the 'manager' left me their email and I sent them a message to which they never responded (shocking). I attached the screenshot as proof. The tracking from 08/12 still says they haven't received the item. And my customer called their store to ask and they said that they 'ship every day' and that I should call UPS. Even my customer said the woman on the phone was rude. The woman on the phone also asked if I got a receipt which basically means since I didn't get a receipt that they have no control of what happens with packages that go to their store. Riiight. This store stinks with a capital 'S'. Pretty sure they threw my package out. Wish I kept it and walked out. What's worse is when I contacted UPS directly (several times), they told me to open a claim. I already did. They did nothing. I also have a premium membership but i'm cancelling that. read more

Here is the worst experience of my lifetime:- I reached the UPS Store (#4939) around 5.40PM on Nov 4 2024 at Fort Mill, SC to drop a package. A man standing next to the machines shouted angrily "GET IN THE LINE". As soon as he saw me he was angrily fuming. I said "I just needed to tape". He said again "GET IN THE LINE". Thinking he might be having a rough day I ignored and went back to the line(3-4 customers). After a couple of minutes he called me out of the line to the machines next to where he was standing. He looked at me and screamed again "YOU DON'T WANT TO SCAN?". I was simply waiting for the instructions and didn't appreciate the mean reply. Meanwhile some caucasian women entered the store and he greeted her with a nicer tone saying "Good Evening". I felt weird by the contrasting treatment but ignored him again. I scanned the package. He again talked in the same tone "LEAVE IT THERE AND GO". This time I had enough of his behaviour directed towards me. As a customer I expected better. First time I talked back and said "I will wait for the package to be sealed". I was returning a phone and in the past ATT has lost my phone so I wanted to be extra careful. He screamed "LEAVE IT AND GO. I WILL SEAL LATER. YOU KNOW WHAT I HAD ENOUGH JUST TAKE YOUR PACKAGE AND LEAVE THE STORE. THIS IS MY STORE AND I CAN DENY SERVICE. I AM DENYING YOUR SERVICE JUST LEAVE". I was completely shocked at the humiliating and discriminatory behaviour. I tried to reason with him by saying "You have not been talking to me decently since I entered the store". He smirked and said again "This is my store and I can deny service. Just leave the store". I asked what his name was. He aggressively pointed at his name tag and looked at his coworkers and said "MY NAME IS HARI" as if daring anyone of his subordinates to question him. I turned sideways to two employees working at the counter to reason with this man and come to my defence. They saw their boss looking at them and simply went back to their work and kept their head down. By this time I was simply lost of words and stared at the worst discriminatory experience of my lifetime. Just the sheer insult has taken me aback. Looking at my plight a UPS delivery driver said "Sir, please come out I can help you". When I was outside he inferred to ignore the incident. He told me about another closest UPS store (20 mins drive one way in the wrong direction). I have ignored the man twice but I can't ignore it again! After this experience I don't think if me or my family will ever be using any UPS services/stores again, a place where I was humiliated and discriminatory denied a service. I will raise this incident to the appropriate authorities. This behaviour and insult of customers is not just appalling but illegal too. read more

Tried to drop off my Amazon package and the lady refused to take it saying it needs to be in a different package, even though the packaging was what it was shipped in. Took it too a different ups and they accepted it. Also note they don't take USPS packages which is a first for me every other ups I have been to does. I go to this location many times a week and always get excellent service. I've witnessed these workers get treated so poorly by customers. These customers are adults that throw fits when they don't get their way all due to the employees following the rules. Amazon returns are not hard and if these "adults" actually took the time to read the return instructions then they would see that the employees are 100% doing their jobs correctly. The "owner" of this location refused to return the package because he recognized that it was a cellphone and did not want to be responsible for the return. The gal at the counter was the only one apparently working and she was able to help me while working on the copying job. And then two other customers came in. I think they had to wait a bit. Of course, all companies are struggling to provide the same service prior to covid. This being said a lot of companies fall