your customers. Just quit if you can't deal and be rude to your parents as you mooch off of them for the rest of your life. read more

I had to drop off a return to UPS at the end of the day. I also had a box to return to USPS. I called in advance and was a bit upset that they said they wouldn't take my USPS box because it was the end of the day. I dropped off the UPS box - they were friendly but had to race down the street to drop the other box off at the post office. Wasn't very convenient. read more

Been a long time customer at this location. Came in right before closing on Wedneday trying to get an important package out, only to be turned away by the employee, claiming "that the systems shut down at 6:30." Really? This employee, Al, couldn't even be straight with me and tell me that he didn't want to take last minute customers, he just had to make up a pathetic excuse to turn me away. Wasn't even the first bad interaction I've had with him, but will certainly be the last. The store is organized, but the shipping/packaging is pricey. I recently shipped something from here only to have it damaged upon receipt. Despite telling them of the delicate nature of the package (and wrapping it in layers of bubble wrap etc.) , the package was never marked "Fragile." Fortunately, I took out insurance (which they honored). Overall, the customer service in-store was friendly, but pricey, and the actual shipping service turned out to be pretty abusive to the package. I'd use UPS again only if really forced to. read more

Thought I could have my packages delivered safely here. Was great in the summer. Owner is great, very nice. But I had an Amazon package delivered here and picked it up while the owner was away, and suddenly my package goes missing. Received an email, but never the paper receipt for pickup. Went there to check after a week and the owner says my package is logged in the system as having been signed for me. No way to get a refund or report it stolen. Beware thieves. Trust UPS or USPS better than these middlemen mailboxes. The convenience will cost you money in lost or stolen packages. read more

Checked price on UPS for shipping a large package, entered in exact size, weight and zipcoes. Went to the Edgewater UPS and the shipping charge was $16 more than what the website quoted. Questioned clerk about it and was told all kinds of things - only an estimate, my weight wrong (it was not), it is not our website (workers had UPS shirts on, everything said website). Then they told me they are not UPS. Took the package to Staples and shipped via UPS their and the cost was exactly what website quoted.
