From Five Stars to One Star in 10 Minutes - Unreasonable Refund Policy! I was actually prepared to write a glowing 5-star review after my initial experience here. The Hanna and the other staff were genuinely friendly and very helpful throughout the two days I spent gathering paperwork and setting up my private mailbox service. Today when I signed all the forms and paid $235 for 6 months of service, I was completely satisfied with the customer service. However, within 10 minutes of hanging up the phone, an urgent unforeseen circumstance occurred that required me to cancel my mailbox. I immediately called back to request cancellation and a refund. Hanna told me I needed to wait for their manager, who would be in within 40 minutes. When Joe, the manager, called, I was shocked to learn that their \"no refund\" policy meant they would keep my entire $235 payment - despite my having used the service for exactly 10 minutes. This policy turned what should have been a 5-star experience into complete disappointment. For $235 and 10 minutes of actual service, some level of reasonable accommodation seems fair to expect. The initial customer service was excellent, but management's inflexible approach to immediate cancellations is deeply concerning. **Buyer beware**: Make absolutely certain you won't need your money back before paying. This UPS Store location is great. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I'm usually in and out in no time when I stop in to mail my packages. They offer additional services but I have not had a need to use those yet. read more

I would give zero stars to be honest with you...! They charged me $1.07 to tape a 4" box that I specifically left open so they can inspect the contents.. is this insane or what that UPS would charge that much for a 4" strip of tape to ship a box using there service...??? I *heart* this UPS location, because when I walked in the other day wearing my vintage mid-'90's, straight from Long Beach "Sublime" T-shirt, the very friendly young gal at the counter said, "I love Sublime! ...awesome Tee!" That alone deserves a 5-star review, no?! Granted I have retired Sublime from my usual playlists long ago, but I shall reward this business for hiring a fellow fan that so cheerfully greeted me as I entered and made me wonder, "What can Brown do for you?" A company that can somehow make the color 'brown' cool, deserves respect. The customer service here is horrible. Went into the store at Christmas to pick up any packages and was told I had none. Come to find out my contact lens and business package was there. When I called the owner to have them sent to me, she wanted to charge me to send them out of state - even though it was their error. Finally she relinquished. Since then I have moved out of state. I let my P.O. Box expire and no plans to renew. Being out of state and also traveling for business, I was going to have a friend go in to pick up my mail or have the UPS store send it to me at my expense. I called to explain and I was told that since my P.O. Box expired (10 days prior), I had to renew it for 6 months to get my mail. When I repeated several times, I live out of state and have no need for a P.O. Box, she said "Ok, then I will just charge you 3 months and a $20 late fee" So basically, blackmailing me to pay $80 to pick up my mail. She said "these are the terms I am offering or I can return all of your mail." The owner is so focused on "nickel and diming" the customer with no desire to have good business relations within the community. I have used this place out of necessity over a few years and every time, it ALWAYS had been a challenge. That feeling of "well how bad can it get" before entering. My mistake of doing the same thing over and expecting a different result. Please use another venue for your mail services if you can! read more

We had planned to ship Home cooked food to my parent's whom are in their late 80's. With the virus situation, I wanted to make sure they had good food to eat. Yes I'm that good of a cook. Anyway, after explaining the shipment, it seemed to me they went a little out of their way to make sure everything was right. I know that's just how they work. There was another issue, my fault, the manager fixed right there on the spot. I couldn't be more grateful. read more

UPS Shocks!! Very disappointed with my encounter at this site and the store manager. I shipped my front and rear motorcycle shocks (worth $609 and $620 respectively) to NJ to have them reconditioned. Brought them in the original hard plastic box they came in with the paperwork for the work and coupons for the free refurbishment. I shipped them UPS ground because time wasn't an issue and told the young person behind the counter who processed my paperwork they were worth about $1,000. Box made it to the shipping destination busted open and taped closed with only the front shock, no rear shock or paperwork according to the receiver. Receiver called me immediately to check that it was only the one shock. I called the store in Holly Springs and was told by the manager that UPS would conduct the investigation and make a decision on my claim. I was told again by the manager that I didn't need to provide any information and that if additional information was required I would be contacted by UPS. I was not provided a claim number. After 2-weeks I contacted the manager at the store and was told that UPS had completed their investigation and that I would be contacted if and when UPS would reimburse me for the loss. 3-weeks later I received a call that a check was ready to be picked up. I received a check for $117. I called to discuss the amount with the manager at the store, and was told that I signed the shipping document that the employee had processed which stated the package contents were worth $100, not $1000. I explained that I had a receipt for the shocks, which I offered to provide at the time of the claim, and was told no. I was told that it didn't matter because I signed the paper stating it was worth $100 when it shipped. I contacted UPS customer service who told me this is a franchise store and provided contract services for UPS, not directly affiliated with UPS. UPS will not provide proof of my claim because they contract with the franchise and I have no rights as a consumer with UPS because the contract to ship was with the franchise store and not with me. If you are gong to ship with this store, make sure you check the paperwork thoroughly. I didn't and it cost me. UPS will not stand behind any shipping error as they contract with the store only and your payment is to the store, not UPS. The franchise that has the UPS name will not be held responsible and the store manager is unwilling to provide customer service. As I was told, "your package was shipped by our store as advertised, you signed the document saying it was worth $100, we have provided customer service and processed your claim". I live in Holly Springs, stone throw away from this store, and will now go elsewhere. read more

Notary signatures - I have been here twice in the last month to get some retirement account documents notarized They tried to double charge me both times (NC law is max $5 per signature notarized). The first time there were 2 documents. Each one had 2 signatures only 1 of which needed to be notarized, the Spousal Consent signature. Therefore, 4 signatures but only 2 requiring to be notarized. They told me the fee would be $20 for the 4 signatures when they were only notarizing 2. I argued with them and told them I am only paying $10 for the actual signatures that required notarization. Today, with a different employee, I had a single form that required notarization of my spouses signature. I had already pre-signed my portion before going in because it did not require notarization. So 1 notarized signature and he tried to charge me $10 for 2 signatures. He did not witness my signature or even check my ID but tried to charge me for notarizing my signature when he only notarized my spouses which was the only one requiring notarization. He said he is notarizing all the signatures above 'the line'. That's ridiculous because not all the signatures above the line required notarization AND he didn't even follow proper procedure if he were notarizing my signature because he didn't watch me sign or check my ID. Beware if you have something notarized that they don't try to double charge you. NOT using them again. read more

I give them 1 star for helping me take my packages BACK to my car. 13 days before Christmas I wanted in to ship 3 large and 1 small box to California. First they could not guarantee delivery Before Christmas! 13 days! Then they wanted to charge me $850 to ship 3 day! I walked out. Later that night I went to FedEx in Cary where they packed my items in boxes and sent them GROUND to arrive 4 days later in California...for $200. This place is sad to try to rip off people.
