Stopped in to drop off a couple Amazon returns. It turns out that Thursday afternoon (the day after Christmas) is a great time if you're trying to avoid crowds. Lol I didn't get the gentleman's name who helped me at the counter. I accidentally mixed up the two packages that he scanned for me, but he quickly resolved it without issue. I wish I got his name because he provided excellent customer service and was quite cheerful. Even with my mixup, I was in and out of there within a few minutes . Another thing I noticed on my drop off package receipt, is that they provide a discount code for some of their services. Their prices are already reasonable, so this is a nice little bonus. Another bonus is that Petra falafel recently opened. I grabbed one of their take-out menu so that I can easily order from them in the future. read more

This is the worst store ever. I went to return two Amazon returns, in the original Amazon shipping boxes. The manager (Alex) whom was at the register told me. "Amazon wont accept these in the original shipping packaging" I responded " that is the silliest thing I have ever heard." So I unpacked the two items and swapped boxes. "There, no longer in the appropriate shipping package. He then said, this needs to be double boxed, you can buy a box here. I said, it didnt ship to me double boxed. He responded "i'm also not re-taping your package" This is not a free tape store. You can purchase tape from me, but i'm still not shipping the one not double boxed. Are you kidding me. Its so sad its comical. If Alex was 17 years old with no work experience, and no idea how to treat a customer. I could understand. But he was a manager in his 40's. I will never return to this location again and I will also be informing UPS corp about how their franchises treat their clients. read more

Fabulous customer service! I had a yard sign printed. It did not come out as well as I hoped. A quick email to them and they were super nice and eager to redo the sign. COVID19- November 2020 Two visits in one day and the experiences were polar opposites which is the reason for the 3 star rating. In the am, the rep never used words. She beckoned me up, pointed to the scale, held out her scanner and didn't respond when I asked how her day was going to break the ice after the non verbal exchanges. I had to ask a second time followed by "are you able to hear me" to which she replied, I wasn't paying attention and couldn't see your lips moving because of the mask. Haha. Late afternoon was like a completely different place. Super nice staff. A young man helped with copies and a female notarized my document for $2. Both were pleasant, welcoming and thanked me. The customer experience is certainly largely dependent on staff recognizing that we all have BAD days or moments. I'd without question return but would certainly prefer to interact with staff who will use words as opposed to gestures only. read more

Customer service was absolutely terrible. They couldn't help me with what I needed, which was completely fine. But the problem is the attitude from the lady working there today. She seemed like she did not want to help at all. Immediately shut me down and pretty much said go anywhere else. She was all laughs and smiles with another white customer but as soon as she saw me (a Hispanic male) her face turned serious and her tone completely changed. I dropped a few packages last week at this UPS store. The employee double scanned one of the labels, and the package that was not scanned has been lost. Excellent customer service. I had a college sign designed and they did a beautiful job. However, there was a little damage during the printing. The manager decided to give it to me without charging me. The integrity of the store manager and the pleasantness of the staff will definitely make this my "go-to" store for future services. read more

i came into this establishment with my very obvious disabled grandmother over the past weekend and was served by two young hispanic males. i can confidently say it was the worst service i have ever experienced in my life, and i've only been alive 18 years! they seemed more adamant on goofing off in the back than helping customers in the front. also, i smelled some sort of scent coming off of them, very strongly might i add. they were most definitely underage and working, what i thought, would be an adult place of work. but unfortunately is run by a bunch of incompetents. the two hispanics and the older non-english speaker all seemed untrained and very unprofessional in the way they spoke to me and acted towards my disabled grandmother. they laughed, made jokes, and made noises towards her. when all she was doing was trying to mail a package like any other normal customer. very disappointed with this generation. Horrible service. I went there to have a hard drive sent back to the manufacturer with a label I had the store print out. The worker sent my drive to another location and although the District Manager was apologetic and was offering to reimburse me for a new drive, I have been CHASING him for at least 3 weeks to get my money back on something they lost. I'm trying not to write this review but i believe for the evil to stay is just to be quiet. Today, I was so humiliated by Rachel, In Elmhurst, UPS, I came at 9am just trying to send some home made head covering for my granddaughter and her fiancé who volunteer to help CViD hospital in New York . When I show her the address on a piece of paper, she told me not to , because she don't want my germs. I'm wearing a mask, don't understand why she told me those words. I decide to cancel and go to another UPS In Lombard. The manager named Bob is very helpful ! I hope the rude behavior of that UPS named Rachel will not be repeated again to Other Asian customer. Yelp just asked me what keeps me coming back to this location. And frankly, the only reason I come here is because it's the only one close to me. Location, location, location, because each time I come the woman behind the counter (always the same woman) makes me feel about 2-feet tall. She has one of those, annoyed, I'm-better-than-you attitudes that really doesn't belong in a customer service environment. Beyond her, I suppose the store is fine, but if it weren't for the location I would avoid this location at all costs. read more

