I'm very sorry that I have to leave this poor review but I believe it's worthy of communicating to others. We paid for a "1 day delivery" on a couple documents that needed to get to Nashville. We paid approx $100 for this service and was told very clearly by the store employee that "If this does not get there in 24 hours that you will get a full refund". Of course, the package did not get there on Saturday, UPS closed on Sunday, nothing Monday with them finally showing up on Tuesday. I contacted this store for my "full refund" and was told that they would process it immediately. What showed up was about $75 as they indicated I would still be charged a "fuel surcharge" of approx $25. I contacted Remji (sp?), store manager, and was then told that this was a "UPS decision" and "I am not UPS - I am an UPS Store". I found that to be a disappointing response - especially from the manager. He further explained in a long drawn out response that he had no control over this. I tried to tell him that HIS employee promised us a "full refund" so that I felt he WAS indeed responsible as that employee obviously needed some additional training so as to not make commitments like this to customers. He disagreed. I'm just moving on..but wanted to just make you aware of what i consider to be a manager NOT taking responsibility to do the right thing for a customer. Last thing - I later found out that FED EX has MUCH better logistics to handle 1 day deliveries (especially for Saturday deliveries) so I will be headed there for all my future shipment needs. First, they are open on Sunday. That is a huge help. Today, I came in at 3:20 PM when they were closing at 3:30. The lady who helped me greeted me very nicely, and she helped me package the mess of items I brought in professionally and helpfully. Unacceptable Customer Service - Will Not Return Had a very frustrating experience at this UPS location. The associate, Kristine, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was on her personal cellphone, loudly discussing private matters while I was trying to get help. When I asked her to pack my item, she just set it aside and said she'd "get to it later"--with zero urgency or explanation. I even offered to pack it myself to speed things up, and instead of helping, she told me I could "take it somewhere else if I didn't like how she does it." This is not how customers should be treated. No basic courtesy, no willingness to help, and clearly no interest in doing her job. This is right outside of Sun City and I am not going to use them any more, unless I absolutely have to. It is ridiculously over-priced. A $.60 cent postage envelop comes in at almost $4. And I supplied the envelop. They have a money pit and are raking it in. We consumers have to live with our love of convenience, so suck it up. The other such facilites are much more reasonable. I go in to Waxhaw. The owner, a guy, is too focused on making money to listen to customers. I needed a manuscript copied, they were busy, I left it with the owner who promised it by 3pm. When I came in to pick it up, the box was exactly where I left it and he had no memory of it, even having to read the order slip and then ask me, "Is this yours?" Spread the word. Apparently they are having high employee turnover, because the ladies that were good are gone and now it is catch as catch can. There are alternatives. read more

Stay far far far away from this UPS store. I had a very simple return with labels on my packages from Amazon and I got a bunch of nonsense from the owner that they couldn't take it. It's a very simple process.... I bring packages with labels, you take the package as instructed by Amazon. so frustrating and you cannot understand a word that he says. Many other locations to use, I would boycott location and maybe they will go out of business for such poor service. read more

CARONAVIRUS ALERT - HIGH RISK AT THE UPS STORE IN FORT MILL, SC. OWNER HARI PARVATANENI REFUSES TO FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS. I went to open a UPS mailbox and was helped by an employee named Aaron who was not wearing a face mask and gloves with a runny nose. The UPS store is a high traffic area where everyone is coming in with packages from within their homes into a tiny store. I paid $162 for a mailbox and while walking towards me with forms to sign, Aaron, wiped his runny nose and then placed them on the counter. When asked if he had a face mask and gloves he replied, "Those are only recommendations which I am choosing not to follow" with a bold attitude to which an elderly lady beside me gasped and shook her head! I explained that I respect his right to not follow them but said the reason he would be wearing one would be for the customer, not himself. Renji, another employee there, said they handle mail and packages all the time and there was no problem. How would he really know? The coronavirus remains airborne for 3 hours and has been found viable (able to infect others) up to 7 hours on cardboard per the landmark study published by the New England Journal of Medicine (April 16, 2020 N Engl J Med 2020; 382:1564-1567, DOI: 10.1056/NEJMc2004973). This is data medical experts around have been using around the world. When I realized both employees didn't have a grasp on the deadly risks associated with a virus that had killed over 75,000 US citizens in a little over a month I decided to go elsewhere. And that's when they wouldn't give me my money back...$162 as I stood there with a long line of heavy breathing people behind me. Is keeping my money because I raised valid health risk concerns really customer centric? Renji continued to badger me and said I can't get my money back. Eventually and reluctantly they called Hari Parvataneni and I walked out of the door $162 poorer until it fell of my credit card a few days later. Terrible experience. I called another UPS store to find a personal mailbox that wasn't owned by Hari Parvataneni. I learned he doesn't train nor ask his employees at all four of his stores to use masks, gloves or practice mitigation strategies recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). I never received a call back from Hari Parvataneni from any of his locations. Is visiting his business worth your life? Worth the life of your Dad? Your Mom? Your best friend? I was at a crossroads as the box I was shipping was too big for my car! I called The UPS Store and Rengy said he would pick the box up for me which he did when he promised. Then I met up with him in the store and he suggested a way to make the box smaller thus reducing my shipping cost. I have used The UPS Store for several projects and while service has been average (nothing to praise or defame), I MUST share I was blown away by the customer service received by the #5278 store in Fort Mills last Saturday!!! Renji was the only person working that day and he was extremely knowledgeable and patient with my many questions and went the extra mile to print/complete my job with very little notice. This is our default UPS store for household use so I really wish I could say the service is outstanding. But sadly, I cannot. Stopped in here last week to ship Easter gifts to the Raleigh relatives. The lone gentleman working the counter was copying blueprint sized pages when I arrived. I was the only other carbon based life form in the store. Did he interrupt the photocopying to help his breathing customer? No. I stood there until his photocopying project was finished, then he came over to help me. Yes, they actually get the goods to their destination, in one piece and on the promised schedule. But there are lots of places around that will accomplish that much. The way to distinguish themselves in this crowded market is customer service. And I've experienced better. read more

Over the past week I have bombarded Renji with quote requests, emailed orders and numerous questions. As a real estate agent building her business, Renji at this store site has been a life saver! From calling him, getting a quote, emailing my pdf to him and pickup, my order was ready within 3 hours! One of my orders was last minute substitute business cards and they look SO good! The quality was far better than I anticipated for a quick print. My flyers are high quality and very professional looking! This store is my go-to one stop shop for all my printing and shipping needs! I found the service more than adequate until last November, at which time it became chaotic. My wife and I are working in the Philippines and rely on the store to forward our local SC mail to us here. Instead of forwarding it once per month, they generally have to be reminded via email - which causes a major delay in receiving our correspondence. A sad turn recently - they don't even answer our emails. (We've had the mail forwarding service for over 4 years) I can't recommend at this time. I have used other UPS stores in the past but THIS UPS STORE IS HORRIBLE!!! They packaged a product for me and it was damaged in transit. UPS referred me me back to the store for compensation and they flat out denied they had anything to do with the packaging and offered no help or compensation. At the very least I thought they would refund me the shipping charges but instead they blamed me for not packing things correctly when they were the ones that sealed the box. just stopped in today and there were some complications but everything was eventually settled. what I didn't like was the way the customers were dealt with. they were talked down to, one was just left unattended, and another had difficulties getting a package that she ordered from that store. I'll be using other shipping centers from now on. read more
