Wanted to charge my husband money to tape a box that they destroyed. They delivered my ottoman heavily damaged (box and ottoman) and when my husband went to ship it back they wanted to charge $3+ just to tape the box. Edit to add: you want to charge money to tape a box that was destroyed by UPS , I'm sorry but UPS did not provide excellent service when my package was delivered heavily damaged and when I tried to return it, the way I received it from UPS, you want to charge extra money to tape it. I go there often to take my Amazon returns back and they are always friendly and helpful. I've also have used them for shipping items.

!!! Please be very careful shipping any certified mail to this location!!! I can see why this location has so many 1 star reviews. It's extremely disorganized and can't be trusted with your certified mail. I followed the package tracking every day to confirm it had arrived at this location. Once tracking showed it had arrived, I call this location to confirm it was there. I was told by a gentleman that the package was not there and to contact the main UPS support line. After calling the main UPS support line, I discovered that it had indeed been delivered to the correct location and that is was signed-for (UPS gave me the last name of the person who signed for the package). I called the same UPS store and spoke with the original gentlemen again. I explained that the UPS support line did confirm that is had been delivered to that store four days prior and gave the person's last name that singed for the package. The gentleman I was talking to, was the same person that originally signed for my certified package. The gentleman start looking for my certified mail again and within three minutes found it. He explained to me my name and phone wasn't easy to read on the package label, which is why they couldn't reach out to me. He then proceed to tell me that I owed $5 for each day the package sat in the store and that I could pay when I picked it up. Once I had arrived at this location to pick-up my package, I noticed that my full name and phone number was on the UPS label. Zero issues with reading the name or phone number. I asked this gentlemen, when he signed for the certified packages, did he confirm the details matched what he was signing for or not. He said they try to by the end of the day, but in this situation they were to busy. I asked if this was the stores policy, to acknowledge/sign for that the certified item but then tell a customer they didn't receive the package. Sadly, he had no answer and wouldn't own the mistake he had made. If I didn't follow up with UPS support myself and point out that this gentleman was complete wrong. This store practices would have lost certified mail. I would be extremally concerned for customers that have important medication or legal documentation shipped certified to this 10600 S. This UPS store is very clean, organized and it's located in a pleasant area. It's very easy to drop off packages, buy packing supplies, etc. and then pop over to the grocery store on your way home. It's also located near a Panera so a coffee and some bagels is another great idea. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Most importantly they are very fast and efficient. They also give you a receipt with all of your tracking information before you leave. Definitely glad that this location is nearby. read more

I have struggled with leaving this review .... The staff is very friendly. The store is organized and bright. Here is my issue - don't let me purchase overnight shipping for $90 when you know it won't get there due to weather or whatever else is going on. I would appreciate a little honesty and transparency when purchasing from your store. TBH something was mentioned about "we can't control if there are delays". When I tracked my package and saw it would not be there the next day I started calling UPS. When I finally googled the code words to reach a live person the gentleman I spoke to was helpful. He basically told me they are telling their vendors that overnight shipping to certain parts of the country is not happening right now. If that's what they are telling them then why did you allow me to pay $90 for overnight knowing it was not going to get there. Don't be vague - just flat out say it's not happening and here are your choices. I was able to talk to another person in the area in which I sent the package. She too was helpful and echoed what the other rep said. That package really needed to be there the next day - if you had been honest and upfront, yes I would have left and sent it second day through USPS but I would've been back down the road. Thank goodness I didn't spend the $120 to have it there before 9am the next day. read more

Horrible customer service- From the time I walked in Robert- started barking where to put my box, where to stand and what he COULD NOT do for me! I have never had issues returning things to amazon from Kohl's. He said if I needed "a lot" of tape to close the box where it was opened he would have to charge me for it (it literally required one strip of tape) and he was going to charge me to print the shipping label which amazon says they should do for free if I take an amazon return to UPS. There is a dark haired guy that works there, maybe the store manager. I actively avoid this store and will drive out of my way to avoid him. The first few times I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but every day has been a bad day. Terrible customer service. Unwilling to help or compromise. Always trying to upsale. I have no problems with UPS as a company, or UPS stores in general. Just this store when that guy is working. read more

I read the reviews on here . One of the lady did a 1 Star last year for them . I thought well I give them a try . But honestly they kind tackle you with buying boxes which I already have my box tape up n all the info send out . Still ask me dumb question n still ask if I need their box cuz mine look not strong enough ? Well I feel they trying to sell you those boxes . I'm sorry but wouldn't recommend anyone going there . I think I rather go to the main UPS facility . Because I know I they wouldn't charge 33$ for shipping n it was a standard ground shipping . And if you want 2-3 day get there he told me it going be 59$. It a franchise ups store so be careful they will try sell u things that is unnecessary. read more

I've been in here twice in the past year or so and the first time I was the only person in the store and was in and out within 2 minutes flat. I had an Amazon return so it was short and sweet. They made it SO easy! The second time I went in (Wednesday, November 6th at 5:30pm) I walked in and there were 3 people in front of me in line and within about 10 minutes there were 5 more people behind me. I felt bad for the guy helping us because he was doing a great job but I could tell he was trying to hurry and help everyone in a timely manner. Overall he did great and helped everyone but I thought it was unfortunate that he was all by himself. At no fault of the gentleman working, I spent over 20 minutes in the store for something that took 45 seconds to complete. The guy should get a raise for handling all of us by himself in such a nice, calm manner. read more

I was returning a Chegg book and didn't have a box so i had to buy one. I had everything in hand after purchasing the box: book, box and shipping slip. The only thing needed more was for it to be taped up. The guy wouldn't do it unless i bought the packaging "package" which was 8 dollars!!! He made me go all the way home to tape the box MYSELF and bring it all the way back so he could scan it. Very poor customer service. read more
