If I could give 0 stars, I would. The owner was a short Indian man and he was incredibly rude. I walked in and one of the ladies at the front asked me what I needed and I explained that I was put on a stop payment and the payroll office said it would be delivered to the ups store. She said okay and to wait a minute, that's when he approached. I repeated myself again to him and he immediately says "well this isn't your workplace, it's the ups store" in such a sour manner. Like I am very aware that I drove to the ups store not my workplace. He then asked for a tracking number and said to hold on, he walked away over to a different spot at the counter. I waited. He then came back up and said "ma'am did you need something else". Like no? I was waiting here like you asked me to do. He then said that he doesn't have my mail even though he didn't even check. I walked out then called the number that told me my paycheck was at the ups store. And get this!! The ups worker answered the phone and says "oh you were just here" then the owner comes back on the phone. The clerk refused to provide the packaging stating they are independent "independent but they still have the ups store local and business" the clerk then refused to ship my package from this location for the employer with the provided ups next day air shipping label. read more

I went to mail a birthday package to my sister today and I was harassed by the person in the store.  I had packaged some candles inside a box that I received from my wine clubs in Oregon.  The candles fit perfectly in the wine box which had the usual statement regarding wine shipments on the outside of the box (Must be 21 to accept the box etc...).  The non-gentleman asked me if this was liquid.  I said no.  He said no I can hear that it is liquid.  I told him again, no it is not liquid, it is a gift.  He than began to argue with me that he cannot mail liquid.  I told him sternly that it was not liquid and that it was a gift for my sister.  He then started to berate me that I had to sign a form that stated that I was not shipping liquid and that he had a right to open my package up and check the contents.  He than just stated that as soon as I left, he was going to open my package and see if it was liquid.  I told him that he was not going to open my package because I was not going to give him my money to ship my package. Issue #1:  Do not argue with your customers.  The customer is always correct.  Issue #2:  Do not be racist towards your customers.  Although I cannot prove it, this Indian gentleman was treating me in manner that suggested to me that he was a racist.  Little does he know; I am a physician in town, and I do not need to lie to him.  I was trying to mail my sister a package of candles for her birthday.  He should have treated his customers with the same respect and dignity that I treated him.  Issue #3:  I had already mailed another package in one of my wine containers the month prior without difficulty.  The Caucasian person took the package and my money and did not mention anything about liquid or there being an issue.  However, the only issue was that I had placed $250 gift card inside the box and when it arrived at the recipient, the gift card was not there.  My friend sent me a picture of the package because I asked if the package looked like it had been broken into and to me it looked like it was repackaged.  This may explain why someone (an arrogant Indian person) at this same UPS store had opened my box cause, they probably thought they "heard" that the box had liquid inside it.  Although I cannot prove that they stole my $250 gift card, I know that I put it inside the box and that it was not there when it arrived, and someone had repackaged my box. REVIEW: 1.  Do NOT use this UPS store.  Use Package Plus on 18th Street in town.  They are much nicer and NOT RACIST towards Minorities (Bald Italian Irish Jewish Filipino Men from Philly). 2.  Somehow, I lost a $250 gift card on my last package mailed in a used wine mailer (Beaux Freres Winery in case you were wondering - great Pinot Noir.  Now I am thinking (can't prove this) that someone went into my package to check for liquid and may have taken the card. 3.  If you do not want your package being opened after you drop them off, do NOT use the UPS store in Owensboro. 4.  USE PACKAGE PLUS STORE !! read more

Stopped off today to ship 1 package. One guy was working two registers to speed things along while the manager was doing her nails. When she came over to finish my shipment up she was very rude and nasty. Sorry but i ship to much to deal with such people and will begin using the main ups on warehouse road. I do not recommend using the ups store. read more

Everyone wishes for lowered shipping costs (keep wishing!), but UPS has got game. They're so organized and everyone knows their stuff. Friendly staff who make your errand as quick and painless as possible. UPS is UPS! I didn't notice any "brown" but it did a lot for me. Maybe I've just had two bad experiences here, but let me start with this. My company spends over $100,000/ month with UPS. I understand this is probably a privately owned store, but it is poorly managed. My first bad experience was when they refused to allow me to use my ups account number to ship on account. What kind of ups store does this?? My second occurred today. Obviously we send a ton of stuff priority, even on Saturdays. I arrive to the store at 2:52 to overnight something, so that it could arrive Monday. Not only was the door already locked, the store had been completely closed down. I understand it's Saturday, and people want to go home, but you are a business providing a service. Your door, and google said you were open until 3. Why are you allowing your employees to close early?? We have to have something notarized on Monday, so now I have to fly down to Louisiana, all because you couldn't keep your business open until the advertised sign. If you are in Owensboro, be forewarned. Just go to one of ups stores competitors. hopefully you won't run into the same problems I have. read more

I had went into the UPS store and was sending a money order from Owensboro to Daytona! It was $40 to over night it! Literally after leaving the store I immediately stopped that package! It never we out for shipping!!! Well I got to pick it back up of course!!! BUT.... Mr. Rick I think is his name anyways said I wouldn't get my $40 dollars back! That is the craziest thing I've heard!!!! Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!! How do you not give someone their money back when you didn't ship an item!!! nowhere on the receipt did it say I wouldn't be able to get that back!!!!! This is a great place to ship important stuff! Ricky was extremely helpful getting my mother's heirloom china safely to Texas! There were 12 place settings. He packed it carefully and it arrived in perfect condition. He is an expert at figuring how to pack it and box it, so I know I was not overcharged. My sister sent 8 place settings to Minneapolis and they arrived safely also. Ricky is a veteran, who is now a student and obviously has a great attitude and work ethic!