This is long review, but the short version is I love this UPS Store and the staff, and I always had an exceptional experience. Long version; When we lived in Elmhurst temporarily, we needed mailbox for our personal mail, so we went the post office on Roosevelt to get a PO BOX. I couldn't believe how incompetent and rude the lady was, so we just left, and I googled alternatives. I found that UPS Store does boxes (which are physical mailing addresses, and is very handy for stuff like IDs and places that don't ship to PO boxes). So we drove over to this UPS store and Bear (the owner I believe) took his time to explain the agreement and the process. When we signed up, I remember Bear going over a standard agreement with several sections he crossed out because he didn't charge some of the goofy fees like start up fees. Since we used this as our primary mail box, we came there at least 3 times a week, which isn't typical. But the staff was always very helpful, and would immediately grab our packages. The store has a very warm and knowledgeable staff and it is set up more efficiently than other UPS stores. We We ended up moving to Naperville, so we didn't need to keep the box, but they forward or hold mail for six months, and we still stop by. It is one of the best run local small businesses, and I highly recommend them. read more

It was my second time ever as a UPS customer and I had to drop off a package that I just paid $100 online to overnight. I headed to this location because it was the only one that was open that wasn't located within the city. When I printed out the label I also got some paperwork that said I needed a customer service representative to sign it when I dropped off the package, but I had no idea where to find a customer service rep. When I walked into the location I mentioned the paperwork and began to ask about it. "Read the first line! Read the first line! Read the first line!" the employee barked before I could even finish asking about a customer service rep(which they clearly are in desperate need of). Much to the employees dismay I decided to make a point by reading the first line off my paperwork, which had nothing to do with the source of my confusion. Long story short, they accepted my package but couldn't sign my paperwork. I got the hell out of there as fast as possible after being shown such attitude. read more

No complaints here. I walked in with my box to return to Comcast with prepaid shipping label attached and the worker knew exactly what it was already and had the receipt printed before I could even say anything. They have this place working like a well oiled machine. I usually don't ship through UPS, only because USPS offers cheaper options. But I mainly only ship my eBay sales, and I don't sell things that are that expensive or need to arrive extremely fast. If I had to ship something important, I'd definitely go with UPS. read more

I can say hands down that this is the best UPS store in illinois. I ship very regularly and the staff treats me like family. I have come in quite often with a variety of shipments and they go out of their way to come up with cool packaging solutions for me. The owner "Bear" is a super nice guy and will usually go out of his way to help his customers. He also genuinely cares about his customers and their shopping needs. I think what really makes me appreciate this location so much is that on a couple of other occasions I've had to use other UPS stores and it's always been a nightmare. I've had them be dishonest and sneak in so many extra charges. I actually live about 30 miles away from this location and will gladly drive before I even think about visiting another location. If you go in during the holidays the staff keeps a buffet of sweets and cookies to share with their customers. They are usually gifts that are brought to them by their customers. So go during December and pig out. read more

The UPS Store is so much easier to get in and out of than the 5th layer of hell, aka the US post office. They also don't snarl at me when I say I need a box for what I'm shipping, and they keep my address book in the computer so I don't have to write addresses on post-it notes for them. I just came from this UPS Store in south Elmhurst and was appalled by how rudely I was treated. The woman there turned up her nose the minute she looked at the box I brought in to ask about shipping. Said it wasn't packed right even though she had no idea what it was exactly and how it was actually packed. She had a horrendous attitude and apparently she does this to many customers. I left there because life is too short to give business to bad people and went to the UPS Store in north Elmhurst across from the old Rainbow Restaurant. They were so nice, could not have been more helpful! As I was standing there, I mentioned to a woman next to me that the woman at the Butterfield store had a real attitude and she exclaimed, "Don't they though!" Apparently about a month ago she went there to have something notarized there and was treated rudely. I would think she would try to be more courteous especially now that she has competition. Her loss, my gain. I will be doing all my business with Paul Kelty from now on and will tell everyone I know... and I've lived here a long time so I do know a lot of people. read more
