But the employees there got through the line fairly quickly and Ken was able to help me out with the 3 items I needed shipped to 3 different locations. I think it's absurd that this UPS store charges $3 to print a label emailed to them. It wasn't printed on gold lined stock, rather 24lb Uncoated standard stock after I emailed it to store4382@theupsstore.com Charlie, the young man assisting me today instead of offering me any deal or exception, decided to inform me that they are a franchise location and the fee isn't determined by UPS but each independent franchisee. So you mean to tell me that you guys just personally decided to charge me $3 to print an emailed label over? It's pretty insane to be honest. So after a box and some bubble wrap I'm spending $10 to mail my old iPhone back to my carrier and Charlie is looking at me like I should be tipping him. I stopped at this location off Rose and Alta Vista on my way to visit friends in Placentia. Their location was inconvenient to locate. A small parcel in a shopping center that you'd easily pass by without noticing. I think there used to be a Home Town Buffet here that used to be the highlight of the center. I'm thankful these UPS Store Franchisees aren't in my town gouging the wallets of my neighbors with frivolous fees for less than par customer service interactions. Only reason I'm not giving them 1 star is in hopes my iPhone actually reaches it back to my carrier, because leaving here has me seriously questioning its delivery. D+ at best read more

I have been coming to this store for years (we live nearby). The staff is always polite, friendly and helpful. They're great at suggesting price-conscious packaging. Yes, some days they look tired, but as I wait my turn (briefly), I see the abundance of customers who are bringing Amazon returns and have not done "their part" of the return. I go here pretty often for all my delivery inquiries. I also think it's great how there's a notary services available until 5:30PM The only con I would say is, especially considering this pandemic going on right now, there was only one staff working. There was a huge line out the door I went. (Afternoon time on a Friday) They don't greet you or tell you "I'll be right with you" which I now understand the value how much that means. I would usually find this understanding, however; I did notice the staff helping us all was talking to someone in the back. They didn't even answer the phone. As I sit here and reflect on 2020 (There's not much else to do since I have COVID right now) one thing that came across my mind was the fantastic service I've received from different places. This was one of the places for sure! While I can say that I appreciate all the staff here for being easy going, helpful, and nice...there are two people here that really just made my 2nd half of 2020 that much better. I always go to the store looking forward to seeing them. They always remember my name, ask me how my businesses are going...they just always show that they care! 2020 was a hard year for me but these two people made it so much better for me. I use clear shipping bags I order from a shipping supply company to ship goods for my small business (The clear bags are designed to discourage theft, since my goods are not "high value," and are branded with our logo), and when dropping today's package off I was told they would not accept the package in the clear bag and that I needed to used their packaging. I ship approximately 8-12 packages per week in these bags (which, to be fair, I have had people at other UPS locations question the bags- because they think it is a return I am processing, or offer to put them in additional packaging for me), and have never once had the package refused. Over 100 shipments and I have never had a problem with the bags or a complaint from customers. Going forward I will be using other locations to avoid this inconvenience. I am thoroughly frustrated with the service I received. I came in early on Friday requesting my package be delivered the next day to my Aunt in Florida. I was charged $89.00 for next day air. The package did not arrive until Monday. I called the UPS store and was first told by the manager that she would review and call me back Within 30 minutes. After an hour and a half I called her back. And then proceeded to have to provide her with all the information from the cashier who helped me to the time that I dropped it off etc. She stated that I did not pay for overnight delivery.She continued to tell me I picked the wrong category. I reminded her several times that I came into her establishment requesting that my package be delivered on the following day. I was told by the cashier that it would be delivered by the end of the next day. The manager proceeded to tell me that this was human error and that her cashier was young but offered me no refund. I requested that she have the store owner called me back. And then called UPS directly and spoke with their representative who explained to me that next day air saver which was picked to send my package is only available Monday through Friday. He stated that the store representative should have notified me of this. That a three day delivery would've cost me approximately $40 and that would have been the more appropriate charge. I was not offered anything from the UPS store manager to make up for my overcharge that was done by their young, Inexperienced cashier. I understand that mistakes happen but I also believe in good customer service And I was not shown that today. read more
