What happened next is why I'm warning other women in particular before you consider hiring them. On July 8, 2026, a Move For You crew parked their truck in a way that fully blocked vehicle access for two buildings, with zero advance notice to residents. When I politely asked a crew member to move it so I could get into my own lot, one employee -- a young man in a white shirt -- became visibly hostile. After finally moving the truck only enough to leave a narrow gap, he walked directly up to my moving vehicle as I drove through it, closing the space further, and aggressively pumped his chest and head toward my car -- the unmistakable body language of a man trying to intimidate a woman into backing down, or worse. I was driving home from a doctor's appointment with an elderly neighbor in the car, who witnessed this entire exchange. This was not a miscommunication. This was an adult man, employed by this company, choosing to physically intimidate a woman alone in her own parking lot because he was asked to move his own truck. I have photos of him and the vehicle, and I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Illinois Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Bureau, and Chicago Police. If this is how their employees behave when mildly inconvenienced, think carefully before letting them into your home, your building, or anywhere near your family. Adil and his team of movers were superb and incredible. They have surpassed all of my expectations when it comes to hiring movers. They were timely and showed up exactly when they were supposed to, were very communicative throughout the whole process, and were incredibly fast and super efficient!. When I first talked to them for a quote, they made it very easy as they walk you through the whole moving process. The person giving the quote makes you go room by room and list all the furniture that you are planning on moving to your new place. They then explain what's included in the price and email you a copy for your records. A $50 deposit is required to lock in your date and is credited towards your total at the end. In addition they were able to disassemble a Sole Elliptical and reassemble it at the new location. Edit: The Management team called me and resolved the issue following my original review. I appreciate the reach out and resolution. The management and scheduling team was absolutely awful. The movers were overbooked which meant they got to my place 2 hours late. I ended up moving most of the stuff from my truck by myself because it was getting late. When the movers arrived, there was only 30 minutes of moving left and I was still required to pay the 2 hours minimum ($500). Hands down the BEST moving experience I've had, well, ever and all of the 5-star reviews did not steer me wrong. From the very first estimate, they were very responsive and easy to work with. Because of my anal-retentiveness, they happily answered every question I had, and I can't even count the number of times they updated my estimate before I finally booked (because of bad experiences, I am now very thorough during my vetting process). On moving day, not only did they arrive promptly at 8:30 a.m., main office also called me 15 minutes before to provide me crew arrival eta as they had promised. From there, it was smooth sailing. I had never had an easier or more effortless move (this is now my 5th move in the 8 years I've been in Chicago). I literally did not lift a single finger, which seems like common sense I've hired movers, but I can tell you it certainly isn't: I've always had to do something to help it go faster. Because of my OCD and because we have very delicate and expensive pieces, I like things to be done in a certain way (go check out the way everything was SO PROFESSIONALLY WRAPPED in the photos below...that definitely made my little anal retentive heart smile). Even when I started to move, rearrange, and stack boxes around in the middle of unloading, the lead PM (I believe his name was Navar) asked his movers to do it in the way I preferred so I can go relax. This may seem like a little gesture to some, but to me, it was so appreciated and made me felt taken cared of. Not only that, but because they knew that this was our newly purchased home, they were super careful not to scratch the walls, corners, or the floors. Even with all of the extra attention to details, they were STILL able to finish before estimated time AND they adjusted the bill respectively. I truly and honestly have never had this kind of amazing experience with any moving company. And as cost conscious as my partner is, even he said--with a smile--that this was the best $2,500 he's ever spent. I cannot recommend Move4U enough! read more

My move with Move4U was just okay. They were more than an hour late which was frustrating and set us off on a sour note. My crew lead was not friendly which made the day awkward bc then somehow I felt bad for them doing a job I was paying them to do? While packing the truck, they disregarded the labels on boxes even though I reviewed these with the lead crew member upon arrival. They stacked boxes, flipped them on their sides, etc. so items were not secured as I requested. This was also an issue during the unload bc many boxes were left in the wrong rooms/floor so I had to move a TON of stuff myself after they left. Upon arrival at my new home, they began complaining about the number of items and called the office to confirm if they should charge extra or complete the job? And when my box spring wouldn't fit up the stairs, they told me I should throw it away and get a new one? After discussing they agreed to bring it over the balcony with ropes etc. and said that setup would be $80 addtl. But in reality they handed it up to one crew member who pulled it over the rail in less than 2 seconds. The entire unload they were really dragging. By the time they finished it was a 6.5 hour move (1.5 hours longer than estimated) and $350 more than estimated. Lastly, the movers ruined several of my belongings. They taped several items that did not require it (like bare bookshelves??) with this cheap plastic tape that ruined the finish and they had to be thrown away. I also had three separate boxes with broken items - something I have never had happen. I wrapped everything meticulously and clearly marked fragile boxes and items that should not be stacked. At the end of the day, the move was done. I bought them dinner, paid in full and tipped 25% so this is not me being a jerk or complaining just to complain.
