I never leave reviews. I either walk away quietly or become a loyal customer -- but in this case, I felt like I was standing in a UPS Store operating in total chaos. This UPS Store is an absolute embarrassment to the UPS brand. I paid $260 for an overnight shipment under 10 lbs -- a time-sensitive package meant for one of our restaurant locations in California. What should have been a routine transaction turned into one of the most incompetent and unprofessional experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was obvious the staff was poorly trained and completely unprepared -- a group of young clerks being micromanaged by an overbearing manager who seemed more focused on hovering than actually managing. I provided the correct address directly from Google, clearly visible on my phone. The clerk copied the street and number correctly but somehow entered a completely different city, state, and ZIP code into the system. When I discovered the error the next day, I immediately called the store. What followed was a display of incompetence, lack of communication, and zero accountability. The first employee put me on hold mid-conversation while helping another customer. After multiple calls, I finally reached the original clerk, Ivan, who put me on another long hold and promised to call back -- which, of course, never happened. Hours later, I called again and encountered the same level of disorganization and immaturity. Another employee could barely handle a phone call. After several holds, the manager finally took over and delivered one of the most dismissive responses imaginable: "Sorry sir, you confirmed the address, so there's nothing we can do." Not a single acknowledgment of her staff's mistakes or lack of basic attention to detail -- just an excuse and indifference. No apology. No ownership. No empathy. This location is a case study in failed management, nonexistent training, and complete disregard for customer experience. UPS Corporate should seriously investigate whoever owns or operates this store and re-evaluate their hiring and training standards. What's happening here is unacceptable on every level. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind, avoid this location at all costs. There's a reason their reviews hover around 3.5 stars -- and frankly, that's generous. Take my advice: go FedEx. They at least know how to read, listen, and take responsibility. read more

I came to this UPS Store because they have mailboxes. I was going out of town because my daughter was having a kidney transplant. The first thing I asked was do I need to fill out a Hold Mail while I'm gone, and was told to call and let them know when I'll return. My daughter had the kidney transplant and I called September 19th and told the young man my daughter had the kidney transplant and I would be home on the 30th. He said no problem and my package would be here when I returned. Well, not so. I was given a package that arrived on the 25th of September but not the one for the 19th. I asked where was the package I was told would be there? A long haired guy looked it up and at first said they do not keep packages for people that don't have a mailbox. The name was not familiar. I told him I DO HAVE A MAILBOX! Then he said they only keep packages two weeks. I told him it's two weeks now, and I called to said I was coming in that day. He said he scanned my package Friday and it was returned. I have had this mailbox since July! He can't know everyone that has a box. What's the reason to call in if he's not going to hold the box a day?? Now my gift will be late and I hope the company sends it back. This is totally unacceptable!! Incredibly high turn over of staff. Unorganized with sorting of mail and packages. Out of all ups stores I have utilized the absolute worst customer service. Mail is often sorted in wrong box and not delivered for more than 90 days. When you complain you are the issue not them. Zero accountability. When you bring issues up staff is even ruder. Line is always long. I drive past multiple other locations that are better. Unfortunately chose here for company mail amd it seems to get worse every year. I have been a customer for over a decade. Today spoke with manager and her manager. Speechless from that conversation. Utterly baffled. Kirby and Bissonnet location is not far and so much better. read more

If I could give a half star I would. While the people in the store are nice, the price and service are horrible. I shipped a box on 1/2 and it wasn't shipped from the store until 1/6 (you can track your packages)...a whole 4 days later. The items were few and they charged me almost $60. The expected delivery date was supposed to be 1/5. It can't get delivered on that date if it doesn't leave the facility until a whole day after the delivery date. Save your money and go to USPS, FedEx, anything but UPS. read more

I printed two labels from their in store computer and used the computer for at max 5 minutes to print 2 labels and was charged $3.50 for printing even though I should only be charged 10 cents per page. First let me state, I never write reviews. But my experience has been very disappointing. First I came in the store to ship a bottle of wine, I was told my the lady at the counter that they don't shop wine, but I could go to the UPS hub store (30 minutes away) for it to be shipped. So I did, as soon as I got to the HUB (immediately after leaving first store), I found out it was closed from 12-4. A well trained employee would have warned me. Whenever I go to UPS I'm in and out quick - just scan n go. What sucks is how horrible the parking lot is. It's so broken down with a lot of horrible patch jobs, it's also very very tiny and right off a busy road. Getting in and out is a pain, so I normally go to the farther one especially during the Christmas time. Small UPS store with friendly staff. The lady who helped me out here gave me great recommendations and actually saved me money on packaging. Like other reviewers have mentioned, parking is horrible here. The side of the store has a huge empty parking lot attached to it but they don't want UPS customers parking in any of them! And I definitely wouldn't try to park there because as I was walking out of the store I saw a tow truck parked right on the side waiting! So I recommend parking across the street in front of the Luby's parking lot and walking over. read more