short. This particular UPS store, in my opinion, is doing a remarkable job! It is a small store so the capacity limit is 3 customers at a time, which can cause other customers to get annoyed. Jen, who specifically works with me on my moms art business, Is absolutely amazing! The other girls working do an outstanding job as well. Customers should understand, it's not the stores fault that there is a limit of people allowed in store. I recently moved from North Carolina to New York and decided to use UPS shipping services to move several (3) boxes, rather than a moving company. When the three boxes arrived, I discovered that ALL boxes (and the items inside) had been damaged/broken while in transit. Immediately, I called the UPS Claims Department, which submitted claims on my behalf for all three packages. After some back and forth with the Claims Department Headquarters, I was connected with the UPS of origin (Fort Mill, SC). Harold contacted me immediately to help resolve this issue and complete my claims. He was attentive, responsive, apologetic, and understanding during the required procedure. He helped me submit the necessary paperwork to expedite the process and kept me informed until everything had been finalized, resolved and reimbursed. This is the only time I have had a notably positive experience with any UPS location, employee, or service. Harold, as well as the entire Fort Mill UPS team, are incredibly professional and kind. Very good experience with the Ft. Mill UPS store! We stayed with the grandkids for a week on our way south, and our carry-on duffle bag got much too heavy.... As seniors, it just got too tough to drag this thing into the car, out of the car, to the check in desk at the airport....worry about it getting there (we had to switch planes in Atlanta) ....and then run to the carousel upon landing to make sure the bag didn't disappear.....and then drag it to the car picking us up. The easiest solution was to take it to the Ft. Mill UPS store where Howard did a terrific job of literally building a 4 foot long box to make a snug fit over the duffle, from two large boxes. The price was reasonable for the weight, Howard is polite and helpful, and we were in and out in 10 minutes. When the bag came 2 days later the box was incredible, like a safe. Very strong, plenty of two sided tape. No dents or tears like from other shippers we used up north last year. Nothing damaged, zero problems. And nothing to drag/ lift in and out of the car. When you figure in what would have been the $30 airline bag fee, plus the overweight penalty fee, plus tipping the guy with the baggage cart to the car, we came out ahead.... And no heavy lifting. It's usually the same woman working there when I go, and she's AMAZING. The longest I've ever waited is maybe 3 minutes, and that's on a busy day. I had the worst customer service experience at this store. I felt like an inconvenience. The person that waited on me was a heavy set woman with short brown hair and she was so rude. I believe her tag said Melanie but I was in such a hurry to get out of there that I could have read it wrong. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to mail your ups packages. If they treat their customers disrespectfully, I am sure they don't handle your packages carefully either. I am surprised that UPS will allow such terrible customer service. This is a horrible location for mailing, copying, and other printing services. The clerks and the owner have been rude, snide, arrogant, and provide horrendous customer service. This is the third time I've personally received or seen them provide terrible service. I won't go back again. The counter now contains a myriad of signs filled with misspellings and grammatical errors. I certainly wouldn't use any of their layout, design, or computer based services based on this evidence. When I went last week to drop off a package and pick up some stamps, the clerk said he could not punch holes in an address book for an elderly customer. I pointed out that the drills could easily be moved to accommodate the smaller book. He acknowledged that it could, but it was too difficult and then shrugged. The customer and I exchanged incredulous and confused glances. Too difficult? To move the drills on a 3 hole punch? On another occasion, the owner was shrill and rude to customers waiting in line. When I called to inquire about notary services, she rudely repeated several times that she was the only person there and that I would have to bring witnesses. I went to the UPS Store in Ballantyne where they used another employee as a witness and we asked another customer to be a witness. It worked out great, and their store was courteous and friendly. DON'T USE THIS LOCATION FOR ANY SERVICES WHATSOEVER. They are rude, unpleasant, and discourteous to customers of all races, creeds, ages and genders.
