Absolute Nightmare - Avoid at All Costs! ​Rating: (0/5 if I could) ​Signing up with this mailbox service has been an absolute disaster and a massive liability for my personal and professional life. ​Two weeks after I signed up, I went to collect some incredibly important mail. Instead of getting my letters, I was told the business was closed due to a fire in the building. While accidents happen, their complete lack of accountability, organization, and basic customer service since then has been completely unacceptable. ​Here is what you can expect if you trust these people with your mail: ​Zero Access & Disorganization: They claimed all the mail was trapped inside but "hadn't been sorted yet." It has now been a month and a half (6+ weeks), and they still haven't figured it out. ​Clueless, Unhelpful Staff: Every time I go down there to get an update, there is an older gentleman who gives me the exact same dismissive lines: "We don't know when we will open" and "We don't know if we have received any mail for you." They show zero urgency. ​Lost & Returned Mail: Because of their incompetence, several of my time-sensitive, crucial documents are now completely missing or have been bounced back to the senders. ​Stole My Money: To top it all off, they refuse to take responsibility, they offer no solutions, and they refused to refund the money I paid for the mailbox rental. ​They took my money, locked away my private correspondence, and essentially went radio silent. They are holding my mail hostage and keeping my fee for a service they are actively failing to provide. ​Bottom line: If you value your time, your money, and your important documents, do not ever use this service. Just in a nick of time. Made it to the UPS store for it closes at 7pm. Got there around 6:40 pm. There was a line outside. This is a very busy UPS store. Only two staff members at the counter. FYI the line moves and staff come out to gauge how many patrons on line prior to store closing. Staff helpful when asked when package will arrive to destination. Got a receipt. Supposed to open at 9, been here since 8:45 and it's now 9:25am. Standing in line with about 20 or so other people waiting outside on a random Tuesday (non-holiday), still no sign of anyone opening the store anytime soon. read more

Many reviews have stated this but this has got to be the slowest ups in nyc. Unless you're extremely lucky, plan to wait at minimum 20 minutes. Not sure how they manage to provide such slow service every time but they deliver read more

This place is pretty much hit or miss! Since this is the only UPS store in the area you don't have much choice on going elsewhere. I've been here numerous times only to drop off packages with prepaid labels and giving this place 3 stars is pretty fair. The employees don't really interact with you much just take the box, scan it and send you on your way. The only thing that bothers me about this place is that there's a huge mess. Once you drop off the package it just lays there where anyone can go in grab it and walkout with it. I know it's a small place but atleast secure our packages a little better than what you have. Also they move rather slow and line starts to build up. I walked in and waited few minutes to drop off a package once I walked outside there was a line of about 7 people. This place needs to really improve because what the heck. Idk why I'm waiting 27minutes on line to return one thing that caused me to be late for another thing. Anywho, very inconvenient and inconsistent. There should be two lines dealing with two separate things. I find the service here unbelievable, slow and terrible. It was my first time here and using their drop off service. I had two packages that needed to be returned to Amazon and only at the UPS stores can they scan the provided QR codes to print out shipping labels. (Not at staples drop offs and etc) The store front at night was way too dark...they need some kind of lighting or request for a street lamp from the city lol The UPS driver was there with his cart, and a mountain full of packages near the door; But he left enough space for me to enter, so I have no complains about that. My experience here was swift and efficient, literally was in and out after the QR codes were scanned. But granted, I went 30minutes before closing so there was no line. Con: I only wish she had given me a print out when I inquired about it, as prove of drop off today. But she said Amazon should email me after its scanned. They close at 7pm, it's now about 810pm and I havent gotten any email from Amazon about my drop off; now I'm sitting here hoping nothing goes wrong with my returns ...... read more

Absolutely terrible service by an older Asian lady. I go to the ups frequently but just happens I need to return an item near that location. This is the first time I was ever tried to be charged for a strip a tape to close a package. She tried to charge $3 just for a strip of tape. I understand if it was for an envelope but she said a strip of tape is too much tape. This please needs to be closed down or go under new management. Every time I am forced to use this store there is a line of 30 people and a 40-minute wait and they do nothing to fix the problem. I honestly wish it would close so the neighborhood wouldn't be forced to use it. They made me wait behind a customer who was outside the store after I walked in. They charged me a $5.00 cash fee to pickup a package that I' paid to ship from Florida. My protest fell on the critical ear of the manager who said the store was busy enough that it didn't matter what I had to say. This location is WAY too small for this area. I am currently standing on a line of twenty people which is the case more often than not. And its generally like this most of the day, six days a week. There is usually only one person working at a time as is the situation right now. When someone takes more than a minute or two the whole line starts getting annoyed and looks inside to see what's happening. I really wish there was another location within reasonable walking distance. Additionally, services like notary and printing is often down. This location needs to expand and visit the Sunnyside location to learn how a UPS Store should be run. read more

The lines are very long and the wait time is at least 30 minutes. The elderly lady who works there is rude and disrespectful. She yells at people and waves her hand at them to get out as if she's dismissing a dog. After forty minutes in line, carrying a heavy box, the last thing customers want is to be shooed away as if they've done something wrong or they're being punished. Whatever happened to treating the customers with respect? They need customers more than the customers need that specific store. Customers can go elsewhere to drop off. UPS cant move the store to follow their customers. Please learn that being rude and dismissive is bad business! Period. Is it too much to get treated with a little decency when someone's spending their money at a store? People in the past didn't think so. Paid to have documents printed there. Was charged for same and received an email saying the job was complete. Went there to pick up documents at 5:45PM, the guy working said they have new hours - they now close at 5:30PM on weekdays - and after describing my own document to me - said that there was no job waiting to be picked up. When I showed him my email receipt he said it wasn't his problem, turned around, and walked away. There is no call, no need to help a local business when the customer service there is this bad. Anywhere - and everywhere else - is a better place to print & ship than UPS Store 6051. read more

Updating my review from 2017. Last week, I went to this UPS store to send an Express International package (about $90USD). By the end of day I realized that I forgot to include the apartment number! I was panicked - but I called store and explained my situation. The clerk asked me to email the correct address. He called me back promptly to let me know a new shipping label was printed and it was going out for delivery. The recipient received the package without any issues. Long line outside on a sweltering summer day to return items. Someone come outside and get creative. Totally unacceptable.

