The level of disrespect and lack of ownership when an issue arose was horrendous. I sent a package…read moreto my family Europe which somehow went missing. For weeks I called John at Postal Dispatch who assured me nothing was wrong with the package. Finally after waiting MONTHS after sending the package and my sister not receiving it he finally agreed to open a claim. I am still waiting nearly 6 months later to be refunded for the items that were sent and never delivered. John has since stopped returning phone calls or responding to my emails. I am appalled that a business owner finds this sort of behavior to be appropriate when he assures excellent service or refund. I will NEVER ship with this company again and encourage nobody else who is looking to send items to do so either.

He appears irritated to have been bothered with a UPS customer. In the first instance, the manager made to refuse service when the Amazon vendor return label was sent slightly askew that covered a sliver of the vacant margin. He claimed it was necessary to scan the unobstructed QR code. Challenged, I asked what information was missing from the blank label margin. Challenged, he finally took the return UPS package without comment. Recent incident, he claimed the UPS QR was an enhanced code and the company negligently failed to upgrade the scanner. Taken to an (real) UPS Store, I was informed no QR upgrades were instituted by UPS - agreeing that Postal Dispatch was "blowing smoke ...". An attempt was made to identify the owner; however, BBB MN and a google search offered insufficient customer support. The Postal Dispatch website posted a chat link requiring customers submit full credit card information for a refundable dollar to inform - a phishing scam that disappeared when the site was refreshed. A complaint wasn't planned until I saw the dissatisfied customer ratings. Inquiring with another employee in the manager's absence, I was told he tended to be an "anxious" personality. Customer beware.

I had them package and ship a computer I was selling. The packaging was clearly inadequate with the 27" screen being protected mostly by a sheet of cardboard (!). Very little packing material was used around the computer (an all-in-one with the CPE in the monitor). Predictably, the package seems to have been dropped on its corner, shattering the screen. When I complained, I was told (a) they packaged it the way they were "told to" (b) dropping the package was the responsibility of UPS Corporate, not the franchise. So this meant (a) it was not their fault and (b) it was not their fault. Based on my previous experience with The UPS Store (under the earlier ownership) I made the mistake of not getting additional insurance. So now I am out several hundred dollars for a trashed computer and it seems that is somebody else's fault. I will not be using this service again.

Seems I'm to be the first and only review on this page at present. Unfortunately, mine will not be…read morea kind voice. My first encounter with this business was a package pickup. I'd also started shopping for a new mailbox location, and Burnsville had become a regular destination. I've always picked up on persuasion attempts and money motivation pretty quickly - particularly overly friendly voices a touch too excited - and I've hated the sound of it since I was young. I'm a branding and marketing professional now, which means I pick up on it even better these days, and it doesn't annoy me any less. It was actually why I left that day without signing on for a mailbox. After discussing with the person who'd be sharing the box, we decided that this location would be most logical. The day I went in to create my account, I met Ryan. Normally, we don't much consider our UPS representatives. Over the next several visits, however, Ryan would completely impress me with his attentiveness. I dropped by once to pick up packages and Ryan followed to my car to notify me that he'd just processed another package that'd arrived for me. On any occasion I pulled into the parking lot after that and he wasn't swamped by a line, my packages were already at the counter waiting. Even when Ryan did have a line going, he'd at times run back and have the packages ready if there was a pause when he'd need to wait for the customer to complete a process of some kind. Did I mention that he started sporting a hell of a leg injury and never let up on his quality of service? Truly, this guy was on top of it. In contrast, I'd actively avoid interacting with the owner every time he was around, stalling to let someone else go first to speak with whoever else happened to be there instead. The mailbox lapsed without my knowledge months before I dropped by to claim packages. The owner was the only person onsite and notified me of the overdue before processing my packages. He claimed I should have had a letter in my mailbox notifying me of the charge. I was holding every piece of mail from the past several months since before the lapse, and there was nothing of the sort. Rather than acknowledge this, he brushed it aside and said I should have had it. I found this as unprofessional and off-putting as his demeanor with dollar signs in his eyes the first time we met. I chose to talk to the other individual sharing the mailbox before making a decision on continuing the service, as I no longer had need of it but definitely appreciated Ryan's level of service enough that the cost didn't bother me. There was a lot going on on my end at the time with a felony assault case, and the mailbox lapse, well, lapsed. I didn't receive email reminders. As I hadn't used the address in months even before its lapse, it was certainly not at the forefront of my mind given pressing matters at hand. I don't mean that to be dismissive of my accountability. Rather, I would imagine that creating a better renewal process might alleviate these issues entirely. Weeks later, I received a call from the owner reminding me of the matter. I pass the message to the other party sharing the mailbox, as a storage unit of mine had just been broken into and had my full attention. The other party never followed up. I found out that two of my packages had ended up there months ago, before my encounter with the owner. I never received them from the owner, so I'd thought the packages had been able to be forwarded as I'd originally requested of the senders. I ended up making the hour-long trip back to the area I was never in anymore to claim them. In doing so, I asked Ryan if it was possible to keep my information on file for ease of reopening an account from afar if necessary. It would seem the owner thought this was a ploy to get out of paying charges for picking up packages without an active mailbox. His exact words as picked up by my auto-recorder that activates the moment I'm on a call: "We're not going to be played like that." Safe to say, he assumed I was asking that question as a ruse hoping to string them along to skirt the package pickup fees. I only regret running into the store with only keys in hand as was always my habit there, so I did have to run back out for my wallet for the charges I fully expected to pay before I drove the hour it took to get there and be insulted. To say I'm appalled is an understatement. I admit to having the thought that it would be interesting if my file disappears after this review. I did not expect to have to pursue a felony assault charge or have it affect my life for months on end, nor have that followed by a break-in that would throw loop and hoops my way. I don't expect others to make room for this. I do, however, very much expect professionalism and character in business services, and the atrocious manner in which this was verbally handled in front of the customer was absolutely unacceptable. Owner = 0. Ryan = 5. Unfortunate.
