First time visiting a ship center in awhile, and first time at this location, and I usually do UPS anyways. Nobody in the store, and walked to the desk with my package already labeled. Dude made me feel like an idiot and like I was such an inconvenience when I just wanted to drop off the package. Rolled his eyes, slowly walked me over to the ready to ship area (I didn't know that's standard here, now I do) and walked me through the steps in a condescending way. This was a helpful enough spot for me. I needed a few quick printouts before an event nearby, and was glad to see this within walking distance to pop over to. Their system of getting a print job done with the phone is clever, if not a smidge complicated, so I ultimately had the team there handle it for me for a small charge. Keep in mind, I was in a hurry and didn't want to futz around with it, otherwise it's the easier way to go. Service was helpful and got it done for me; I think they deal with some wild folks here because the person helping me seemed a bit on edge as if this was the DMV. Either way, it was helpful. As someone who isn't in the Burbs very often, this seems oddly complicated to get to with the big old highway out front by car, but again I lucked out as the business I was at was a stones throw away on the same side of the street. This review is long overdue. I walked into this Fedex location on January 22 at about 6:30 pm with a last-minute request to print color copies of a document, bind, copy to USB, and ship it by Fedex delivery first overnight to NC. Andre immediately helped me out and printed the document right away, and kept me calm through my last-minute panic session to get the package out on time. The Fedex delivery person was also super kind to wait for us to finish packaging the documents past his designated pickup time. I recently visited to have an email copied. They said on top of the cost per page there was a 2.50 surcharge. I said okay. I brought in a printed copy of my employee ID card to be laminated. Darryl asked if I had a digital copy of the ID and suggested I upload that to the FedEx website. I was able to quickly follow his instructions. Darryl then inquired about what size card I wanted to have printed and laminated. I took out one of my credit cards and Darryl precisely measured it, found my uploaded file on the FedEx website, and created a doubled-sided ID card exactly the size I needed for my wallet. He then laminated it, showed me the final result, and asked me if it met my approval before charging me for it. The ID card is a beautiful physical replica of the digital original my employer emailed to me. The lady that helped me very rudely told me that I need a US identity card and she can not and will not help me and U must go find a friend with a US identity card. Very rude. So-so service. First experience here was good. I worked with Jenn - she was very helpful and efficient. She had my prints ready for pick up with the discount code I had asked her I apply and the process was easy. This most recent time, I was told they will look over my print order and call me with an estimated time of when it was done and with a total cost with my discount code. I went out to lunch in the area with colleagues in the area so I could pick up the prints on my way back. I never got a call. I call the store to ask when they'll be ready and they inform me that they are done. I ask what the total is and they put me on hold for 5 minutes...then pick up and say they can't give me a total until I come into the store... Ok. Upon pick up, one of my laminated pieces was crooked and had poor lamination. He re-printed and re-laminated and the color was completely off and streaky. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for this. I was told it'd be 5 minutes. Then he reprints it again and re-laminates. Another 5-10 minutes at this point (which is when I started writing this review). He gave me the print and now the information at the bottom is being cut off but I was tired of waiting so I just accepted it. Then we go to check out, he rings me up and doesn't apply my coupon code. I ask him to apply the coupon code and I was told I need to wait 5 minutes (who knows how long it'll actually take at this point). This was the point when I bumped the experience from 3 stars to 2 stars. I can't believe how time consuming this process is, not to mention they didn't double check the prints to have them ready when I got here. My biggest complaint: our office printer is not working which is what brought me to printing at FedEx - convenience. Unfortunately, the experience has been anything but convenient. I went in to ship 3 packages which cost me $85. The service from Lester (that's what he told me his name was) was horrible. No greeting, big time attitude during the transaction, and no thank you. Lester needs to seriously consider another line of work, maybe something where he doesn't have to interact with people. Typical FedEx Kinko's: understaffed with occasional long waits, weirdly expensive in unexpected ways, and you sometimes have to make suggestions to the employees on how they might be able to actually get your job done. Sometimes the employees occupy themselves in the rear of the store and ignore you. I have actually gone behind the counter at a Kinko's (not this one) to show the employee how to solve a minor issue and print my order. I am not a ramrod... the guy just needed my help and I needed my copies! That said, the help is usually friendly (amazing, given how angry many of the customers often are), and sometimes very helpful and competent. The end product is usually very nice. Sometimes your order is weirdly and unexpectedly cheap. You never know. Plus, I have to use them (or someone like them) because they have expensive equipment that does things I can't do at home. That's really the bottom line. One good thing is that if you happen to be there when a mean, belligerent person comes in, it's really satisfying to see them completely frustrated in their attempts to get what they want by bullying. read more