They constantly make customers feel like we're bothering them. There's one or two that are nice but the rest have terrible attitudes.

Overworked and understaffed-- you can expect a 40 minute wait, outside in whatever weather. Not good. Go to another branch.

The workers are really rude and miserable. I went yesterday morning when it was not too busy and I got my phone snatched from me because the worker couldn't scan the QR code, I've been in customer service/ retail jobs since I was 15 for about 7 years and never provided such rude customer service, their attitude is horrible and will never be returning to this location. read more

Came here twice to ship different shipments. Every time a came here, the place was fast and swift. The place is quite efficient.

Most people think this place is terrible but it's because they all come here to have their labels printed for them. If you print your own label to drop off a package you can drop it off and skip the line, just let them know it's for drop off when you walk in and they let you know you where to leave it. Trust they always can and send your items on time. I come here all the time and always have labels pre printed and never have any trouble with this location. If you're looking for a receipt of drop off than you probably will be waiting in line also. It is a small location but there are several other shipping locations nearby that work with ups. If you don't want to wait then try somewhere else! read more

I've only had to use this location as a "drop-off site" and they're always helpful and courteous, but today they went above and beyond the call of duty. I brought in package meant as a return to an amazon.com vendor, but was notified by the counter person that prepaid postage was meant to be sent by USPS. Now this my bad completely for not checking, but the gentleman packaged it and sealed the postage slip/label for me so I could bring it to USPS all ready. He was a doll, so helpful!! If ZERO stars were an option - I would've selected it! This UPS location has to be one of the worst of not "" "thy WORST " - there is always a huge line outside, that barely moves & only one person working inside. And they don't care if you're outside in inclement weather - they refuse to bring someone else to assist the clerk. I once called the manager & he claimed that because of COVID he couldn't have anyone working aside from that one clerk. But that's not true - they've always had just one person receiving the packages - even before the pandemic. If they really wanted to expedite the process - they could've installed a partition between the employees - ( same as other businesses have done to accommodate the influx of people.) & bring another clerk. Business is good for them - they have no need to treat their customers with respect. read more

So.. I have heard of $0.10 per print out, $0.25 per print out.. even $1.00 per print out. But the manager here charged me $3.00 just to use the machine! Plus printout fees on top. She wasn't nice about it either.. rather nasty. machine couldn't recognize my pdf files correctly so the printouts went to trash. She still charged me full. I spent some good dollars on a sour experience... There is a smaller copy and ship place nearby called Digiplus Inc. that does everything for much cheaper and faster with better attitude. go there. read more

This place seems to offer the regular services you would expect from a UPS store, but I don't find them to be trustworthy. The price when I am shipping seems like it's arbitrary. I just have the feeling they are screwing around with things (weight of the box, or whether the shipment is going to business or residential) in order to charge more. When I question things, the price magically seems to go down, but why was it high in the first place, and why should I have to question the price in order to get it reduced to what I should have been quoted in the first place? read more

Worst customer service ever! Walked in with a package with a pre-paid slip. There was a lightly tanned, slightly chubby guy with glasses and a combover haircut on the phone so I asked the Asian representative in the back and he said, he was busy so I just waited on the side. 5 mins later, the guy on the phone takes my package, scans it and hands me a receipt. It took him 2 seconds but he just made me stand there. He wasn't even talking about something serious on the phone, just what days the store was open, insurance policy and other minor details available on the UPS web page. When I asked him why he didn't just scan the item and give me a receipt especially when I asked his coworker. He said he was busy on the phone. But he scanned my package WHILE he was on the phone in 2 seconds. HORRIBLE service. Never using this UPS location again. This would never have happened in USPS and even their self-ship kiosks are more efficient. read more

If there was a negative star rating I would leave that. I called to ask the hours and the cross street of the store location and was rudely yelled at by a woman. She yelled, "You don't know where we are?" Lady, if I were psychic or had a crystal ball, perhaps but if I had the answer to that question why would I bother to call. That wasn't the worst, the store personnel then hung up on me. I had to call back twice to get her to give me the whereabouts of their location. I have never been so rudely treated in all my life. Isn't the whole purpose of owning or working in a store to serve and get a customers business? Why be so nasty and negative? I am only dropping off at UPS to return something on Amazon. They specified the shipper, if it were up to me I never ever would use them again. Hopefully this store would go out of business. I picked up two packages that for delivered here using the "click and collect" service. As per the store I ordered from I had free shipping. When I arrived to the UPS store. I was told that I had to pay $5 for each package because I don't have a mailbox with them. I told them that no where in the store website's I order from said that and I got free shipping. UPS couldn't explain further. It really sounded as they are trying to get extra money anyway they can.... lack of transparency. This place is HORRIBLE... we had to schedule an appointment for notary services and for printing at 9 AM. Their customer service representative lazily shows up at 9:05 barely able to get the store ready for the day. He informs us that the notary is not available after we had scheduled an appointment online and they confirmed it. Afterwards we attempted to print something and their printer would not work. He very rudely told us off...whoever he is, he should not be working in customer service. Last time I ever go to this terrible place.
