I never thought that I would have anything as banal as a favorite UPS store, but thanks to Jay and the rest of the crew at this location, I do! Even when I lived in Logan Square and had another UPS location that was much closer, I went out of my to use this Rittenhouse location because it was always more pleasant and efficient. I've been dropping off packages at this location for years, and I've always had a positive experience. My last visit for notary services was exceptional, and Jay went out of his way to make sure that we were able to complete the docs. This UPS store is a great asset to the neighborhood! read more

Mostly just dropping off Amazon packages and pre-paid labels here, so I don't feel fully justified in giving the fifth star without having a more complex shipping need, but in my experience this place is solid! Parking is definitely the hardest part, but that's just something you should expect if you came into Center City / Rittenhouse trying to do an errand. Service: always friendly, fast, and effective. Things move so fast here that I'd be _tempted_ to not pay for my parking because I might make it back in time. But only tempted, because the PPA be sneaking up on you in the craziest ways, and I don't risk it anymore. Interior: other UPS stores kind of have a visual clutter to them that makes it sometimes hard to know where to go, or even to get around the store. This place, despite being smaller than most stores, has things organized and cleaned up to a T. No sweat figuring out where to go, and how to get things done in here. Overall: Good place to stop by if you're a local! Sounds like many others have had good experiences with more complex shipping needs. Be aware of limited parking, and the potential need to circle the block if you're not willing to just hazard in the street. read more

Over the course of two weeks, I visited multiple times for various shipping needs -- and every single time, I was met with exceptional service. Monica, Don(Tyrone...lol), Tanisha, and Jocelyn were especially outstanding. Each of them went out of their way to be helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, even during busy times. They answered all my questions thoroughly, handled everything quickly and professionally, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It's rare to find a team that consistently delivers such great customer service, but these four definitely made an impression. Gene H I came to return a package which was purchased online at a major department store. I checked with the department store and then called the UPS store to confirm that I had all the information that I needed to return a package that I had lost the return label for. The UPS store said no problem when I called. When I arrived with the package at UPS they denied ( a woman spoke to me first and then a man ) that they took my calls to confirm. Both employees were at the store when I arrived. I checked the information which I had written down, and it was correct. They said all they could do was make a new label for $20.00 even though the department store policy stated it was free. I didn't want to carry the package back home so I paid. They were disrespectful, and not at all helpful. read more

I had to mail out a gift for a holidays and just missed USPS's opening hours, so ended up at this UPS store instead. It was probably the best thing that could have happened: the employee who helped me was so kind and caring. She measured the gift box dimensions, chose a box that fit the gift almost perfectly, then carefully boxed the gift, custom-cutting the box flaps so that it fit the object inside snugly. Other customers in the store were helped in a similar manner. I was really impressed by the level of service and will definitely consider continuing to pay a little more in the future for the peace of mind. read more

Be careful as this is not really UPS - these UPS Stores are all franchises that borrow the UPS name and then blame UPS and deny responsibility if something goes wrong. I used the "Pack and Ship" team to ship an important package from here to a UPS Store in LA for pickup. The package was rejected in LA by the UPS Store and sent back to this location. It spent two weeks in transit, handled by UPS from start to finish, and didn't make it to its destination, and I was still charged for it. Neither UPS customer service nor the store were able to take responsibility or back up their service. read more

I would advise no one to ever go to a UPS store unless you are just dropping something off that is prepackaged and prepaid. I went in there with an item that I have shipped 100 times plus all over the country and never paid anywhere near as much as they charged to pack and ship it In fact it cost over 300% more The charge about triple for the box they charge a packing fee for putting 2 square of bubble wrap folded up and they charge a service fee for sttaching a label even if you print it at home and bring it to them. The funny thing is I used to work for UPS years ago on the operations side and always heard stories about how terrible it was how they were struggling because of places like amazon delivery and independent shipping store and I actually felt bad, but the difference at their competition is, is that they dont nickle and dime and overcharge you every chance the get. They dont charge you $3 for 3 cents worth of material or $5 for 5 seconds worth of sticking a label to a box. I will never ever ever use them again or maybe even do business with any compnies who make me use them as a shipper cause I know I am getting overcharged for services that arent anything better than the usps, amazon, or anyone else. Seriousy wish I could give them a zero. read more

I don't think the person who assisted me was the manager, but she sure acted very bossy and curt. She should remember that we're not there to do her a favor, but quite the opposite. She constantly apologized to waiting customers while mumbling half hearted and insulting instructions to me. A nicer attitude would have gone a long way in making both of our days better. read more