Oh Em Gee. This parking lot sucks. I normally don't factor parking into my reviews since I think Houstoninans need to get over the fact that sometimes you gotta walk or valet. However ... this UPS Store is in a tiny lot with three parking spaces - one for the handicapped and one that's blocked by a curb - and they're all right up against Waugh ... so good luck successfully backing out and not getting hit by oncoming traffic. So, if you do visit this location, park in the lot next door and walk over. This place keeps busy - I think five cars all pulled in at the same time - so don't come here in a rush. read more

It seems that I always show up after they close on Saturday, and I seem to forget that they are closed on Sunday. Sigh. This is not their fault, but mine. So here is it 30 minutes before closing and no one can answer the phone. The first call I placed I got the answering service. The second call I placed someone picked up the phone and promptly hung it up. So I called back. Got the answering service again. "If you know your parties extension dial it now. If you do not know your parties extension please dial 0 0." So I hit 0 0. What came next baffled me. "Please dial your parties extension." WTH?! My question is this...it's still business hours, so why isn't anyone answering the phone?! Pure laziness that's why. Guess I'm making a trip in the morning. Not happy and extremely annoyed. Not only did these guys charge me for the packaging but it took exactly 44 minutes from the time I walked in. The lady who was supposedly helping me had no clue what she was doing. UPS provides terrible service generally. This place tries but does the same. They've lost a package that their site says is at this store. I don't know a worse failing for a package company. Bad enough they dropped a notice saying it's not being delivered to my home and then don't provide enough info on the notice to locate the package. Frustrating. I'm a regular at this location and Ashley is always a delight to work with. She gets everything I need done taken care of with little to no work to me. She makes sure everything is packaged correctly and I've never had a broken item. I'm always greeted with a smile from her. Such a great manager. I will say though that there are a lot of Spanish speaking employees that I've encountered, but all they did was speak Spanish, and I don't so it made me feel a little out of the loop with what was going. Like most everyone else said, the service here is spot on. Nice staff and they're really quick to help you with whatever you need. It's a small location with very limited parking but I've found over the years that small places usually give the best customer service. The only part I really don't like, and I guess this applies to all UPS Stores, is their pricing. They are way more expensive than Kinkos FedEx or the post office. Geez, $13 to ship a really small 4-page packet to Florida! And that was the standard ground rate. Their other prices on printing, copies, etc are higher than others as well. However, in the spirit on ending on a high note, if you're going to be overcharged, at least let it be a good experience. The ladies that work behind the counter are very helpful and cheerful. They taped my package for me and assisted me with printing my QR code. The worst experience ever my car was towed from the side parking because there is parking spaces that have a sign that says "NO UPS STORE PARKING" so misleading when your in a rush all you're reading is "UPS store parking" you never notice the "NO" I had a full day of appointments scheduled at work waiting for me not only it was a loss for me but I also a total disappointment because a short trip to that store became a nightmare I had to go all the way to Harwin & 59 to pick up my car had to pay $230 to get it out plus the towing company AMERICAN WRECKER just drag my car and damaged the front bumper, those cars are to be towed in a flat bed witch they didn't care for all they care they are trying to make a pay check, the person that runs this UPS STORE is allowing this to happen because no one said anything, so uncalled for is a lot of money to go deal with such bad customer service specially the lady with the eyepatch (so rude). While I was waiting for my son to come pick me up with tears in my eyes feeling violated no one in that store ever said "we apologize for the inconvenience, NOTHING WAS EVER said to me I had food/drinks in the car that were spilled when the car was towed plus when I was there I had to tell all the customers that were parking on that side of the building not to park there that they would be towed because the employees won't tell you anything "not to park there" like if they don't know that happens all the time. They must have a deal with the towing company not to say anything because they must get some sort of commission from it, I am extremely disappointed.
