Only lost 2 packages in my entire tenure. I trust it was more about Amazon delivery than this location. The virtual mailbox was a lifesaver as I worked between states to care for sick family and maintain employment. I never accessed after hours but totally would if I was so Inclined as I feel comfortable doing so. They tried their hardest to find the misplaced or misdelivered items. I trust Amazon folks messed it. It mattered because it was a wedding gift. That just made it more tolerable and special that they tried. They'll communicate via email which is most preferred for me and my life demands. Renewals can be done without issue over the phone and receipts left in your box. read more

Update #2 It's been 4 years since my last review and there's a huge difference in how I use this UPS store. I've since opened my own business and I use this location several days a week, most recently as a mailbox key holder. I have dropped thousands of USPS packages here over the past year in business, always grateful that UPS offers this partnership since the nearest post office is at least 15 mins away. The employees are kind about the USPS and Amazon drop offs and after bad experiences other places, this is the only delivery service location I frequent anymore. Delivery and mailing these days is not perfect, but thank god for my UPS store down the road. read more

Final update: As you can see, UPS finally responded to this post after doing absolutely nothing to help me. Without telling me, they then delivered the turtle to my door, five days after it was supposed to arrive. The turtle was dead, and UPS is responsible. Keep in mind, this all started when the rude, untrained and childish receptionists lied to me and said that the UPS store has no control over UPS drivers. If this were true, how did they direct the driver to deliver the turtle to my home after reading my review? This proves that this store is lying to its customers to avoid taking responsibility for their orders. Notably, I still have not received a refund. read more

I had a negative experience followed by a positive experience. I did my fingerprints through this store. The fingerprint technician had poor customer service. When collecting my fingerprints it took a long time and at times there would be a red x and she would hit accept regardless of not having a good fingerprint read. My fingerprints did not go through to the place I was sending them to. I called the store to try to troubleshoot the problem. The worker who answered the phone met me with little guidance and at times told me he didn't know, but proceeded to have an unprofessional tone. I contacted field print and was told that I would need to redo the fingerprints. It was frustrating because the initial fingerprint was not reimbursed. I'm convinced it was due to the technician not appropriately collecting my fingerprints. I understand we are all human and make mistakes but it's important to take accountability when you need help, which I did not view at this store. I decided to give them a second chance. My second chance was night and day compared to my first experience. The staff were much friendlier and the fingerprint technician was professional and thorough. My fingerprints were collected with zero problems from the receiving party. This location is a hit or miss depending on the people working there. I had interactions with unprofessional workers followed by pleasant interactions with professional workers. Please know that when entering this store. You may have to pay twice losing hard earned money in order to get the same result. read more

Giving them 5 stars because of one particular employee. I wish I would have caught her name. I was dropping off a package, and there were several people in line in front of me. The two people currently being helped seemed to have complicated service needs. One of the young ladies working there caught my eye and apologized. Since I had her attention, I left my package on the counter, and said I was going to the bakery next door, and would be back for my receipt. I went to the bakery next door and ordered a pastry and coffee and was sitting down to eat them when the same young woman from the UPS store RUSHES in and hands my my receipt and apologizes profusely. I try to thank her even though my mouth is full, and she heads back to deal with the line of customers. Simple gestures like that mean I will think of her next time I need to give a UPS store my business. I may go back and get her name so I can write her boss. read more

I was seriously disappointed to see both young 20 something staff members at the counter at this location were not wearing masks when I had to stop in yesterday. To me it was disrespectful and clearly negligent. Given what we know about the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, both of these employees could be asymptomatic and infected and endangering anyone doing business there. UPS for the win! I struggle every year getting Holiday cards out the door on time. As a mom of little ones, it's a lot of work to put together a card online, wait for the shipping, stuff, and address cards. Melissa and her team did all of this for me! I sent my photo template and addresses and they handled everything. They put together my photo, printed, stuffed and mailed my cards for me. The turnaround was within days even during their busiest season. The team went above and beyond for me and for that I am very grateful. This dude seriously wanted 13+$ for a 10x10x48 box that you can get 20 of online for under 40 bucks (that was just the first price I found online while I was standing there). Thats over 5x profit. Asked for owner to request a more reasonable price. Owner was a dingy-butt about it. When my customer asks for a more reasonable price, they are giving me a chance to serve them. Not only is the store well organized and sparkling clean, but the staff is always happy, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They really seem to care that you chose them to help! Tried to ship a package here via UPS. Payment was via receiver through their UPS account number. I was told that UPS stores can't handle this simple type of transaction and that I need to go to the UPS Depot across town. What can brown do for you? I continually have issues with UPS and any sort of convenience. If available for your shipment, I highly recommend the convenience and ease of FedEx. 2 stars for nice staff. read more

The service here is fast and friendly, and they offer lots of services. The major downside is their pricing. I had two copies made (~10 pages total) and got one item notarized. This cost me over $11. The notary fee was $.50, the copies a few cents, and then there was a $10 facility fee. What does that mean? Because I walked in I had to pay $10? Is it their way of charging more for notary fees? I'm not sure, but I was a bit disappointed. Still, it was convenient, especially as it was 8 am and most banks or other locations that could have done notary services for me were not open yet. read more

