7/22/26 UPS Store 4800 Whitesburg Drive Suite 30, Huntsville,AL 35802 I asked them to shipped my package to California but they shipped it back to me. They refused to give refund or shipped it for free. They said it's all my fault. I'm not the one typing the information in the computer. My box was clearly labeled. The manager is horrible. Just when you think the service at the Post Office is the worst, this UPS location says "hold my beer." After renting a PO box, and confirming several times that my mail could easily be forwarded to my current travel location by simply giving them a call, I spent 3 months trying to get my mail forwarded with NO luck. Dozens of phone calls resulted in a "you'll have to talk to the manager" response, but the manager was NEVER in the store. Multiple messages were left for the manager to return my calls over 3 months, and not one call was returned. I'm saddened to learn that all of the Huntsville locations are owned by the same person. The franchise owner should be ashamed to know that the Post Office offers superior service to their business. read more

I ordered drinking glasses from Amazon. They came in looking like 2nd hand rejects with hairline cracks visible in the glass. I took the return package to the UPS Store. There were 3 people in line ahead of me. The line moved quickly. When I was called up to the counter, I explained I had an Amazon return. In less than a minute I was walking out of the store with a return label for my records. Kudos to The UPS Store and Amazon for streamlining the return process. read more

Y'all, these reviews are a bit unfair. A lot of the reasons for the negativity aren't the store's fault--and yes, there are several areas that could use improvement (but again, not the employee's fault!). I shopped here during the great Christmas rush of 2022. I had to return a package, and y'all it was mayhem--think 40 people in line with it going out the door. The folks manning the registers were friendly, did the best they could, and honestly were dealing with some nasty, mean customers. Today nearly had a snafu of epic proportions. I had placed a print order, the status never showed anything other than "user submitted" or some such, and they were not answering the phone for over 24 hours. So, I just drove over there. WARNING: this store cannot accept print orders right now, despite the UPS website letting you place them. They do not have toner (that's the owner's fault, not the employees). DO NOT PLACE A PRINT ORDER HERE. It will get lost in the system, you will be confused, and you will show up--like I did--and be told "we can't do this." However! The staff could see I was about to burst into tears (this was an over $800 order) and they got the manager in ASAP. She worked with me, we got another store to fill the order same day, and all was fine. Patience, people. Patience. These is an understaffed store and the owner has them understocked. You'll have a much better experience if you don't Karen out. read more

Horrible .. so bad the manager Chris WALKED OUT after years!! Staff is all young girls with no customer care experience, lack of knowledge, very slow (except one), and way too many at once when there are no customers. I help pay your salary- don't argue with me over your stupidity. THE SAME MANAGER THAT REPLIED TO THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS-EXPLAINING THEM AWAY & DEFENDING THE OWNER-QUIT -WALKED OUT!!!! Now if that's not a sign of OH HECK NO--????? $22 to mail a regular letter-NO THANKS! For some reason, now, this ups has added a revolving door-The turnover rate is very high making quality very low which is a change from about 2 years ago. They charged me for tape. I brought an Amazon return and the lady said she would have to charge me for tape! They don't even have it in the system. It rings up miscellaneous charge. I asked how they figure the charge out since they aren't measuring the tape and she said the first piece of tape is 3 dollars. But she couldn't define what the length was supposed to be. Sounds like a scam. If you have the option find another place to mail your stuff from. read more

Extremely anti 2nd amendment policy. I tried to ship a rifle scope to be repaired and the manager of this store refused to accept the package. Not a firearm, just a scope, which you can buy over the counter, unregulated, at any sporting goods store. I was told their policy is anything firearm related they won't ship. Ridiculous. Fed Ex was happy to get my business and any future business. read more

Hi, I don't usually do reviews unless I have something good to say. I am going to make an exception today. I won an item at a local Auction House, the auction house was awesome ( Alpha Auction), however their shipper IS NOT! I am in the business of buying and selling antiques. I use UPS Stores everywhere in the country and they are usually very friendly and reasonable. This would be the exception! My item was transported by the Auction house to their store, normally I have the store pack the item and then I email a shipping label. This store refused to pack my item unless I was using their shipping. After I reluctantly agreed to let them ship it , they quoted me a price three times I have ever been quoted on a similar item! I was being held hostage by this store and they knew it was a horrible quote! I refused to give in to their blackmail and requested the item to be taken to a different store. Please DO NOT waste your time here, they want to take advantage of you. If you are an auction customer, steer clear! Rule of thumb: Always get a quote in advance or they will try to take advantage of the situation. Great staff and great service. This location is close to my office and I frequently need to ship items back to suppliers. The staff here is knowledgeable, fast and courteous. Shipped package this morning. Was immediately greeted on entering the store, and got a "May I help you." directing me to the service counter. No issues. Was on my way out in less that 10 minutes. Guess I have time for a hair cut. And I feel good enough to go have a cup of coffee. read more