I deliver packages to this fedex for the apparel company I work for. The spiked haired white guy is disrespectful and lazy. I'm trying to do my job and get these packages out but anytime I show up when he is there he causes a scene and doesn't want me to drop off the packages. I had not worked with this FedEx prior to this particular experience, but I was very impressed. Leave it to upper management to wait until the last possible minute to "need it yesterday". At 10am on a Friday, I was told we needed 2 signs to place in our courtyard ASAP. I called this particular FedEx only because: 1.) they can produce signs 2.) they would be an easy pick up location for my boss. I called in a panic and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Ken. He talked me through the sizes, materials (indoor-vs-outdoor signs) and pricing. The price point was lower than I had anticipated, especially on a "short notice" project. Ken made arrangements to confirm the art work, confirm our tax status and have the necessary sign materials brought into his facility so the process could begin. Originally the plan was to complete the project so it was available for pick up at 9pm, which I made me happy. However, Ken did some "FedEx magic" and called me at 3pm and told me, "The signs are ready for pick up, NOW." Talk about making me look like a Rock Star for my management people. Thanks to Ken the project was completed ahead of schedule and management was very happy with the finished product, including price. Stopped in today to drop off a package that was already sealed with a label already on it. The girl behind the counter asked what it was. Told her it was a used phone that I sold to someone online. The buyer paid for shipping and sent me a label. She claimed the phones have to be shipped in a special box. I was using the same box in which my new phone was delivered to me in by FEDEX the week before! So not only did this dingbat take the phone box out of the shipping box but actually opened the phone box, tried pulling the phone out and dropped the phone on the ground! Then tried to charge me $8.64 for this "phone shipping box." What a scam! I walked out of there and will be shipping my phone by a BIG BROWN truck! read more

She let me email it to her right there and printed it for me and even taped it on again. Something so simple and helpful so I didnt have to drive home. Thank you! Terrible service. The only person worth anything there was a guy named Justin. I brought in a 76pg document and asked to have it scanned in. There are no prices posted anywhere, the ast. Mgr. didn't tell me a price per page and I didn't ask. Low behold this document was $44 just to get scanned in. Fine, if it makes my life easier then it was worth it. Got back to work (after I was forced to buy an overpriced memory stick because they can't email you the document) opened it on my computer and it was TERRIBLE. The pages were scanned in crooked, color was off just an overall very poor job. I took it back and Justin stepped in and helped me out. I went to pick up a package that was sent to my father's house, and was in my maiden name. I thought I would have a problem claiming the package because my driver's license obviously has my address on it and my married name. Nothing matches. Well, once she had the package I gave her my ID, but apparently she didn't look at it because she didn't notice that the ID didn't match the package. I'm not complaining because it really was my package, and I certainly didn't want to jump through hoops, but it was a little disconcerting. Of course, one of the workers just to vacuum the carpet right next to the line at 5pm when there were a bunch of people in line. I couldn't hear the lady behind the counter even if she asked me something, so maybe she just didn't want to deal with it. read more

I walked in today to try to ship a guitar there was a hispanic male there. I was a little glad because he was a hispanic and being a hispanic myself I felt more comfortable. I told him I sold something on ebay and this was my first time shipping something. He turned out to be extremely rude. I showed him a label on my phone and didn't even look at it or didn't even bother to look at me in the face while i was talking to him. It truly saddens me that such a big company like FedEx could have such bullshit employees. If you don't like your job don't work there! Personally I will never use this service again! Hours later I went to Villa Park post office and they charged me 28! Ordered labels online. They are standard white gloss labels for a laser printer. Nothing special. Guy at the counter says it will get stuck in the printer. I suggested to use the single sheet feed on the printer (even though I know they wont get stuck because I have printed them from a tray at my wife's work.Only here because her printer needs repair). The guys say "It wont work. All we have are ink printers". Now I know for a fact that they print gloss brochures, pamphlets, and all kinds of marketing stuff so to hear my gloss labels wont work raises questions. I asked if they had a laser printer and he said no. What kind of "OFFICE" store does not have a laser printer in 2016? I ordered prayer cards for my fathers funeral yesterday morning. Apparently they weren't able to print what I wanted and "didn't get around" to contacting me. Then they said I didn't leave a phone number which was a lie because I had to open and account WITH A PHONE NUMBER to place the order online. So not only did they not contact me they LIED to cover it up!! I know this because when I called cooperate they HAD MY PHONE NUMBER!!