My husband had a package shipped here and they returned it to sender without even notifying us that the package had arrived. This place is run horribly and I get the feeling that the staff is not genuine. They didn't help at all nor did they seem like they wanted to. And what's with the Christian music playing all day long? I get that the owner is a pastor, but it's not okay to push your beliefs onto the rest of us. &They treat their employees like crap. Very Very Expensive. I would call it price gouging. Example: One of their shipping options is USPS Priority Mail. I wanted to mail a package via USPS Priority Mail. I compared The UPS Store in Fitchburg with the USPS Post Office in Fitchburg. For the same package and same destination, The UPS Store charges $32 and USPS Post Office charges only $13. The Fitchburg Post Office is only 1 block away from The UPS Store. The UPS Store said they add a surcharge. A $20 surcharge is ridiculous, especially when the post office is only a block away. read more

A nice place but a major rip off. I was shipping some large boxes. Here is the trick this store played and I presume major UPS Stores play. If the LxWxH of the box is greater than 5184, then the billable weight is computed by the formula shown at this link. http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/packaging/dim_weight.html?WT.mc_id=VAN701060 The trick is to make sloppy measurements on the upside and charge extra. Also, I had one a letter to mail and the lady charged me $3.95 to mail it. Yes, it was less than 2oz and it was a small envelope. That extra money I paid was just for convinece. It's a UPS store. Went in to get fingerprinted for a job and discovered that they can offer most of the same services that FedEx does. They are not a true copy center but it is pretty close and I was impressed by their customer service. For simple stuff going here will be much more convenient that driving to a FedEx store. read more

Was in a hurry and running by, so I used this store for this first time. There was a long line because a gentleman was sending a package to Mexico and the girl who was assisting him didn't seem to be the most knowledgeable and needed to call a super, who didn't answer. I was expecting to have to leave as only one other person was working alongside this woman. I'm thinking the female employee was new, so I can't hold that against her. The man working the counter was so expedient that the line quickly dwindled down and he was fantastic at multi-tasking. Even when one lady heckled him a bit, he was super nice, had an excellent business demeanor, and quick. This posting is a giant kudos to Lucas, the employee who made our visit not only quick when we thought it would take forever, but was actually enjoyable. I actually forgot to put in a paper when my box was being packaged and he reminded me, which was awesome! His witty repartee and outgoing attitude was so refreshing! Fantastic employee! While the location is convenient and the staff friendly, the last couple packages I have dropped off to be returned or shipped out have all "disappeared." I find this hard to understand when shipping packages is literally your job, and it's happened to all of my packages. They don't deserve any stars. Horrible customer service! Brought in a $20 product to get laminated. Was never given a quote for the project. I asked the cashier how much she thought it would cost and she replied, "shouldn't be too much." I come back a few days later, since they didn't do it for some reason that day, and the guy rings me up and says its $93!!! I asked to see a rate sheet and asked why I wasn't given a price to begin with. He said, "it doesn't matter, you still have to pay,". Spoke with Melissa yesterday over phone to get estimate of shipping golf clubs to Florida. 2nd day air - price quoted to me was $135 - one way - with some additional cost - $12-15 - for packaging material. Sounded good. Brought the clubs in this morning and was quoted at $266 for 2nd day air. I asked for Melissa to call me - she didn't so I called her - and she said that the size of the bag and clubs were bigger so it was more shipping cost. OK, but double the cost???? Golf clubs are virtually same size and bag was normal size as well. Not at all impressed. Will never do business with this location again. Buyer beware. read more

This place, unprofessional - very sad service . Brought a prepaid UPS pack with a laptop inside another prepaid box with another PC part. They offer to put peanuts in the box. They did NOT in either box, laptop was destroyed and video card was destroyed - both went to separate people. UPS Indemnity will not pay for the damaged items because there were no peanuts - that these a$$holes said they would put in the box. read more

We have a business very near The UPS store in Fitchburg. In the past I have shipped frequently from 3 different UPS Store locations. I have always found the Fitchburg branch to be more expensive but many times went there anyway for convenience of location. I have had an experience on 8/16/2013 that has changed my mind and I will never go back. Long story short, the owner of the store was helping me follow up on a claim being made because UPS did damage to a shipment to our customer. The claim started two weeks ago with owner not following up and asking for more and more data. I emailed back all answers to his questions and provided all his requested documentation with in the same day only to have no response until I called or emailed again. When I started to get a bit annoyed and asked what was taking so long to do this claim his one sentence email reply back was: "Please contact ups and complete the claim directly. Sorry I couldn't have been more help." My reply back was then: "No problem and considering the level of service received from your store we will not be back." I have not heard from him since and I will never go back. I get great service at another location, it is worth the drive. This is the second time I have had to make a damage claim to UPS due to damage found on the receiving end. (We are a business that ships frequently) When I had the identical experience at another branch this took one phone call from me and the UPS store handled everything else in a quick and pleasant fashion. This really did not have to be so hard and in the end was completely blown off by the owner of the store! read more