Over Christmas 2021, I left a VM for this store. They never called me back. I left another VM. I went in. The manager told me they were too busy to do any callbacks. Well, this gives me a good idea of the view of the customers. I went in this month. I was quoted 6$ each for ten packages. I didn't mail that day because the following day was Saturday, and the businesses I was mailing were closed. I went in on a Saturday and was quoted between 10-15$ for each, and they couldn't explain why. I said, fine, I'll pay it, and the mgr asked me to leave the store. I am a great person and work well with almost all people, but this guy is unbelievable. This is for the Huntsville, AL store in Whitesburg. I went to the other store in town, and they mailed all ten for me, two-day delivery, and it was a total of $41.00 read more

We made an appointment online for notary service. We scheduled it for 9:30am. I walked in at 9:23, and let the man behind the counter know I was there for the appointment. He responded, "The notary doesn't get here until 10." I replied, "I made an appointment for 9:30." He said, "General manager gets here about 9:50. That's the way it is. Sorry." That's was it. No further information or help was available. We had important documents that needed to be mailed and notarized today. My husband and our notary witness took off work to do it. We were lucky enough to find someone else who was immediately available, and happy to assist. Very unfortunate experience. read more

I showed up admittedly right before closing time, but still before the turn of the hour when they close. They were already pulling the gate down in front of the lobby to lock up. I knocked on the window, as my package was already secured and my shipping label pre-printed. I didn't even care if it went out that day, it just needed to be scanned. They wouldn't even look at me at first, they just turned and looked the other way. Finally when I knocked a third time one girl turned to me and just gave me a big X with her arms, then turned away again. read more

The customer service was not very helpful. I haven't had a printer at the house for years. I have a soft copy of a UPS label from Amazon and asked if they could print it out. I suggested that I could bring it on a CD. They declined. I'll wait till Monday and print it at work. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. These folks are always nice, greet me as I walk in and help with the door when my arms are loaded. When they raised their fee for their boxes, they advised well ahead of time, and offered to grandfather me in if I signed for a year. read more

**Use the Winchester drive location, the employees/staff are very friendly and efficient!!!!** Very poor customer service and very rude employees! I was very disappointed in the lies and lack of professionalism and I believe that this one guy that works there (possibly the owner) has a serious anger/self-consciousness issue. Also, in my opinion (I own a business), it is a very good indication that the owner is not the best businessperson when he/she has to use so many negative words in retaliation to the customer to try and defend themself. I am a God-fearing Christian and mean no undue disrespect, but this place is seriously a joke. Please pray for this man!!!! Wife and I needed to mail a package. All local USPS locations had already closed on a Saturday. Stopped here and was in and out in 5 minutes. Of course there wasn't much of a crowd but we were very pleased with the customer service and helpful attitude of our attendant. Will definitely use again. read more

If you have your own UPS account, don't bother coming here because you can't use it or any discounts that UPS normally gives you.

WARNING: UPS stores are NOT official UPS outlets. They are completely independent and have nothing to do with UPS. They are resellers of services and there is a huge markup above what UPS or the USPS are charging. Do not believe them if they try and convince you that their shipping rates are the going rates for the companies they ship with. They will not disclose this information to you unless pressed, and I was deceived by them into thinking that the quote I received on the UPS website for mailing my packages was wrong. Then, after questioning the cost they quoted me, they said I could ship USPS with them. They quoted OUTRAGEOUS rates for a 15lb and 18lb box- 250.00 and 275.00 respectively, to which I said no. Only after I questioned the manager did he admit that UPS Stores merely hold a UPS account that customers use to ship when they use a UPS Store, and there is a "substantial markup" for customers. He also finally admitted when pressed that UPS Stores are not in any way affiliated with UPS. I took my boxes to the Post Office and I mailed them directly with them for 126.40 and 147.00 respectively. This feels like theft by deception and you should avoid these stores in favor of the actual companies. read more

I had 2 returns from an Amazon Order. I printed out the 2 bar codes on a sheet of paper and went inside for what I thought would be a quick and easy return. Chris, the assistant manager, was so incredibly rude and made the return more difficult than it needed to be. There were other workers present, so if anyone in management really wants to know how rude this guy is, all they have to do is ask them! read more

The lady who answered didn't know what that was, and was very rude talking to me about it once she did figure out what it was. Watched the owner chase someone out the store for calling him gay, and some of the people their are rude as hell!!! This place is a blight on Huntsville, people should never be treated like this! I purposely drive out of my way to stay away from this, and I suggest you do the same. Update: after the so called owner says this review is fake and that I contradict myself I will make this clear for the less educated to understand! I purchased an Oculus Rift and they shipped via UPS, it says it'll be here in 2 days due to the express delivery option. Well I work nights, so I stayed up after getting off work and waited for my package. I wait all day and then I see the UPS truck going by around 4 pm. It drove right past my house and I tried to wave him down but he just waved back and didn't stop. Then 2 hours later I get an alert at 6:30 saying that it's delayed and won't be able to be deliverered till Monday. Which is a day I work. I chose express for a reason. Told her to go elsewhere in the future. Said this in front of 2 other customers. This store advertises drop off service. They make $1.00 per package dropped off. This UPS store has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. After a frustrating visit today to scan items to a USB thumb drive, with a machine that wasn't operating properly, I was told to not return to the store. Under no circumstances of frustration (frustration, I am not referring to bad behavior) is customer service resolved by telling a customer to not return. I was in a pinch and needed a place that was close to where I was staying while out of town dealing with personal paper work - this was my only option.
