Empathy I feel is what everyone likes these days however, I could feel the owner empathized with me. Why do I say this? I was with my son and I was running late. I was I would say very late because it was past their closing time on a Sunday. And he could've easily not accepted my package, which we wanted to send it for almost like two weeks and today was the last day the package QR code was going to be active. They were cleaning the store and the doors were locked however, Vinith Goyal decided that he'll do something extra extraordinary by helping the single father in distress. He not only opened the door waited for my son and my big package to get Hauled in, but he even helped me get printed and didn't even charge for it. I thanked them multiple times for a kind gesture and left the store with a big smile on my face. I know he could have easily said no, but he decided not to. I took a rare set of China made in Japan b4 occupation to UPS to be delivered to my nephew fir his wedding present. Now according to UPS motto "we pack it we ship it it is guaranteed satisfaction". My nephew and his fiance recieved the China damaged. They did not break plates which I have extra of they broke the lid to the soup tureen (so far unreplaceable, the gravey boat, the sugar bowl. Not only that they broke the crystal wine glasses dated back to the 1920's. I notified the manager of the damage. He wanted me to send pictures of the items(done), pictures of the box looks like it was dropped kicked, (sent) box not labeled fragile. Who ships China without labeling it FRAGILE. The pictures of packaging (sent). These were mailed in August to be delivered on the 26th(later) My nephew recieved it damaged, I filed a claim in Sept 2021 and they still are sitting on it ckaimingvits corporate. I Called corporate and the pictures sent to Brian store manager were not forwarded to corporate claims. Called today they are not even answering their phones. The technical proficiency of the staff is quite high, but on a people-to-people level doing business at 4917 is like walking into a refrigerator. The three most recent experiences in this store, all with the same chick, have me looking elsewhere to accomplish my shipping needs. This has got to be WORST UPS Store in the entire state. The young lady they have working in there does not address anyone as they walk in. So it will cause you to just stand there and wait for her to snap out of her incompetence. I will drive out of my way to NEVER darken their doorstep again. Which really is unfortunate because it's on my way home.... The problem with the employee that works here is she's incompetent and rude. I went to the Fox River Grove store with 3 overflowing boxes of things to ship out of the country. The first quote they gave me was $1,100. When I freaked out the two men working that morning continued to research options for me. In the end they repacked my boxes and got the shipping down to $505. I was delighted. And yes, all 3 boxes made it to their destination. read more

I have been using the FRG store since it opened and have always been satisfied with the handling of my business-returning packages to Amazon or Zappos and sending gifts. The one time I had a problem with a package that was damaged I was satisfied with the solution and the manner in which it was handled. They also have a good greeting card selection. read more

Stopped in to return a few books to send to Amazon and was greeted with a "Just set them over there" when I asked for a receipt the employee was visibly disappointed that she had to cut short her conversation with her friend and get back to work. After spending another 5 minutes talking and helping her friend she finally got to giving me a receipt begrudgingly. I will look for other stores to share my business with for now on. read more

The UPS store in Fox River Grove has absolutely, the worst service I have experienced in a very long time. I was completely bothering the person working here and she was extremely rude. She did not want to help me or even address the fact that I was ready to give her and her store any money. So, do what ever you can to avoid this store even if it means you have to drive out of your way. I am telling you it will be worth your while not to deal with this store and the woman that works here, she will bite your head off your head off if you ask her a question. Please note that many of the negative reviews date from before the store changed hands last year. The scope of services offered and their execution has markedly improved. Everyone is friendly, accommodating, and extremely helpful. I went here to ship a product back. The lady Linda at the counter was very rude. Wouldn't answer questions or gave a condescending answer when asked again. Not friendly at all. Bad experience, spent $20 to ship a gift to AZ, box was sent all the way back here after 3 delivery attempts, which were made during work hours when no one was home. Apparently there is NO communication before something gets sent back -- recipient has to call to ask them to hold the package at the local hub!! If they don't call, it comes back. Complete waste of money. Worse, a sour attitude by the store manager Linda, and not even an apology from the store owner!
